This was the last year they made convertibles until starting again in 1984. Vehicle has white soft top and I have a new black soft top in box. I also have a white hard top that can easily mounted. Engine is not original, I purchased 350 4-bolt main truck block which is what are found in corvettes. I had a 400 hp rebuild kit installed in block. Engine is bored out .060 with 10 to 1 compression pistons, new rings, special camshaft, cam bearings, reground crankshaft machined .010 under on rod and main bearings, new 60lb pressure oil pump, new timing chain and gears, new lifters, 202 heads machined and valve job. Everything on engine is chrome (New chrome water pump, chrome new alternator, new chrome power steering pump, new chrome valve covers, new chrome intake manifold, new chrome timing cover, new chrome oil pan, rebuilt starter, new 4 barrel holley carb., New radiator w/electric cooling fan, exhaust is chrome headers with chrome side pipes w/mufflers in side pipes. Mufflers can be taken out but you will be pulled over real quick by cops, (Believe me). All new hoses, clear distributor cap and new special spark plug wires and spark plugs. I had the original 400 turbo transmission rebuilt. All new 4 wheel disc brake calipers, disc brake pads, disc brake rotors, disc brake hoses. New front shocks and stabilizer links, new windshield, new corvette paint job, new interior carpet, new interior door panels with chrome accents. The car has fender flares, makes car look wide track and sportier, body shop owner who did paint job said fender flares look to be done at factory as the seam under the fenders can not be seen. Most aftermarket fender flares are not done this good. Owner also had knowledge that the Indy 500 race use to order corvette convertibles from factory with fender flares to use in parading the drivers around the track in their drivers introductions. He thinks this car was one of those. Car is in excellent condition but I got car back from body shop and the speedometer and tachometer don\'t work and the original radio was not installed. They suggested to put aftermarket in. I\'m leaving it out for the new owner to decide. I have over $17,000.00 invested in this car and I need to sell it. I\'m willing to take a loss and sell it for $12,000.00. It runs great and is fast. NADA Classic Car Prices says low retail on this car is $18,000.00 this IS a great buy for the price to sell.
