With its enlarged engine of 8.4 liters (stouter pistons and rods from Chrysler's popular 6.1-liter Hemi V8 have made possible a 1-millimeter increase in the V10's cylinder bore, swelling the displacement from 8.3 to 8.4 liters — a whopping 510 cubic inches), and variable valve timing system helped horsepower rise to a staggering 600hp! A substantial increase in the compression ratio from 9.6:1 to 10.2:1 results from reworked combustion chambers. The fuel injectors now reside in the heads, close to the intake valves instead of farther upstream. Each spark plug now has its own coil. And a swinging pickup in the oil pan (borrowed from the Viper Competition Coupe) prevents oil starvation in the V10 during high-g driving. Other changes were relatively minor. A new transmission was installed, and the exhaust system lost its crossover, which lowered interior temperatures. The electrical system was revised and run-flat tires were abandoned in favor of conventional ones with better grip, but the Viper was now performing at a level where there was little room for improvement. Though the performance of the reworked engine grabs headlines, the adjustments to the Viper's suspension are arguably more significant. They make the 2008 Dodge Viper SRT-10 simultaneously more livable on the street and more corner-capable on the track. This car is a BLAST through the turns! The addition of a GKN ViscoLok speed-sensing limited-slip differential greatly helps the tires in getting grip under acceleration! The wheel and tire combo really sets the car off well giving it a nice aggressive stance. The interior is completely restored and clean as well with all new door panels, console, seat covers and carpet as well. There are no tears, rips or stains anywhere! All of the custom gauges work properly and look great as well. The undercarriage is nice as well and you will notice all tubular control arms in the front end with NEW polly bushings. It is astonishing to look at the bottom of an original car including floors, rockers, and trunk pan and see-áNO patch work. It is so incredibly nice it brings joy to peopleGÇÖs hearts and tears to their eyes! The engine bay has had so much attention to detail that it is incredible to see when you pop the hood! In this bay rests a LS3 396-áthat has been built ran through and runs strong. It is paired up with its original automatic transmission and 10 bolt rear end geared perfect for cruising. Looking at what used to be a stock dash that is now COVERED in race quality switches and gauges. Jack Douglass signed on to be a Yenco franchise dealer initially selling a number of Yenko converted COPOs. Douglass then ordered a number of COPO Camaros from Chevrolet around March of 1969 and Douglass worked out an agreement, The Douglass acquired COPOs were converted, tuned and then sold as Yenkos. The striping and badging were added by Douglass. On the Douglass made yenkos the bowties are on the left of the car and the 427 rear panel was not installed, this is where the Jack Douglass panel now rests. There is model cars of the 69 Yenko that are based on the Douglass! They are also very limited like the Douglas was and is to this day! This build was actually sourced from Douglass and the end result is a beautiful, timeless road machine! Everything on this car is BRAND new! Every nut and bolt! It is Douglass Yenko reminiscent from decals, badges and even Yenko style exhaust! The exterior of this car is HIGH quality and SUPER straight! The bodylines are CRISP and contours are smooth!! The 69 looks great from ANY angle! The paint that was laid down is beautiful, well and shines like a calm lake at sunrise! The stripes are spot on and look incredible as well! The trim is ALL beautiful. I can tell if it is new or just really well taken care of. The glass is all super clear as well! The bumpers and rocker panels all shine like new and show well! The headlights are clear and show no road damage such as chips or cracks. This car is above and beyond BEAUTIFUL!! The interior is SHOW quality as well! The bucket seats and rear look to have NEVER been sat on! The carpet is free of stains and looks GREAT! The headliner is TIGHT and free of stains as well. The Hurst shifter looks great and right at home! The gauges are super clear and easy to read. The engine bay is where the real magic happens! A LS6 454 crate short block sits right at home! It has a 416 crank, BBC dimple rods, factory pistons, 4 bolt main and it sounds great! It uses 69 rectangle closed chamber heads with a Comp Cam with a nice mild grind. It also has a Holly 780 carb, 12 bolt posi rear end