Untitled Document 1999 Porsche 996 Carerra Cabriolet - Black/Grey Up for sale is my 1999 Porsche 996 Carerra Cabriolet. The car just rolled 90,000 miles and has been our steadfast weekend getaway vehicle since 2008. The title is clear, in my name, and in hand. The Porsche is a cabriolet model, with an automatic transmission and Porsche’s Tiptronic option for manual shifting. Also included is the original hard shell top and the Porsche OEM hard top caddy. The car also includes custom black O.Z. Alleggerita HLT wheels that were purchased in combination with Yokohama AVID ENVigor tires in May of 2011. The turn signals were replaced with clear shell turn signals but the originals will be included with the auction. The original radio was also replaced with a Pioneer head unit but the original Porsche OEM radio is also included in the sale. All the original manuals, tools, wheel lugnut key, spare tire and paperwork is included as pictured. Also included is a binder with all maintenance receipts since we have owned the vehicle. The car has always been garage kept under my ownership, and service was performed regularly by our local Porsche dealership. Recent maintenance includes an oil/filter change using Mobile-1 synthetic, steering wheel grommet replacement to correct a horn issue, and a new coolant reservoir. A few years back, the rear main seal was replaced along with some other regular maintenance, and currently, the car does not leak any oil. The tires have decent tread in the front, but the rears should probably be changed in the next 3-6 months. The interior is clean, and comes from a smoke-free home. There are no foul odors or stains of any kind. Premium fuel has always been used. The seats show typical wear for a vehicle of this age, particularly around the driver’s side lumbar cushion. The dash LCD has had the issue pictured around the temp readout since we have owned the vehicle, but it has never caused a problem. All the windows work correctly, as does the cabriolet top. See video of operation here: https://youtu.be/ZS79E1z4GLs . The rear plastic window is also in good condition with no yellowing or cracking. On the outside, the paint does have its fair share of dings and scratches. The worst spots being a ding on the driver’s door and damage to the nose where there is a scratch and cracked paint. There are a few other spots where the paint could use some attention as the car is black and shows every little blemish and imperfection, but it still looks excellent for a 17 year old vehicle. All the issues could be corrected by the new owner relatively easily. The car has never broke down, left us stranded or had any other major mechanical issues. Regretfully, I am selling now due to some life circumstances that require a more practical vehicle with 4 doors. The car is for sale elsewhere, and I reserve the right to sell it locally. The vehicle is being sold as-is, where-is with no warranty of any kind. Winning bidder must pay an immediate, non-refundable Paypal deposit of $500. Complete payment must be remitted within 10 days. I will accept cash or a cashier’s check drawn on US banks, title held until funds clear.
