1969 Corvette Custom Wagon Project, I built this car 3 years ago to this point and then it got put aside for another project. the car is a Blast from the Past, if you grew up in the 70's you remember seeing these type of Vette's on the cover of magazines along with the Motion and Ecklers Vette's First the car comes with a 350 4 speed ,Red exterior, Tan interior, tilt tele steering wheel, factory Rally Rims, the car had been sitting in a garage for yeras it was purchased because it had all original panels, the nose was taken off to be used on another 69 that was being restored at the shop I work at, I purchased the car with no nose, I always wanted to build a wagon Vette from the first time I saw one on the cover of Popular Hot Rodding back in 1975, I had a wagon back section in Great shape so I figured it was time to build one. The car was stripped down to bare chassis, the chassis was sent out to be blasted there were a few small areas of rot that was cut out and repaired, the chassis was primed and painted simi gloss black, every piece on the chassis is new or rebuilt, upper and lower control arms rebuilt, new engine and tranny mounts, new rotors and calipers all brake lines and hoses, new fuel lines, new body mounts and bushing, Chrome half shafts, rear spring and drive shaft, the chassis has a total rebuild and is worth the asking price in its self. The engine was not rebuilt but it was opened up to check, everything looked good, and all new seals were installed , same with 4 speed and rear end, it has new HEI dist. New starter, alternater, master cylinder, rebuilt carb, aluminum Torker manifold, new hoses and belts, New factory side exhaust, radiator was sent out to be checked, to many New parts to list, the car starts and runs Great. The body was also stripped down to bare glass, all seams were glassed in and wagon section was added with floor piece, 1969 Firebird tail lights were cut into rear panel, the back section was put in polyester primer but sitting for a year outside with a tarp on it the roof section bubbled up so that portion will have to be sanded down again and reprimed, the top section of the windshield frame was changed and has no rot, has Nova gas tank . I have a New 1980 nose surround with Monza style cut outs and a turbo style hood, that comes with the car, that needs to be glued on, I was originally going to put on an Original Mako nose that was purchased from Motion Performance years ago and thats were the project stopped, mechanically the car is pretty much done, but there is still some work to be done to finish, there are a lot of parts that come with the car to finish, the car needs seats and carpet, windshield, etc, one t top, PLEASE LOOK at pictures to see what your Getting into, I also have a New Mako nose from Baldwin Motion that was Never put on a car for sale, but that does NOT come with this auction, if wanted it would be Extra Cost, but could be worked into the Deal, I restore Corvettes for a living so the car was done right, I have a 59 Vette I would rather put my time in so that's the reason I am selling this project, no other, if you live in the area and would like to see the car and here it run no problem, but NO test rides, Please ask all questions before end of auction, Thanks Buyer MUST supply there own Pick up and Transportation of this car I will help with the loading of the car for transport
