When it comes to high-performance aftermarket starter, carburetor, fuel-injection, and fuel-management systems for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, Terry is known as one of the leading authorities. He is also a member of the prestigious custom Harley-Davidson club, the Hamsters USA.Terry has been building custom motorcycles and hot rods for the past 30 years. His previous four-wheel customs include a '55 Chevy Bel Air and a '65 Chevy Impala. His most recent effort is this gorgeous yellow '55 Chevy panel, which took one year to complete. The flawless '55 panel supports Terry Components' high-performance image.Terry started with a custom-built boxed frame C-notched to accept the narrowed Ford 9-inch rearend stuffed with Richmond 4.11 gears. To achieve its aggressive stance, Terry used cut coils and 2-inch Chrysler drop spindles up front and flipped the rearend atop the rear leaf springs. A pair of Koni gas shocks helps stabilize the front suspension, while a pair of Koni air-adjustable shocks controls the rear's ride height and payload capabilities. The Chrysler spindles were teamed up with Cadillac disc brakes, located on each corner for equal stopping ability. The front 15x8-inch Weld Racing Pro Star aluminum wheels were wrapped in P245/55R15 Goodyears, and the rear 15x14-inch Welds were consumed in massive 29x15.50x15-inch Mickey Thompsons.Lifting the hood exposes a healthy '75 Chevrolet 454ci big-block shoehorned between the framerails. The engine block and cylinder heads were coated in exterior-matching hamster yellow. The round port cylinder heads were massaged by Terry Components. The polished aluminum intake manifold supports four Weber 48mm IDF fine-tuned down-draft carburetors. You have to check out the wild black-flamed carburetor, velocity stacks, and black-flamed valve covers. A smooth, polished aluminum firewall, black inner fenders, and a brass radiator top tank add to the total underhood presentation. A covered MSD Blaster ignition coil delivers the initial spark to the MSD distributor which distributes the electrical pulse to each cylinder's spark plug through the yellow Taylor 8mm ignition wires, which ignite the air and gas mixture inside the engine's combustion chamber. The engine's spent gases are exhausted through the 2-1/2-inch outside diameter Hooker Headers, which flow into the two-chamber Flowmaster mufflers, developing that distinguished, throaty rumble. The hamster hauler was then transported over to Terry's buddy, Bill Carter in Chatsworth, California, where all of the body was hammered out, straightened, filled, block-sanded baby-butt smooth, then sprayed with PPG DP 50 primer. It was then ready to receive multiple coats of hamster yellow. After some color sanding to eliminate blemishes and orange peel, the orange ghost flames were laid out and sprayed. After one final inspection, the flames and base color coats were buried in multiple coats of clear. The timeless interior was done by Terry using early model bucket seats covered in soft gray leather. Massive Chevy Bow Ties were embossed in the leather inner side panels, and the headliner also received gray leather treatment. The dash was maintained with the refurbished original gauges, knobs, and radio. Billet aluminum door handles and window cranks were installed. The door panels were dressed up by adding a gray leather scuff pad at the bottom of each door, and the armrests were covered in gray leather with a matching custom-stitched stash pouch. The entertainment system was kept simple with an AutoSound head unit with a six-disc CD changer running through an equalizer and amp, into the two 6-inch round speakers located in the door panels and 6x7-inch in the rear. For every show the yellow '55 panel has attended, it has earned a place in the top three spots. Needless to say, Terry's '55 Panel is definitely a distinctive hamster, and any hamster would be stoked to drive this too-cool panel. We would like to thank Keith's brother Kent for allowing us the opportunity to use his picturesque location at his estate outside of Paso Robles, California, in the wine country. His property was located on top of a sizable knoll, with a 360-degree panoramic view of the valley's vineyards below. As we rolled up and drove through the automatic rod-iron gates, up the winding cobblestone driveway leading to the 5,000-square-foot multi-story house, we were in awe gazing at the rich green lawn covering the rolling landscape featuring colorful flower beds and planters located throughout the property. Kent's massive 6,000-square-foot six-bay garage Mahal was a definite hit with myself and the featured truck owners. Behind every industrial roll-up door was an individual room specifically designated as an engine shop, a machine shop, a motorcycle museum, a street-rod museum, an entertainment room, and a nostalgic dragster shop."

