Car has been owned & part of the Starbird Collection (nationally known for their show cars) since 1994. Complete ground up restoration has recently been completed with less then 50 miles since restoration. Car was professionally restored by Starbird back to complete original factory specs including complete body, interior, mechanical & electrical components down to nearly every nut & bolt. Polo white with Sportsman red interior & tan convertible top. Wonderbar radio, e-brake light, heater, courtesy lamps, side curtains with bag. Has matching Sportsman red cockpit cover. Car is near perfect in every category. A better example would be hard to find. To restore another to this condition would cost in the hundreds of thousands. We believe this El Camino to have its original 396 c.i. 350 h.p. V8 engine, 400 Transmission and 12 bolt differential. The carburetor was replaced years ago and so that is the one item that is not original. This vehicle was also color changed to a very dark metallic green which now how primered spots as you can see in the photos. This was a very poor quality paint refinish. The body and underside of the vehicle look very solid. The only rust through we see on the body are the left front corner of the drivers door and the adjoining fender. There is also a crack in the lead filling the body seam on the left pillar panel behind the drivers door. The El Camino drivers out good as you can see in the video. It does need a tune up but the powertrain seems to be in good basic mechanical condition. Ready To Buy? Many people are not comfortable with buying a vehicle on this format and we understand that. We believe this El Camino to have its original 396 c.i. 350 h.p. V8 engine, 400 Transmission and 12 bolt differential. The carburetor was replaced years ago and so that is the one item that is not original. This vehicle was also color changed to a very dark metallic green which now how primered spots as you can see in the photos. This was a very poor quality paint refinish. The body and underside of the vehicle look very solid. The only rust through we see on the body are the left front corner of the drivers door and the adjoining fender. There is also a crack in the lead filling the body seam on the left pillar panel behind the drivers door. The El Camino drivers out good as you can see in the video. It does need a tune up but the powertrain seems to be in good basic mechanical condition. Ready To Buy? Many people are not comfortable with buying a vehicle on this format and we understand that.
