1987 Chevy Monte Carlo SS-Almost all original, HO 5.0 v/8 85,549 miles, 2004r trans, factory 3:73 gears, original paint/ burgundy interior, Rare power bench seat/column shift, power windows/locks, T-tops, new weather strip, new tires, Original wheels restored, flowmaster mufflers, Alpine stereo system, A/C has been updated to R134. Would drive anywhere." There is a mileage discrepancy" When I purchased the vehicle from Bob Poynter Chevrolet, The car had just over 80,000 miles. On the dealer paperwork for DMV, the 0 on the mileage looked like a 6 so now the title reads 86027. It should have said 80027 but was not caught until later and I just figured I would put the miles on it with no harm. To date the car has 85549 miles on it. It never comes out of the garage in rain and stays inside from early November until mid April to keep the road salt off of itOn Sep-27-14 at 07:05:29 PDT, seller added the following information: When I purchased this car in Feb 2012 I had the dealership put the car up on a lift so I could look all underneath and look for rust and there was none. Floors and frame looked great. Also once in a while when starting up I will see a puff of blue smoke. Not sure if it may need valve guides changed out in the future or maybe just me pumping a little too much gas when I start it. Previous owner after installing new weather strip added some foam weather strip around the T-top area to minimize wind noise. I did notice some light rust under the weather strip in that area but you have to really look for it. Inside the trunk is clean with the bags for the T-tops, original spare and jack, and has an amp installed on the left side and 2 speakers installed in the spot behind the back seat with a nice appearance. The original wheels have been restored and have a smooth powder coat finish that is very easy to wipe and keep clean. The only thing I have found not working is the sprayers for the wipers.