1948 Chevrolet 3600** See video at bottom of listing ** 216 Inline 6 cylinder w/ 4 speed transmission Truck has been in the Southeast part of South Dakota most, if not all, of its life. Previous 2 owners were farmers and next door neighbors. Their combined ownership dates back to the early 1950s. The engine was completely overhauled by the previous owner, but he can’t recall the year it was done.Clean and clear South Dakota Title. Exterior: Every exterior panel is original with the original paint (except front bed panel – tailgate looks like it was replaced from a red truck). Only rust thru I could find was a small pin hole on the passenger side lower cowl panel and a couple small areas on the driver side bed side around bed level (all can be easily repaired without any replacement). Truck was well cared for, shedded and not worked hard. Previous owner said he and his brother used it to haul baby calves around their dairy operation. Some dings here and there but can be easily repaired without replacement. Interior: Floor panel has some rust thru in the front passenger corner and on the driver floor panel by the brake and clutch but can be easily repaired. Included are the replacement patch panels for the floor board, toe panel and lower inside cowls. All the gauges are original and work. Speedometer works, doesn’t wobble and is original and accurate. Seat covers appear original with the seams on the driver side split and patched with tape J Door panels appear to be original. Recently the truck has had many mechanical repairs to make it drive-able, as it hasn’t been driven for quite a few years. Repairs: Here’s a list of the repairs and parts that have been repaired or replaced: Engine tune-up (Plugs / wires / tune-up)Starter rebuiltNew brakesWheel cylinders and Master Cylinder rebuiltNew back windowNew Windshield4 new Tires & 1 spareNew valve cover / Oil pan / Lifter cover gasketsNew radiatorReplaced rear end pinion sealNew fuel sending unitNew white pine bed – stained black (like factory)New front bed panel (original was rusted out and gone at the bottom)New bed cross sills where needed.Original AM radio was sent out to have capacitors replaced and new buttons and face bezel.New headlinerNew Drag Link This vehicle is being sold as is, where is with no warranty, expressed written or implied. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE 1949 Chevy 3100 (1/2 ton) Pickup With power seats even my 5’0” tall wife can enjoy driving this little hot rod truck! She has mentioned that driving it is kind of like being in your own parade; lots of people look and check it out… it garners more compliments than almost any vehicle I’ve had. You won’t be disappointed or “surprised” when you get this home. Send me a message if there is something else you want to know. I took this in trade last fall and I’m planning a move, so need to downsize. Please take time to read the description and bid now to buy this cute little truck. Drivetrain: · Chevy Small Block Engine: Weiand manifold, Edelbrock carb (manual choke), stock cast exhaust manifolds. Some chrome dress up. Told this was a fresh build from NAPA-Johnson Machine when the truck was put together about 10 years ago. Supposed to be a 350, haven’t checked the numbers. Has a bit of a lope at idle, but doesn’t seem overly powerful to me. No leaks, no smoke, seems to be really good. Good dual exhaust system out the back, not too loud. Has a flex fan and also has an auxiliary electric fan on a switch. Never seen it over 210, usually runs about 190. Just replaced the starter. · TH 350 Transmission: Works fine. · Rear end: It’s a Ford 8.8 inch from what I can tell. Gear ratio is quite low, probably 3.90 or 4.10. Runs about 2600 rpm at 55-60 mph. · Chassis: Original Chevy frame with AMC Pacer independent front suspension featuring power rack and pinion steering. Aftermarket transmission cross member. Lowered rear suspension. · Wheels and tires: Big and little chrome reverse with Baby Moons. Good tread on all, BF Goodrich Eagles on the back and something else on the front. This truck sits low, and you do need to be conscious of that on dips, especially if the front wheels are turned so you don’t scuff the inside of the front fenders. Never had an issue going down the road, just pulling into driveways with big drainage dips. Body: · Repainted 10 or so years ago. Looks to have been a solid