Was owned by a Chrysler Dealer from 1935-2010, Garage kept original paint and interior. There only original once! Rarer Imperial C2 Airflow Which is has a longer wheel base. Chrysler built the Airflow for only 3yrs. It was ahead of its time and is an extremely well built car. if your not familiar with the Airflow check out the Airflow Club Of America www.AirflowClub.com. This car appears to have it's original born with paint and interior. The paint and interior are showing age and patina but just adds to the originality of the car. Recent repairs: Fuel tank cleaned, Serviced and replaced needed parts on the hydraulic braking system, Carb rebuilt, Battery, New spark plugs, points, coil and key ignition since the original key tumbler had broke (included). All new side glass professionally done since original glass had delaminated. Runs good sure it could still use some TLC. Needed repairs: Interior dome lights are working but the exterior lights are not? I have purchased and will included all new 6v light bulbs for the car. Rear taillight lenses are missing. Fine tune the engine. Muffler needs replacement. Starts and runs great but idles high then the automatic choke kicks in and she idles great. Someone to enjoy the car.... In addition to its streamlined, Art Deco looks, the car was bursting with technical ingenuity: a novel beam and truss design combining light weight and superb strength (a precursor to the unibody); an enormous interior with 50-inch wide chair-height seats; for the first time in an automobile, a rear seat situated forward of the rear axle, offering unprecedented room; and an engine placed over the front axle 20 inches further forward than it did in other Chryslers, making for a very spacious front seat. Passengers sat within the wheelbase, resulting in a remarkably smooth ride. The public never quite warmed to the styling, and the Airflow disappeared after 1937 with only 55,000 produced for both Chrysler and DeSoto car lines over four years. Today, they are regarded as automotive icons due to the myriad technical and stylistic advancements the car offered, with over 50 engineering firsts and 72 national speed records. The futuristic styling is of course the hallmark of the Airflow, although the revolutionary unitary construction also made its share of headlines when new. The signature waterfall grille features prominently, as do the highly stylized bumpers and lamps. This elegant example is further enhanced with period-correct fender skirts, dual taillights, an exhaust extension, Appleton fog lights, artillery-type wheels, and wide whitewall tires.
