Starting with an ultra-clean 2-door post coupe and adding plenty of horsepower is a great way to deliver luxury and performance all in one package. And the fact that it looks so subtle, so unassuming, well, that's the best way to prowl the streets. This is one heck of a car! The burgundy paint was freshened in the 1980s and has a very authentic look overall. The sheetmetal underneath is remarkably clean and if you were around in the 1980s, then you remember when these cars were everywhere. Not many survived and even fewer are this nice, with excellent gaps, a hood that fits tightly, and a trunk lid that doesn't need a huge slam to close, all signs of a car that hasn't been neglected or abused. There's just the right amount of gloss in the paint so it can almost pass for original, and the color us subtle enough to not attract too much attention when you're cruising. They were smart and kept it completely stock, so no graphics or other modifications; heck, there's not even a pinstripe! The 2-door post coupe with a steel roof is probably the right car for this kind of transformation, and it's a base model, because there's no hood ornament, no side trim, not even any rocker trim, making it look clean but not too flashy. Yeah, this is how you build a sleeper! The interior is completely original and shockingly clean. Yes, they kept the bench seat, which is all part of the sleeper code of conduct. Familiar red mouse fur upholstery was a GM staple back when this car was built, and the term "full sized comfort" was coined for vehicles just like this. The door panels are sharp, the dash isn't cracked, and even the headliner remains taut and firmly affixed to the roof (they were notorious for drooping). With more than a passing glance, you'll notice the tach on the steering column, and maybe the auxiliary gauges underneath, but for most folks on the street, this car won't raise any eyebrows. The factory gauges are bright and crisp and this is indeed a base model, with manual windows, a factory AM/FM radio, and a column shifter. However, it does have a tilt column, which is kind of a neat find in a car like this. The trunk is neatly finished with a full-sized spare with matching redline radial plus the relocated battery. Under the giant hood you'll find a ZZ383 crate motor, with 383 cubic inches and 425 horsepower on tap. It fits like it was born there, although everyone will know when they see it that this is no stocker. It's got a high-rise intake, a big Holley carburetor, and just about everything you see is brand new. Long-tube headers feed a custom dual exhaust system that's quiet enough to maintain the illusion but barks just the way you'd want it to on the roll. Better yet, it's been painted black to help it disappear. It's backed by a built TH350 3-speed automatic feeding 4.10 gears with Moser 30-spline axles, so there's no denying what this car's mission might be. The entire suspension has been upgraded with fat sway bars and a lot of new parts, and an upgraded Wilwood brake master cylinder handles the stopping. Painted steel wheels with dog dish hubcaps and BFGoodrich redline radials finish the sleeper look perfectly. This is an insanely cool car. It's cool because it's so nicely preserved and it's cool because it's a predator. Complete with a reproduction window sticker and restoration receipts, it definitely won't last very long. If you're even remotely interested in it, don't even finish reading, call now, because these cars never, ever stick around for long. Even nearly 20 years after they were built, these are A-list commodities with a long list of eager new owners. There's no need to cover the legend of the Impala SS here, so I'm just going to get right to it. This is a 2-owner, GA car and is completely stock. It also wears its factory dark gray green paint, which is arguably the most desirable of all Impala SS colors and certainly the rarest. After 18 years is showing some signs of use, but thanks to careful ownership and some long-term storage, it's quite presentable, especially for a car designed to go this fast. The car has never been hit or rusty, and all the special Impala SS-only components are in place, from the grille to the emblems on the C-pillars. The trick Impala SS emblems on the quarters, which were color-matched to the body for a cool effect, perfectly sum up the subtle look of this car. Even the headlights are bright and clear and the taillights show no signs of UV damage or fading, further indications that this car has been treated right. Chevy's gray leather interior was a bit more dressed up than the usual Caprice fare and the stuff wears like iron. The driver's seat shows modest signs of use and there's a bit of wear on the driver's armrest where someone's elbow might rest, but otherwise the interior is remarkably clean and unused. Every single option Chevy offered was standard on the Impala, including A/C (ice cold, by the way), power windows, locks, mirrors and seats, cruise control, and a tilt column with a leather-wrapped wheel. There's room for five in there and nobody will complain about the accommodations. A center console houses the shifter for the 