This great running 1997 Mercedes E300 Diesel with just 119,960 miles was traded in on a new Benz by its second owners (2 sisters in their eighties) who purchased it in 2003 with 82,471 miles. It is gleaming white on blue MB-Tex interior. It has power seats, locks, windows, and mirrors; A/C; AM/FM/CD radio; cruise control; and rear defroster. This diesel runs GREAT. Smooth and quiet. Starts ever so easily. Always serviced by MB. The interior is a "10". NEVER smoked in. Not even any wear on the drivers seat. Rugs are like new too. Everything works properly except steering column adjuster isn't working. The body is clean and shiny. No rusty spots. Just beautiful white paint. Car was always garaged. Drivers side mirror is cloudy, but still functions. Tires (winter tread) are excellent, as are the brakes. Looking for a car that will run and run and run for 100s of thousands of miles? This is it! Please look closely at this 1999 Mercedes SL500. It was owned by my friend who babied it, but now, with six cars, his wife said one HAS to go! This SL is Silver on Ash. It has both a hard roof (in storage), and the convertible top (shown). The engine, transmission and drivability is GREAT! Smooth and quiet. The interior is clean, with everything working properly. The 2 flaws are: Drivers seat side bolster is worn (see pic); passenger side window should drop down slightly when opening door, but does not. That's it! Everything else is nice. Never smoked in. Climate control working perfectly. The body is gorgeous. CarFax confirms this 2-owner beauty has NEVER been in a collision. Paint is brilliant. No dents. Soft top is in great condition and goes up and down flawlessly! Toyo Proxies are recent. Looking for a Mercedes SL for your summer home that wont break the bank? This is it!!
