The body is perfect with no dents, just crisp lines and smooth contours! Beings this is a factory new car ALL panel gaps are perfect and EVERY thing works as it should! NO RUST!! The paint that was laid down over this beautiful body was done by Mitch Lanzini from Overhaulin. It is a beautiful black base that shines very well with a flat white hood and roof. The accents are done in candy red and blue with pearl added as well. All of the accents are striped by hand! About 10k was invested into this paint. All of the glass is clean and the head light show no signs of chips or cracks. The front lip shows no sign of scrapes or bottom outs. All trim is super clean! The interior is incredibly clean as well and you can’t even tell it has been sat in. It shows this car only has 17k miles on it! The carpets are free of stains or rips and the floor mats look brand new as well! The headliner is free of stains and is showroom TIGHT! Absolutely LOADED With navigation, U connect, USB, Power leather seats and all the bells and whistle’s of an SRT-8! The engine bay is super clean as pictures show and is BONE stock! The car breaths through a Magnaflow exhaust and it sounds incredible at idle and gets even better when you smash the gas! The suspension has been tightened up a bit and features Hotchkis springs and of course has the factory “sport suspension” switch that will stiffen it up even more! Up for bid is a 2001 Monte Carlo LS we bought for our mother about 3 years ago. A nice running car with average miles and wear and tear for the year. The car has recently had added new Aero race wheels, cooper cobra tires, fuel pump, filter, full tune up, brakes. battery, and complete oil change. Due to our mothers declining health we are selling as it just sits in the garage. What we are not selling are the graphics and modifications done to the car since we have owned it, that make it's appearance to resemble a race car. This car was never raced or owned by the great Dale Earnhardt. That being said It was bought for our mother whom had to be Dales greatest fan. When he passed away our mother was depressed for many months and to this day says racing isn't the same without him. You could have sworn she lost a brother. Our family chipped in and together built what she calls the best present she ever got. Other than the lower stance of the car, it is a stock Monte Carlo that can be driven every day.((( A strong word of caution, do not buy this car if you do not like lots of attention because it attracts a lot of people wherever it goes))) The hood and trunk pins, fuel filler, side exit exhaust and fuel cell are for looks and non functional. The decal in the rear window was made specifically for our mother. The cars decal is the only one known to exist. The car runs and drives wonderfully and would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. If you would like, we would pick you up at the airport and you could drive it home. There is about a 12 inch crack that is at the bottom of the windshield and goes up the passenger side of the windshield. The ac is cool but not cold, probably needs a recharge The interior isn't spotless but isn't torn anywhere and was not smoked in to our knowledge. The body has small dings and scratches that in my opinion make it look more like a race car. Please remember this auction is for a stock 2001 Monte Carlo and anything related to Dale Earnhardt or Goodwrench racing is not for sale and can be easily removed at the buyers discretion. We can also have car shipped if you want. We had our fathers car shipped over 700 miles for $450 but it took 2 months. Please feel free to ask any questions. The body lines are true and crisp and the curves have a nice clean radius to them. The doors all shut as they should without any sag. The trunk opens just as it should without any striker issues. The hood opens and closes as it should with no issues. The paint was laid down very well and graces the body in an incredible fashion. It was repainted trim tag correct Gulfstream Aqua Blue, a rare factory color that looks super cool and stands out from other 64s! There are some rock chips but they have been touched up very well. All of the trim and bumpers shine with confidence as do the headlights witch are free of clouds without any chips or cracks and NO condensation build up. The emblems look beautiful and are put in the correct spots. The rally wheels look to be brand new as do the redline tires! All glass is in great condition and free of cracks. The interior is super clean and looks to be brand new! The seats look like they have never been sat on without any distress lines! The carpet is free of stains, tears and rips and looks awesome. The dash pad is NOT sunbaked and looks to be brand new as well! The head liner is super clean and free of damage as well. This interior is top notch and the gauges are super clear as well! This GTO retains its factory AM radio that makes noise but doesn’t work. The door panels look to be recovered as well and ALL hardware works. The trunk looks great and includes the spare tire and a jack. This car runs, drives and stops incredibly well and is one of the best driving classics I have sat in EVER! The fit and feel of this machine driving down the road is incredible! It pulls great through every gear and feels awesome with your foot into the gas! The car is powered by a 389 with Tri-Power but was originally equipped with a 4- Barrel (as the PHS shows). It shifts incredibly well and the clutch feels super strong. No hiccups when running through the rears at all! The Muncie M20-Speed manual transmission is believed to be original as well as the rear end but unfortunately Pontiac didn’t start serial matching until mid-67. This transmission and rear end give you an incredible amount of control of a timeless American classic! With power steering and power disc brakes this car is defiantly a driver that is comfortable and road worthy. The undercarriage is super solid and clean as pictures show. The frame on the car is original and in excellent condition! I have pictured ALLOT of cars undercarriages and for a driver this thing looks better than allot of cars from the 2000,s! We have the largest showroom in the Midwest with over 23,000 sq. feet of show room space and we see ALLOT of cars. It was laid down well and I would say is a strong eight and a half out of ten. It is hard to put a number on paint as people’s opinions differ, but I am VERY critical on paint in our show room under the florescent light. The grill and rear bumper shine well and look great, being true and vibrant. The doors shut like brand new and body gaps look great. The 17in Year One rims give this GTO an AWESOME stance! The deep dish wheels really make it stand out and are one of my favorite features on the car. They are wrapped in a BF Goodrich G-Force sport and look awesome. I have driven plenty of cars running this same tire and I absolutely love them! The interior having so many brand new items looks show room quality. The front buckets have no sign of wear and the back fallow suit as well. The wood steering wheel looks incredible resting in the wood grain dash with super clear gauges.
