This auction is for a 1974 Chevy Chevelle Malibu resto-mod. You will not find another one like it. This vehicle is in excellent condition, with modern brakes and suspension and no rust. Chevy 350 engine was rebuilt with a mild street cam a few years ago. The engine was updated this year with a new Edelbrock carburetor with electric choke (engine starts right up, idles great, and runs smooth and strong), finned polished aluminum valve covers, Spectre cold air inlet with K&N filter installed in fenderwell, 100 Amp alternator, high-torque mini starter, new belts and hoses, Taylor wires, and Accel cap/rotor/coil. The transmission is a rebuilt TH-350 with shift kit that shifts excellent. The tires chirp on the 1-2 shift. It has a finned aluminum pan, transmission cooler, and an aftermarket torque converter. The entire brake system was redone within the last year and features a new power booster, complete stainless steel brake line set, a chrome master cylinder and proportioning valve, Wilwood front disc brakes, and rear disc brakes. The car also has all new parking brake cables. The front suspension is completely redone within the last year and features SpeedTech upper and lower control arms and billet tie rod adjusters; Hellwig anti-sway bar; CPP spindles; Bilstein shocks; PST springs, tie rods, center link, idler arm, and polyurethane rag joint. The rear suspension is also completely redone within the last year and features boxed and adjustable trailing arms, PST Springs, Bilstein shocks, Global West rear frame supports, Air Lift spring inserts, and a GM anti-sway bar with Spohn stainless hardware. The rear axle was updated at the same time with welded axle tubes, polyurethane bushings, new axle bearings, 3.42 gears, rebuilt posi unit, and aluminum cover with bearing cap supports. Aeroquip fuel line was used throughout. -6AN nylon covered hose runs from the tank to the mechanical fuel pump. Stainless steel braided hose goes from the pump to filter to carburetor. The interior is in excellent condition. It has a new carpet, package tray, dash cap, and headliner. The seat upholstery and all interior panels are in excellent condition. The stock speedometer, tachometer, fuel level, and water temperature gauges work perfect and a new VDO volt meter and oil pressure gauge match the stock gauges nicely. The Grant steering wheel is brand new as well as the billet turn signal lever, billet window crank handles, Sony CD Player, and Sony speakers. Brand new American Racing Torque-Thrust wheels with BF Goodrich G-Force Sport Comp 2 tires mounted with Billet Specialties lug nuts. 245/45ZR18 front and 255/45ZR18 rear. Amsoil synthetic fluids are used throughout. The 2-1/2" exhaust is new with stainless band clamps, turbo mufflers, and turndowns right before the rear axle. The exterior is in amazing condition. The black paint in incredibly smooth. The frame was painted in Eastwood Chassis Black. This car is reliable and can be driven and enjoyed every day as is, or it can easily handle big-block or LS power to turn it into a serious Pro-Touring car. The heat and defrosters work, as well as all the lights, turn signals, wipers, alarm, etc. This car was featured in the May 2015 issue of Chevy High Performance magazine.
