1977 "PRO STREET" CAMARO Body: Steel body with fiberglass fenders, hood & doors. Roll up Percy's glass in the side windows, brite blue metallic paint with silver accents. Chassis: Moly tube chassis with 12 pt roll cage with swingout door bars, NHRA 8.50 cert, Polished engine mounting plate and mid plate, Art Morrison Alum A-arm front with QA1 coilover shocks and rack, S&W ladder bar suspension w/QA1 coilovers, Narrowed 12 bolt rear 3.73 gears, Moser spool & 33 spline axles, Ultra brace cover, 5/8" wheel studs, 4 wheel WILWOOD disc brakes, Wheelie Bars, removable DJ Safety parachute. Engine: 388 Small block (3.75 x 4.040) 4 bolt main, ARP studs top & bottom, double keyed 4340 crank, h-beam rods, Wisco forged blower 8:1 pistons, Roller valvetrain, Comp Cam belt drive, Steff's alum oil pan,-10 Alum spread port Brodix heads, B&M 420 Mega Blower, 750 Blower carbs, MSD ignition, Engine oil cooler with fan unit. Dyno sheets available - 750 hp at 18 lbs of boost, street tune is 650 hp. Multiple blower pulleys for 6,10,18,25 lbs of boost. Trans: Bad Habit Racing power glide, Stage 5 build w/Pro Tree Trans Brake, 176 gear set, Deep alum pan & CSI trans shield. Hughs 10" 4800 stall & Plate style oil cooler. Cooling: 2 Row BeCool alum radiator with 3300 CFM Black Magic fan in custom fabricated shroud that produces 180* temps on the warmest days or back to back track passes. CSI electric water pump. Fuel: Polished 15 gal alum cell with sender, Aeromotive 1000 pump & return type regulator, #10 line to & from. Exhaust: Coated Hedman spread port 1 7/8" header, 3 1/2" alum pipe to Flowmaster 3 1/2" oval series 10 mufflers. Interior: Factory dash with functional gauges/lights, tilt steering, new factory carpet, door panels, headliner, Kirkey alum race seat/covers, 5 pt harness, window net, mini rear seat between tubes, B&M pro stick shifter, Parachute release lever. Wiring: Factory harness, all accessories are relay controlled, trunk mounted battery w/outside shut off switch, operational lights, turn signals, speedometer, radio. Misc: Engine does have Nitrous plates installed and functional, Current best e.t. at the track was 9.40 @ 149, average is 9.50 @ 146 with old torque converter. A new custom converter has been installed and should improve e.t. .10-.15. This car can be driven on pump gas (93 octane) anywhere without issue, due to boost capability short durations of speed are fine. When the car is ran to potential a minimum of 110 race gas is installed. The detail of the car does not come across in pictures, must be seen.
