Greetings to All!! imotors is quite pleased to offer this Gorgeous 1968 Camaro RS/SS Coupe. This car belongs to a very long time lady friends husband who has recently passed away. She has asked me to help sell his cars. She knows what she has, as to reasonable values. Low ball offers will be ignored. We ALL know what it's worth! Look at it as a rare opportunity to own a car that was NEVER to be sold!!! This was one of Chuck's fav's!! One of the few that were basically road ready and useable. As I can't ask for any info, I will do the best that I can to describe it, based on what I see. I recommend personal, or at least professional inspections BEFORE auctions end! The cowl/firewall tag is MISSING!!! I don't know where it is, so purchase without it! As there is no cowl/data tag, I can't say for sure what it is. It has the Rally Sport lighting, including working hideaway headlights, so one could "assume" that is is a true RS(I know, it could have been made up). It also has an "SS" Fuel cap, and "SS" emblems on the hood, and grille. You all can decide what it is!! It is currently sporting an "LS" 6.0 Liter engine. From what I can see by internet research(I cannot find a block casting number anywhere), it is a "Gen III" LQ4 with 713 aluminum heads and a cast iron block. It has a 5 speed manual gearbox. There are aftermarket disc brakes on the 10 bolt rear end. It has sub frame connectors, and traction bars. I would assume that it has had new panels installed, such as floors, wheel houses, quarters etc. There is painted over seam sealer on the quarter panel seams, and in the rain gutters, indicating replacement/repair? Most of these cars rusted and have been restored with replacement panels. For you serious buyers, I have underneath pics. Again, Please inspect before you buy!. The paint and chrome are just Gorgeous!! The interior needs minor finishing as you will note in the photos. Glove box is MIA, and heater core is just stuffed into the hole. There is a large loop of wires under the dash. I don't know what they are for! Headliner needs finishing, and front and rear window moldings need attached. I can listen to a CD, but no radio reception due to missing antenna. The tach does not work..must need hooked up? It runs and drives great. I think the shift linkage needs adjusted, as reverse doesn't seem to go all the way in. The car will back up, but you need to hold the shifter in place. Al 5 forward speeds are fine. Clutch and brakes feel fine. Tires are close to new. We have a clean Pa. title that reads exempt for miles. The Camaro is currently registered and wears a Pa. Antique tag. My friend wants to sell these cars at a reasonable price. The car is at my dealership, and is available anytime for inspections. All reasonable offers will be presented and considered. What I noticed, besides the custom paint, flames, and other touches that you can readily see, it has Hi Performance drilled rotors all around, and All four calipers are red, and could be also high performance. It has coil over Yellow shocks all around. I am guessing Bilsteins(As soon as my lift is free, we will put it up and take pics), and Stainless exhaust with dual tail pipes. It runs and drives quite well, and, as expected, very very fast. Has a really nice high end sound system, and ice Cold Air Conditioning. This is a real X55 SS 350 Camaro, as per the cowl tag. I heard that X55's didn't have gutter and wheel opening trim. This one does. The motor number does not match. I can forward you a pic of the pad. It is currently a 4 speed. I don't know if it was born this way. I would assume that it has had new panels installed, such as floors, wheel houses, quarters etc. I am not at all sure about this, but most of these cars rusted and have been restored with replacement panels. If not, it's a bonus! I have underneath pics. Again, please inspect before you buy!. It has aftermarket disc brakes on the rear. A large Moroso oil pan. An aftermarket tilt column with no ignition lock(Key is to the left of the Column on the dash). Traction bars, and probably some other stuff that either I don't know what it is, or I missed it!! The paint and chrome are just Gorgeous!! The Ivory Houndstooth interior with deluxe door panels is brand new. The headliner has a tear, and a new one is included. There is no sound system. It runs and drives great. I think the font end needs at least an alignment, as it feels a bit squirrly. Clutch and brakes feel fine. Tires are close to new. My friend wants to sell these cars at a reasonable price. The car is at my dealership, and is available anytime for inspections. All reasonable offers will be presented and considered.
