Under the hood of this original SS sits a 565 CID Dart Pro M Aluminum big block monster pumping out 900 horse power! The rear is a narrowed 9\" Ford with combination ladder bar and a coil over suspension. In 1967, Chevy II was still the name of the vehicle, but the Nova SS option package replaced all Chevy II badging with Nova SS badging. This original SS has all of the bells and whistles. Some of the quality products used were: Callies crankshaft, Oliver rods, 13.3:1 J%26E pistons, Jessel roller rockers, Moroso vacuum pump, MSD programmable digital 7 ignition system, aluminum Griffin radiator, relocated fuel cell in custom housing, Lemons ceramic coated stepped headers, elephant ears. Much, much more to list! The drive train on this beast is a JW trans TH400 with a JW Steel Stator Stahl converter (3600 RPM). In addition the transmission has a JW ultra bell housing, and trans brake and line lock. No short cuts were taken on this build. The gas tank filler door and cowl vents are shaved. The paint is a beautiful, custom Chevy Indigo Blue with custom pin striping. The stainless steel trim and bumpers are show quality. The engine is fully-studded with ARP fasteners, and also features a remote oil filter system. To keep things clean and organized under the hood, the car features Painless Wiring with 11 circuits, in addition to integrated MSD Digital 6 %26 Pro-Billit distributor. Starting with the body, is an all fiberglass body that has been channeled and sectioned to give it that low and mean look that everybody is after. To insure that the Nova%26acirc;??s body proportions look correct, the top has been chopped as well. The body of the Nova was then covered in a brilliant %26acirc;??Victory Red%26acirc;? base coat with 4 layers of clear coat to the vibrant red. The interior of this bad boy Nova is a combination of gray leather, by Hot %26 Threads, and machined aluminum panels created by the owner. A set of Auto Meter Pro Comp gauges monitor critical functions of this beast. Power windows and remote door locks round out the interior of this bad to the bone Nova. The chassis of this %26acirc;??Venom%26acirc;? built is just as impressive as the rest of the Nova. Starting with a custom tube frame, a Mustang II style suspension %26 steering takes care of the front, while a Quadra-Link suspension takes care of the rear end. Speaking of the rear end, it is custom fabbed 9 inch rear end housing, with a 3.50 ratio gear set. QA1 Coil over shocks are used at 4 corners to keep this rocket planted on the ground. With all go this Venom %26acirc;??67 Nova has, it%26acirc;??s going to need just as must whoa! This is provided by a set Baer disc brakes on all four corners. The final touch that makes this Venom Nova such a beast is the power plant! Starting with a Merlin block of Chevy design, the engine displaces a whopping 555 cubic inches! Stuffed inside the 555 BBC is a set of JE pistons and Comp Cams roller cam. A set AFR aluminum heads keep the fuel and air flowing through this big block engine.