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission, as well as a pair of cup holders big enough to handle a pony keg. Heck, this car is so stock that even the original factory radio still lives in the dash, and quite honestly, it sounds great. The cavernous trunk looks like new and still carries its original space-saver spare, tire cover, and cargo net. GM's 350 cubic inch LT1 V8 powered the Impala SS, and while it wasn't as strong as the Corvette version from which it was derived, it gives this big 4-door the moves of a genuine muscle car. It's also as reliable as a New York City taxi cab and as modification-friendly as Joan Rivers. Fortunately, this one is completely stock, right down to the air filter, and that's exactly how you want them. Never abused or raced, it runs and drives beautifully and still feels exciting after all these years. It starts easily, the transmission shifts properly, and it hammers down the road with the authority that only a big, bad sedan can deliver. Factory alloys look fantastic and wear recent 255/50/17 Kumho radials. Late-model collectables are rare, but the fact that the Impala SS is still trading hands aggressively means that there's a strong following for these cars. As I said, this is one car that won't be here next week, so don't miss your chance and call today! 1995 Chevrolet Impala for Sale 1995 Chevrolet Impala for Sale Stock # 2904-ATL Charlotte Showroom 5400 West WT Harris Blvd Charlotte, NC 28269 Local/International: (704) 598-2130 Toll-Free: (866) 542-8392 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Atlanta Showroom 213 Thornton Rd Lithia Springs, GA 30122 Local/International: (678) 279-1609 Toll-Free: (877) 367-1835 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Dallas/Fort Worth Showroom 5400 Sandshell Dr Fort Worth, TX 76137 Local/International: (817) 764-8000 Toll-Free: (855) 877-2707 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM CST Sat: 9AM - 5PM CST Email: [email protected] Tampa Showroom 4610 Pet Lane Lutz, FL 33559 Local/International: (813) 501-1630 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] TERMS OF SALE Vehicle may be sold by Streetside Classic Cars prior to the end of the auction. Take this 1969 Chevy Impala for example. The great look is accentuated by the oversized wheels that look right, a funky color combination, and is powered by a strong-running small block V8. Full-sized luxury muscle is red hot right now, and nobody does it better than the Impala. The big Imp carries itself well, like a heavyweight prizefighter in formalwear. As a super clean southern car, you can tell how nice this one is at a single glance. You'll be even more impressed to learn that the paint job is about seven years old, and it's holding up quite well. They used the original code 59 Frost Green color, and it's the perfect hue on the late-60s icon. There's a lot of sheetmetal to straighten and it's all in very good shape with only a few dings here and there that are inevitable if you drive your car. Unlike many of its contemporaries, the Impala doesn't carry a lot of excess chrome, so the simple body side moldings show off the arrow-straight bodywork but don't offer a lot of flash, and both bumpers are excellent. The lack of a vinyl top gives it a super sleek look and the car's length is accentuated by the rub strip running along its flanks. And, of course, it just wouldn't be a high-performance Chevy without the engine call-out on the front fender; in this case, it's a '327.' And if you want impressive, check out the interior! Those are the original seats, wrapped in optional vinyl upholstery, and while there's a split in the driver's backrest, it's probably not major enough to require replacement. The carpet and door panels are also original and in good shape, with only minor discoloration that simply comes from age, not neglect or abuse. The headliner might be newer and the dash pad looks great. I kind of like that about original cars that have been so carefully maintained, it's like automotive archaeology to try to figure out what's original and what's new. The instrument panel is massive, offering a wide speedo and clustering all the major controls right in front of the driver, framing everything with a very nice steering wheel with a cool little Impala logo in its center. The original AM radio remains at your fingertips, and it has factory A/C that's still blowing cold with good old R12 refrigerant inside. As you'd expect, the trunk is massive, and has nothing to hide with a solid floor and a full-sized spare. Under about an acre of hood, you'll find a smooth-running, numbers-matching Chevy 327 and a nicely detailed engine bay. Completely stock, including the air cleaner, valve covers, and other frequently replaced items, it almost looks too good. Nah, who am I kidding, this is the kind of car that will draw a crowd with its humble originality, and the engine bay is simply showing off a lifetime of clean living in a warm climate. Heck, even the exhaust manifolds are crisp and pit-free. Of course the big Imp has power steering, but power brakes are oddly absent from the options list, although the binders work just