I try to describe the vehicle to the best of my ability but the pictures will give you a better idea of the vehicle's overall condition. The time has come for me to sell my beloved Mazda RX-8. I have owned this vehicle for 6 years but it is time to let it go. I drive 33 miles to work (one way) so this is not a practical car for me at the moment. I have taken good care of this vehicle and it works and looks great! I prefer local pickup but if interested, out of state buyer will be fully responsible for shipping arrangements. It has had regular maintenance done consistently, I have the majority of service records available dating back to 2009. Oil was changed every 3,000 miles. I recently replaced the clutch kit and reinforced the clutch pedal to avoid the issue described here: so the clutch is brand new (not the pedal). As stated above, the car has around 88,000 miles on it at the moment, this number will go up a bit since I am still driving it. The original engine was replaced by Mazda under warranty, so the new engine has around 44,000 miles on it. All paperwork related to this replacement will be included. Interior shows little wear (only tear is in the shift boot, which has a small hole, see picture), the paint still shines like new. I recently replaced both the driver and passenger side sun visors. They are both in great condition. It is also worth mentioning that these cars had a known issue with moisture/water getting inside the tail lights. I have addressed this issue by replacing the gasket and resealing the taillight enclosures. More information on this here: Car comes with spare tire kit. All recalls have been completed, the last one was done in July, 2015 (replaced driver side air bag inflator). Car includes two sets of keys + FOBs and a valet key, so a total of three keys and 2 FOBs. Owner's manual is also included. I will even include two small bottles of Titanium Gray Touch up Paint (29Y) Cons: The heater/AC (temperature) control is a bit quirky, this is a known issue with these cars, it is a simple fix but I honestly have not had the time to repair it myself. You can find a description, as well as a solution to this known problem in this link: . The A/C - heater unit itself works without any problems. Tires are in OK condition but the rear ones might need replacement. (3/32 or 4/32 thread depth). Small dings here and there (minimal but all will be shown in pictures) and shift knob shows some wear. Most of the questions I get have already been answered within the following description. Vehicle Information & Description I have for sale a 2002 VW Jetta GLS. This car has manual 5 speed transmission. The odometer reads 191k miles. This is a 1 owner car which I bought in New Hampshire. It drives amazingly well for a car with 191k miles. At an average of 15000 miles per year, the average mileage for a 2002 car would be 180k miles. This car is only slightly higher than average at 191k. I filled it up with gas and drove it 1100 miles to Atlanta GA non stop. This car is in very good condition in spite of the mileage. Engine starts first time and idles smoothly. It is smooth and accelerates strongly in all gears. Transmission/clutch engages, shifts and downshifts smoothly in all gears. I would rate the exterior 7/10 because it a small rust patch on the front fender and some scratches on the right rear of the car. It’s still relatively clean though. There are NO other rust signs on the car. I would rate the interior 7/10. The interior is clean. Carpets are clean . No stains, rips or tears. The car has Power door locks, power windows, air conditioning, cassette/radio player, cruise control ,moon roof & heated seats. All these components have been tested and work well. The car has 1 key and no remote. This car has 4 matching Hankook Optimo tires with more than 70% tread left. The suspension is tight with no strange noises. The brakes also work well with no vibration or noise. They have not been inspected for wear though. This car has been cleaned but not detailed. As with any pre-owned vehicle, minor cosmetic flaws may be visible under close inspection. 1.2. Inspect the Vehicle. Please keep in mind a few requirements and courtesies. Please intend to, and be ready & able to (financially and otherwise), complete the purchase of the vehicle within the timeframes set out herein. Participating without the intention to complete the transaction is unfair to me the seller and to other bidders who may want the vehicle. It also wastes a lot of time and money. I may obtain the registered information of users participating in my auctions, and may filter or cancel any bids at my discretion. 2.2. End An Auction Early. "Buy it now" auctions may end at any time if the buy it now feature is exercised or a "best offer" is accepted. I seldom end my auctions early. However, I reserve the right to end any auction without notice at any time for any reason in my sole discretion. 3. Completing the Transaction 3.1. Contact Me. If you are the winning bidder, congratulations! You must contact me within 24 hours of the end of the auction to make arrangements for the completion of the transaction. Many of my auctions end well after normal business hours, so sending me a message through eBay is generally the best way. 3.2. Pay a Deposit. You must also pay a $500.00 deposit via PayPal within 24 hours after the end of the auction to secure the vehicle. 3.3. Pay the Balance Due. You must pay the remaining balance due (plus applicable fees and taxes – please see 3.5, below) within 3 days after the end of the auction. Failure to pay the remaining balance within the stipulated time will cancel the transaction and deposit paid is forfeited. 3.4. Payment Methods. I accept wire transfers, cashier's checks, and cash in person (under $10,000 only). I accept PayPal for the payment of deposits only. All funds must be in US dollars. 3.5. Fees and Taxes. 3.5.1. Dealer Fee. I charge a $100 dealer fee, which will be added to all transactions. This includes winning bids, buy it now prices, and best offers accepted. No exceptions will be made. 3.5.2. Sales Tax. 3.5.2.1. Georgia Buyers. I am required to GA Title Ad Valorem Tax (TAVT) which is currently set at 6.5% of the fair market value of the car based on the year , make and model as determined by the GA DOR. You will be responsible for paying your state's sales tax directly. 3.5.3. Tag & Title. 3.5.3.1. Georgia Buyers. I am required by law to handle your title work. Title work cannot be done in GA without payment of TAVT as specified above. Therefore, GA buyers will not be handed the title as was previously the practice. I will handle all the title work and the GA DMV will mail you a title in your name. You will be provided with a GA temporary registration valid for 30 days while the title work is being done. 3.5.3.2. Out-of-State Buyers. I will provide you with the vehicle's title if available at the time of sale. Most vehicles I sell have the title ready at the time of sale. In some cases, the title may be in transit or not ready. You are however guaranteed a clean and clear title within 21days of the sale. You will be responsible for handling the tag and title work in your state. 3.6. Exchange Documents and Signatures. There are, unfortunately, paperwork requirements for completing the transaction, which vary depending on whether you are from out-of-state or not. These will be discussed when you contact me initially. 3.7. If You Fail to Pay or Communicate with Me. I expect the transaction to go smoothly. However, if you fail to (i) make contact with me, (ii) pay the deposit, (iii) provide me with required signatures/documents, or (iv) pay the remaining balance (including applicable fees, taxes, and charges), within the timeframes set forth herein, I reserve the right to keep your deposit and re-list the vehicle or otherwise sell it as I see fit, without notice, at my sole discretion. I also reserve the right to report the issue to eBay as I deem fit. 4. Take Delivery of Your New Vehicle 4.1. Shipping. It is frequently less expensive to have a vehicle shipped to your location than it is to fly in and drive it back, and certainly more hassle-free. I can assist you in finding a shipper and can get very competitive shipping quotes. You pay the shipper directly and are responsible for delivery arrangements.