and 4.10 gears. It sounds incredible with stainless headers and CORRECT chambered exhaust! It also has a 70s era stall converter. This car pulls great through every gear and is an incredible running and driving vehicle that turns heads everywhere it goes and puts heads against the seats every time you get into the gas! The interior of this car is super clean as well with perfect seats! These seats do not even appear to have been sat on before! They have no stress marks at all! The carpet is brand new and free of rips and stains. The headliner is nice and tight and free of stains as well. The center council looks incredible and hosts a nice addition of an oil and temp gauge! The white Hurst shift knob completes the center council very well! The programmable shift light is nice and it also has an audible chirp so you can keep your eyes on the road! The six speed manual transmission shifts as smooth as butter and hits every gear with no issues at any RPM. The clutch is nice and stout and feels good being very responsive! They call it an Octane Red, A blend of gold pearl, candy and a side of awesome sauce! It is so hard to believe that the paint on this car is 5 years old! It was maintained so incredibly well that it is astonishing! The candy and pearl dances in the sun like no other. Watching it drive you get the feeling you are in the presence of something special, and you are! A one off car that will never ever be mistaken for just another Saleen. This is the Saleen! All the added flare of the Super Flow hood, custom rockers (with chevrons) and lengthened rear end makes this pony look So sleek! The grille and front fascia are a nice added aggressive look as well. All body panels are super straight and the lines are nice and crisp. All of the body gaps line up perfect! It really just flows so incredibly well that it is hard to describe yet alone take it all in with your eyes. This car is a statement of a group of Michigan-based auto-parts companies that have absorbed Saleen Performance. They made a HUGE statement by rolling out this new crazy quick Stang! The most significant and noticeable change is under the hood. This is where the Saleen Series VI supercharger boosts (literally) output to a massive 485 hp and 460 ft-lb of torque! I have personally went for a ride in this machine and it pulls hard through every gear, especially when the revs build up! The short through 5spd manual gearbox returns a fast super-efficient shift. It is also equipped with a limited slip differential and 3.73:1 final drive ratio. It is such a blast to ride in! The Saleen is also fitted with a tremendous suspension upgrade as well. Gracing the under carriage is a well-engineered Racecraft suspension that lowers the car about an inch and utilize specially tuned single rate front and rear springs, nitrogen-pressurized front struts and rear shocks with a nice wide range of damping adjustments that will suit your driving needs! A specially tuned front sway bar with performance pivot bushings is also an added bonus. The interior hugs you with new leather sport seats that feature Ultra-Suede inserts that are highlighted by chevron-like Ultra-Sued red tabs in the seat back bolsters. With unique treatments of the gauges, steering wheel, center council and shifter this car really stands out! This Mustang has the nicest engine bay I have seen in a 69 for a long time. It is so incredibly clean. The chrome strut tower bar and frame brace look incredible in the painted black bay. The aluminum radiator is a nice modern upgrade and looks good to boot! Detail was even tracked down to polished battery tie down as well. The shaker hood cut out was well done and is an awesome way to bring flat black to the exterior. The panels are nice and straight, and body gaps are nice and equal. The paint looks really good over all. It does have minor patina and wear so you know the car is a driver. Clear coat is nice and shiny and looks good at all angles as pictures show. The black vinyl top looks to be brand new! All bumpers are nice and bright along with all trim and accents. The chrome polish mustang wheels look great. The black mustang stripe was laid down good and gives it a nice touch of added flare. The interior is absolutely immaculate! Everything looks to be brand new. From the seats to dash pad to door panels and headliner the black is vibrant and seats are plush. Gauges are nice and clear, everything just works. The feel of the car is nothing short of spectacular! It runs, starts and drives extremely well. I wouldn’t hesitate to hit the road in this Grande and do some traveling.
