Chassis # VE555001196 This particular chassis has no racing history. We restored it from a basket case to commemorate the famous EX87/5951 Corvette which set the 150+ mph speed record at Daytona Beach in January 1956. It is presented as closely as possible to the paint scheme and configuration of that milestone car in Corvette History. This Corvette has been an extremely successful vintage race car, appearing at Monterey Historics/Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion 5 times. It was invited for 2014, but we were unable to attend. It has appeared at the Wine Country Classic/ Sonoma Historic Motorsports Festival 10 times and has raced numerous times at Coronado and Portland. It is a consistent top 5 finisher in a race group which also includes the same period purpose built “specials”. It is consistently the fastest production based car in its group. The Corvette has won the Best Overall Perfomance and Presentation Of The Event award at the Wine Country Classic, 2003,The Automobile Magazine True Spirit Of Vintage Racing award, Monterey Historics 2002, and its share of the Motul Sportsmanship award given to our team at the 2008 HSR-West Fontan Historic Festival and the Driven To Excellence award given to our team at Coronado, 2011. The Corvette was restored by J & D Corvette in Bellflower, CA and has been maintained and race prepared by them ever since. This Corvette has a correct 265 ci engine. It is a 1956 block, which has provision for an oil filter. It has all top quality engine internal parts chosen for reliability as well as performance. It has one weekend on a fresh engine. It has a period correct Carter 4 barrel carburetor which has been painstakingly set up to perform well in road racing. The cam was chosen to be compatible with the original type stamped steel rocker arms required at Monterey and Sonoma. It has Doug Holmberg custom headers and exhaust system, including a set of Laguna Seca legal Flowmaster mufflers which are can quickly and easily replace the straight pipes when required. It has a Ron Davis racing radiator. It has a McLeod lightweight racing clutch and flywheel and a Chevrolet close ration 3 speed gearbox. It has period correct heavy duty racing drum brakes. It has a VARA legal bladder type fuel cell and a foam type on board fire system. It will come with 3 race prepared positraction gearsets, 4:56, 4:11 and 3:70. It has 2 sets of wheels. This is a turnkey car which was race prepared for Monterey 2014 and has not been run since. You can unload it off the trailer and go racing with a fast, reliable and competitive car which is eligible to race anywhere. It has previously run on Dunlop tires and will come with 2 sets, one almost new and one practice set. Hoosiers were allowed for Monterey and it has a sticker set of Hoosiers mounted

100% high performing steel and sex appeal! This is a really clean 1996 Eldorado Touring Coupe. The head gasket issues and the oil leaks have been freshly repaired. We installed the SuperStar Stud System in this diamond to totally eradicate your head gasket concerns. Having the cyclinder heads sent to our local machine shop and installing a complete upper end headset were part of the repair. We also did a complete reseal on this engine. The complete reseal includes splitting the block in half and resealing the lower crankcase, then we install a new oil manifold and seal it, we reseal the oil pan, rear main seal, and lastly the front crank seal or timing cover seal. We thoroughly checked and verified the bottom end components of this machine. We solely specialize in the repair of the Northstar engine. This engine was made to do 300k mi - 400k mi. easily but the head gasket problem has made this great engine notorious. The radiator, thermostat and water pump were recently replaced by the previous owner. Please if you plan to purchase a Northstar powered car make sure these 2 issues have been addressed visit us at cadillacheadgasketfix.com.