fine out on the road. The transmission is a TH350 3-speed automatic feeding a 10-bolt rear with highway-friendly gears inside. And the 20-inch American Racing wheels with silver centers and staggered 255/35/20 front and 275/40/20 rear performance radials give it a sporty look that fits rather well. If you like your cars big, clean, and a little bit unusual, think of the potential in this ultra-sanitary Impala. As a testament to their enduring popularity, just watch any music video or check out the garage of a pro athlete's home-they're all rolling in vintage Impalas just like this lovely Silver Metallic hardtop. Sporting a strong-running 327, automatic transmission, and an older repaint that looks fantastic, it's next summer's best bet for stylish cruising. Yes, this is a real code 18 Impala sport coupe, and its rarity doesn't come from low production numbers, but rather from the fact that it isn't a fake SS. Instead, it's a clean, authentic, well-finished Impala with 100% of its factory sheetmetal and a clean bill of health, thanks to living in a warm climate most of its life. The paint was done several years ago, and the icy silver paint works rather well on the stylish Imp's bodywork adding a modern touch that accentuates the straight lines. There's absolutely no evidence that this car has ever been damaged, and the body fits together well, with good gaps, neat trim alignment, and a solid feeling going down the road. All the chrome and stainless trim sparkles and even the side trim is remarkably devoid of parking lot dings. Despite the resto-mod first impression, this Impala has a very authentic look and feel once you get up close and personal. Inside, the original-style black cloth and vinyl interior remains in exceptionally good condition. Refreshed at some point, it's a nice blend of original styling and some more up-to-date materials that are more inviting than the originals, without being obvious. Both front and rear seats are in excellent condition, and even the driver's area shows very little wear. Recent carpets are the correct color and weave, and the door panels are neat custom pieces that blend right in. A floor shifter was added to replace the original column shift and there's a tachometer strapped to the steering column to make it look suitably racy. There's no radio, but that means that you can install the system of your choice just in time to go cruising and the cavernous trunk is neatly finished with no signs of major rust issues or past damage. There's a 327 cubic inch V8 under the hood, which was a step up from the basic 283. Nicely preserved and obviously well maintained, it runs like a small block Chevy should, with easy road manners and an awesome V8 soundtrack. It's also nicely detailed, with chrome valve covers, an n Edelbrock air cleaner, and a matching 4-barrel carburetor and intake manifold with an Endura-shine finish. A newer dual reservoir master cylinder and brake booster power a set of front disc brakes and the power steering has been upgraded as well. A big aluminum radiator keeps things nice and cool and there's a fresh alternator in place of the factory generator. The automatic transmission shifts well and feeds the original rear end, and while you're under there, please note that the original floors, frame, and other components are in good order. There's also a new Flowmaster dual exhaust system and it looks positively awesome sitting on those big 17-inch Torque thrusts with low-profile performance radials. This Impala is a timeless resto-mod that's also wonderful to drive. A handsome cruiser that's ready to enjoy at the local cruise night, it represents Chevy's top-of-the-line in terms of style and performance. And thanks to a strong-running 327, it's a genuine pleasure to drive on the street, not just a pretty face. The fastback profile of the big Imp looks fast just sitting still, and in 1967, there was no faster way to transport yourself and four friends than this. Finished in gorgeous code F Marina Blue (which is the car's original color), you can park this car anywhere and use it to navigate it's so brilliant. The crease running along the top of the quarter panels stands out thanks to great attention to detail, and every panel was hand-fitted so that the gaps are quite good all the way around. The two-stage urethane paint has a shine that buffs up nicely even though it's a few years old and has been driven on the street. Up front there's a polished grille, bright chrome bumpers, and traditional Impala 3-element taillights out back. We've sold quite a few Impalas over the years, but the big blue ones seem to be everyone's favorites. And yes, it's a real SS, so it comes by those badges honestly. Like the exterior, the interior is simply a nicely restored stock setup, complete with bucket seats and a center console. All the upholstery is as nice as the bodywork, with original patterns and materials expertly replicated, and only the steering wheel stands out as not as nice as the rest. Beautifully finished instruments show sharp markings and clear lenses, and there's an aftermarket tach and auxiliary gauges under the dash. And it's so correct that even