1969 Mercedes 280 SE original convertible.Purchased in Texas 5 years ago with the intent to restore it.It is a solid running car. Rebuilt engine with original parts imported from MB Classic Germany. There are 3 spots that need to be fixed during restoration to make it perfect. 1-Spare part section has two layer of sheet metal.The inner metal surface rusted. 2-Front Passenger floor has 2" patched. But All of the floors are original no rust. 3-The corner of wood veneer has 1"-2" crack needs to be glued. I can send more pictures of underneath(original black textured tar , no rust underneath). I can send detail picture of the surface rust and floor repaired area. The car sits in the garage 3 years after the engine was rebuilt It is a good candidate car to restore. Original mileage unknown, engine rebuilt with a few miles on it. Car is sold as is. Payment is to be made by cashier check. Deposit due via paypal within 48 hours. Very nice paint job (4-5 years old), but there are a few chips that have been touched up. New Vinyl top (4-5 years old) I would classify it as not perfect, but a very very nice Camaro. Known Issues: Radio Does not work Horn Does not work Backup Lights do not work I was told that the motor is a 1969 396 (not a 1968 like the rest of the car). As far as the rest of the car being a numbers matching original SS 396, I don't know. I'm selling this car for a friend that just passed away, so if it sounds like I do not know everything about this car, it's because I don't. But if you have questions, ask them and I'll do my best to answer. I am very knowledgeable about Camaros and old muscle cars in general so I'll be able to tell you what I can figure out. He asked me to sell it and put the money away for his Grandson's education, so that's what I'm doing. I have driven the car some lately, it seems to run and drive like it should. Has lots of power, trans shifts good, steers well and of course a good looking classic like this turns heads. This car is for sale locally so I may end the auction early.

Soon to be a classic, this car is a gem and so much fun to drive! #5249 of only 5582 made to commemorate the 1968, Steve McQueen move "Bullitt," and getting rarer. It is in nearly immaculate condition and still smells slightly new inside. I am the original owner and have the original paperwork. Never any smoking, food, or children inside. I 've found 2 tiny chips in the paint. It comes with a bra. The headlight lenses and trunk brake light have been replaced due to some fogging, but I have the originals. Still using the original battery! No wrecks, no repairs, just oil changes. It has new tires only because of the age of the originals. It was garaged the first half of its life then kept outside and covered. Rarely driven in the rain, never in the snow. This is my fun car, but I have too many cars and have decided to cut back.
