EXCEPTIONAL 1998 BMW M3 - COUPE - 5SP Thanks for viewing this listing of an exceptional M3. Let me not insult you by reciting the many engineering specifics of the M3 which add to its style, comfort, drivability, and performance. They are well documented in many industry magazines. If you are a serious lover of older BMW's you will know immediately that this one is exceptional. This one stands out with only 81,376 miles. This vehicle is currently owned by a local business man, who has babied this gem from when he became its second owner at 25,000 miles. He has asked me to list it for him. As my feedback supports, you can bid with confidence knowing the car has been honestly and accurately described. The clean Virginia title is in hand, so there will be no holdup upon purchase. Lets talk about this one...... Exceptional is the adjective that comes to mind. The body integrity is almost flawless. Being a 'country car' you will find the exterior absent the classic door dings, or curb rash that is common in 'city' driven vehicles. There has been paint work on the right side from an impact with a wandering deer, one of the dangers of 'country' driving. The body shop did an excellent job. I could only find one small rock chip on the front bumper. The Titanium Silver paint sparkles like new. All glass is clear -- without cracks or chips. The Dove Grey leather interior is clean and subtle. It does show some slight wear on the driver's side arm rest and seat bolster. The Vadar front seats are heated! The carpets are clean. They show no wear. The head liner is sagging. It is more pronounced just aft of the sunroof. This is shown in my photos. This is a common problem in the E36b series. The shifter knob does show normal wear. And the last interior flaw is that the driver seat recline is inoperable. This can be corrected easily with a forty dollar part! The GOOD news is; no warning lights on the dash, and all original systems operate as expected. The A/C is cold and the heat is warm. All window regulators work. The sunroof opens but it has a fragile way about it. The responsive six cylinder engine roars like tiger making this car fun to drive. The handling is tight and responsive. There are no undesirable knocks, hisses, rattles, or leaks! The clutch is strong. The transmission shifts through the gears without slips or grinds. The original feel and performance remain in part because of the pampered use, timely maintenance, and low mileage. The battery is new. The Fuzion ZRi 235/40/R17 tires are practically new. I estimate the tread remaining is 90% -- both front and rear. The original equipment 6 disk CD changer (mounted in the trunk) does operate! The owner has installed and aftermarket intake and xenon headlights. The OEM equipment is available if you desire. Please bid to own this vehicle.