the original AM radio is still in the center of the dash. In back, this big Imp offers full-sized comfort even for rear seat passengers as well as what may very well be one of the largest trunks ever fitted to an American car. It's finished properly with spatter paint and a correct mat, plus a full sized Rally wheel and spare tire. As I said, there's decent horsepower under the hood in the form of a 327 cubic inch small block V8. Equipped with a Edelbrock intake and 4-barrel carb, it makes smooth power, yet is happy to trundle around town without complaint. The engine bay was prepped and painted as well as the exterior, and that lovely 327 was dressed in Chevy Orange with handsome finned valve covers similar to those found on later Z/28s. Things like the air cleaner, accessories and radiator are original-spec, and you'll also note it has power steering and brakes, which are practically mandatory on a car this big. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission is built to take the abuse, and spins a rugged 12-bolt rear, which hangs on a fresh set of shocks. Stock cast iron exhaust manifolds feed a new Flowmaster dual exhaust system, but it's otherwise quite stock underneath. The bright Marina Blue finish is perfectly complemented by the flashy Rally wheels with polished trim rings and sitting on 225/70/15 Goodyear radials. Big Impalas still represent a lot of car for the money, just as they did in the '60s. This one is in exactly the right condition for easy cruising and lots of fun without worries. Better yet, how many with a thumping 427 under the hood? A nice combination of restored and original parts, this matching-numbers big block SS is the ride of choice for the guy who appreciates true luxury muscle. Big and black, this Impala is an imposing sight here in the showroom, never mind barreling down the highway in your rear-view mirror. Wide, long, and low, it delivers that full-sized ride that everyone gets nostalgic over and looks pretty darned good despite casting a shadow the size of a full-sized pickup truck. The bodywork is nice enough to proudly wear that black paint, which is the car's original color. Doors fit well, those giant quarter panels are straight, and the single rub strip that runs along its flanks emphasizes the panel alignment, which is quite good. A white vinyl top is an awesome contrast that ties in nicely with the interior, and it, too, is in good condition and not brittle or yellowing due to age. Bright chrome bumpers and a standard SS grille are subtle reminders that this is still a heavy-hitter, and with triple taillights out back, there's little doubt what kind of car this is as it pulls away from you. Parchment buckets anchor the spacious interior, which is big enough for the whole family to go out cruising. The seats are so nice that I have to believe they've been reupholstered, and the carpets are in such great shape that they can't possibly be 45 years old, but beyond that it's quite possible that this is a very original interior. The door panels remain in good order and the dash pad has a few cracks but plenty of life left in it. A woodgrained steering wheel warms things up a bit and offers an appropriate Chevy vibe that keeps the corporate look. Options include the console with horseshoe shifter (mandatory on any car of this caliber, I'd say), factory A/C, and, of course, the bucket seats. Original gauges are in good working order with well-marked faces and that is, indeed, the original AM radio in the middle of the dash. OF course, a car like this comes with a massive trunk, which carries what might be the original mat and a vintage bias-ply Goodyear spare. You could get a wide range of engines in your Impala in 1969, but the top dog was the L36 427/390 (if we're not counting the L72, which was a well-kept secret). This car carries its original, numbers-matching LI-coded block and while it isn't detailed and shiny, it definitely gets your attention when you lean on the loud pedal. That may very well be factory Chevy Orange paint on the block, and what it lacks in beauty it makes up for with brawn. Linked to a TH400 3-speed automatic and a bulletproof rear end, it's content to just loaf along on the highway or have some fun at the strip. It's original underneath which isn't necessarily a bad thing when you're from a warm climate, and if you want one to drive, this is a great choice. Factory Rally wheels now carry 235/75/15 whitewall radials, just to lull the other guy into thinking this SS is a pushover. Luxury muscle is gaining steam, and if you like the full-sized feel with some real power behind it, this Impala SS delivers in a big way. With clean styling, a ton of luxury features, and potent performance thanks to a wide variety of engines under the hood, Chevrolet created an Impala that could be as unique to each buyer as a custom-tailored suit. This 2-door SS sport coupe (yes it is a real code 14 SS) has been thoughtfully restored and offers an ultra-rare color combination, a 4-speed, and a strong-running small block V8. Finished in correct (and very rare) code 971 Desert Beige over Saddle Tan, this SS stands out among its more common red