Very rare car, only 366 L82 convertibles produced. 4-speed close ratio transmission, just under 27,000 actual miles, Gymkhana suspension, deluxe black interior, power steering, non-power brakes, original white soft top. Always stored in heated garage until just recently. Car has never seen rain or snow. No rust anywhere. Car has numbers matching engine. All numbers I have checked so far have matched up with NCRS date code specifications. Paint is very nice but has some small stone chips from driving. Car was partially repainted when it was new due to poor factory paint quality. AIR system has been removed. Could use new exhaust. 1971 Corvette Stingray convertible barn find. I have owned this car since 2001. I purchased it from a farmer about 20 miles from me. He bought it in 1972. It was a drivable project when I parked it, but has not run since 2004. The car does not currently run or drive. I planned on giving it a complete body-off restoration, but have not had the time to begin it. It has been in a dry garage ever since I have owned it. It has 71,523 miles on it. The paint is almost all original and has a great patina to it. The interior is in very good shape for its age. The convertible top frame is also in very nice shape. The engine is the original numbers matching engine. This car will need frame repair and windshield frame repair due to rust. It does have some rust issues, but I have seen worse on other cars. The frame is rusted out in the rear kickups area. The windshield frame/birdcage will require repairs or replacement, depending on how it looks when the car gets stripped down. Understand that these types of repairs are generally not for the novice. This is a great project car with tons of originality to it. It is not a turn-key cruiser, and will more than likely require a complete restoration. A fantastic winter project! This beauty needs to be put back on the road! Email any questions.
