1965 Chevrolet short box fleetside, fitted on a Buick Roadmaster frame with a LT1 V8 and automatic transmission. The truck was built 18 months ago by a hotrod builder and has been a daily driver since. The 1965 body was fitted to a 1996 Roadmaster wagon frame with tow package. It retains all the stock running gear with power steering, power disk brakes, independent front suspension, posi rear axle (2.9 ratio) Lt1 and overdrive automatic transmission. The truck has the wiring from the Roadmaster and retains the factory fuel injection. The Roadmaster steering column has been used and the original cruise control works great. I use this truck every day for work and pleasure. It drives, stops and steers great. The body is in beautiful shape, it isn't rusty but the paint has been applied to look old. The fenders where new when built. The truck had to go through a safety inspection in order to be insured, so no problems with the truck. The interior is in decent shape with a later seat and seatbelts fitted. Everything works as it should (gauges, light, wipers, etc) It will start good in any weather. The motor has just been serviced with new coolant, oil, spark plugs and auxiliary belt. The transmission shifts great and with the gearing it's happy to cruise at 80+mph and return good Mpg.