body. Small and shallow dent on left front fender…someone leaned on it? Light scuff in paint on right rear fender and running board. Hood is not aligned very well with fenders and suffered some paint chipping on edges. Some paint not perfect around rear windows, and they left a little concave area on back of cab. Some other small chips from use, nothing major. New grille and front bumper before I took it in trade, nice rear bumper. · Custom style tailgate is bolted in position (doesn’t open, but probably could). · Cool sun visor. · All glass is good. Windows work. · Needs weather strip replaced on driver’s door. Have it, but needs to be installed. · Driver’s door latch, release is sticky sometimes. Has new components, may need some adjusting or grease. · The bed has a piece of painted diamond plate. From looking at the underside of the truck it looks like they just covered the old wood. The bed wood definitely needs replaced if you want that look. Interior Features: · I-did-it non-tilt steering column. · Phantom white face gauges. · Classic Audio AM/FM in dash cassette. · Original style heater that will bake you out of the cab, works great. · Electric wiper kit. Needs a knob on the switch. · Late model Chevy car steering wheel. · Horn button on lower left dash, along with the electric fan switch. · Full size 2002 style Chevy truck seats. Came out of a Denali so have lumbar and everything…Put on some Avalanches seat covers that I had for years. Sit up nice but kind of big, some S-10 seats might be better. · Cardboard door panels/trim aren’t too good. Carpet is minimal. · New dimmer switch installed. High beams aren’t working so have a new switch to install and may need some re-wiring. Headlamps are standard halogen sealed beams, the plastic flat lens ones shown in the photos looked cool but were not very bright. · Turn signals and dash lamps work as they should. Original cab dome light works. · Fuel gauge is not accurate, does not go up over one fourth full…probably a stuck sending unit from sitting around so long. Looks like a the fuel tank was replaced with a new one when the truck was built. OTHER THINGS YOU MAY WANT TO KNOW: · This truck does not have an HEI distributor, engine sits back and low so I suppose it wouldn’t fit. · This truck is licensed and insured in South Dakota. Has a clear South Dakota title. · The Vehicle ID plate matches the title but appears to be a reproduction tag. · Yes, you can get in and drive it, but no warranties or guarantees of any kind after it leaves my driveway. · I’ve driven it about a thousand miles, usually about 30 miles each time I fire it up. It rides very smoothly. Could use some highway gears or an overdrive. · Gas mileage is about 13 at 70 mph. · I can only store this for up to 30 days. You need to make storage arrangements if you can’t pick it up quickly. I can’t insure it after you buy it so you will need to take care of that too. · When a private party sells you a vehicle in South Dakota, the license plates are removed and you get a “Seller’s Permit” taped on the windshield that is good for 30 days from date of sale. If you commit to buy it, please follow through. The following terms shall pertain to this sale and purchase agreement: Buyer shall deposit $500 U.S. dollars via PayPal to the seller’s account, and this deposit shall be required from the buyer within 48 hours of auction close. Payment in full shall be due within 168 hours of auction close. Final payment shall be by verifiable cashier’s check or cash in U.S. Dollars. Seller shall have the option to re-list or sell the vehicle if the deposit is not received within 48 hours or the payment in full is not received within 168 hours from the auction closure time. Any deposit or payment shall be forfeited by the buyer and no refund issued if full payment is not received within 168 hours from the auction closure time Buyer shall arrange for any and all shipping and storage of the vehicle, and vehicle shall be removed from buyer’s premises within 30 days from close of this auction. Seller shall not have liability for any damage or loss to the vehicle after full payment is made in accordance with the above. Seller may cancel this purchase agreement if the vehicle is damaged before full payment is made. Vehicle is sold with no guarantee and no warranty of any kind. Bidding on the vehicle shall constitute agreement to the above terms.
