1946 Chevrolet PICKUP TRUCK 1946 Chevrolet PICKUP TRUCK, Exterior: Red, Interior: Gray, New rebuilt Chevy 350 bored with matching carb and intake. A 700R4 overdrive tranny. The gas tank is from a 89 Firebird. An Grand National rear with new brakes. New Mustang two front end with disc brakes. Painless wiring harness. A Chevy steering column. Floor shifter. Bucket seats. Griffin radiator. External tranny cooler. The floor was replaced with reinforced steel. New glass all around. Fiberglass fenders. The whole truck was disassembled and sand blasted then etched primed and sealed and painted. I also have the front bumper and rhe tailgate. This is not a show truck but is an excellent driver. We bought this last year from the second owner (a retired US military officer who had the same type truck when new) who completely restored the truck from a bare frame, nearly all original components were retained, blasted to metal then refinished in original colors & rebuilt, or replaced as required. The engine had been replaced in 1993 with a correct L-48/350, this was freshly rebuilt for this restoration to the original 260HP spec. Stock exhaust manifolds ceramic coated with custom all stainless exhaust on back. Front brakes are disc. Full records and photos of the restoration are present. Various records (titles/transfers, service & repair etc.) back to original owner present. Protect-O-Plate, build sheet, original owners manual, dealer delivery documents all present. There is also a shop service manual, and wiring diagram. The truck looks, feels and runs great. Our restored cars are garage kept and rigorously maintained. This has had regular all season use in the past year amounting to about 4000 miles since restored. Just last week it's been prepped for winter with full service, Bridgestone W965 Blizzak light commercial truck, 10 ply studless ice & snow tires, and a 2x6 brace across the bed at the wheel wells that keeps the 300 lbs of sand over the rear axle and makes nice compartments to prevent things sliding around the bed. The Alpine cd - Bluetooth - iphone / smartphone - satellite - HD stereo, and speakers are mounted on custom brackets which use existing fasteners so no holes were drilled for this installation. Original AM radio also works. As right & ready as the truck is, it doesn't accommodate a child seat too well (and not at all legally), can be a lot to handle in the city, and the boys mother is fed up with me using her car too much. I need to make a change. Open to similar quality trade - up, down or sideways value. Of course a cash sale is welcome too.