and white brothers. Covering straight, clean bodywork, the copper-like paint looks awesome with just the right amount of metallic, making it easy to believe it's 1964 all over again. Those long quarter panels are tough to repair if they've been damaged, and given how straight this car is, it's probably never been rusty or hit. General Motors was building high-quality machinery in the '60s, so panel gaps are up to factory standards, and the car fits together very well. The paint was done a few years ago, but still looks good and shines up nicely with no issues hiding underneath. The stainless body trim is excellent, and the bumpers are so nice, they just have to have been recently re-chromed. Up front, the Impala's grille is undamaged, while out back, all six taillights are bright and clear, including the back-up lamps in the center units. Inside, it's a very nicely finished code 862 saddle bucket seat interior with a ton of cool options. The interior is beautifully finished with new seat covers, nice-looking carpets, and proper door panels that highlight the Impala's upscale mission. The console is original and features the SS-exclusive engine-turned trim that matches the dashboard, as well as the highly desirable 4-speed shifter. There's also an original accessory tachometer in its own pod above the steering column and all the gauges are fully functional. The slightly darker instrument panel and beautiful two-tone steering wheel really give this Imp a high class look that makes for a wonderful contrast against its performance credentials. This car also comes equipped with a later AM/FM/cassette radio that sounds decent, as well as seat belts for safety. The giant trunk offers no surprises plus a full mat set and a full-sized spare tire. As far as we can tell, this is the car's original 327 cubic inch V8, which has been rebuilt to mostly stock specs. The heads are high performance pieces from a late-model 350 engine, and up top there's a recently rebuilt 4-barrel carburetor. It has all been dressed to look very authentic in the Imp's engine bay, from the Chevy Orange paint on the block, to the decals on the valve covers, to the vintage air cleaner up top. It even uses original "ram's horn" exhaust manifolds and there are tower clamps on the hoses, as original. It fires up easily and drives beautifully, and is quite likely one of the most reliable and dependable powertrains on the road; you'll be able to enjoy this SS for years without worry. Floors are in excellent condition with no rust or structural issues, again suggesting that this car has always lived in a dry part of the country. Brakes and suspension have been maintained to factory specs, and a recent dual exhaust system gives the engine a deep, powerful voice. Recent 14-inch whitewall radials on original wheels with spinner hubcaps look great and ride well. So if you're tired of looking at clones and look-a-likes, and have been wishing for a real '64 Impala SS sport coupe, look no further and call today! 1964 Chevrolet Impala for Sale 1964 Chevrolet Impala for Sale Stock # 2748-ATL Charlotte Showroom 5400 West WT Harris Blvd Charlotte, NC 28269 Local/International: (704) 598-2130 Toll-Free: (866) 542-8392 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Atlanta Showroom 213 Thornton Rd Lithia Springs, GA 30122 Local/International: (678) 279-1609 Toll-Free: (877) 367-1835 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Dallas/Fort Worth Showroom 5400 Sandshell Dr Fort Worth, TX 76137 Local/International: (817) 764-8000 Toll-Free: (855) 877-2707 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM CST Sat: 9AM - 5PM CST Email: [email protected] TERMS OF SALE 1. 2007 with police package 3.9L, automatic, all power options. Current mileage is 97,XXX and I drive the vehicle so the mileage may increase a little, but will not exceed 98,xxx. New AC condensor, oil change, GA emissions passed as on July. *Air bag service light is on ($90 diagnose and reset fee at Chevy dealer)*Tire pressure monitoring service light is on ( service included in the above fee)* Paint has blemishes *chipping around door and some discoloration on the rear bumper (local paint shop will repaint the whole car $400, it would be less if the blemishes are painted only) Car was driven from NY to GA 7/15/2015 and emissions test was passed 7/28/2015 with the above warning lights. They are on, but do not impact vehicle performance. Outside of the above the car is mechanically sound and can run for another 150K+ miles. Regarding the paint, if you like your car to shine and look good when driving slowly through your neighborhood or at a stop light you will be ok with the paint conditions. If you want the pristine car show ready paint then you would want to get this car painted at your earliest convenience. This car is ready to commute back and forth to work or gas up for another road trip. Please contact me if you have any questions.

This 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS was special when it was new, but it has only been in the fullness of time that we've learned just how special. As the last rear-wheel-drive, body on frame sedan built by GM, it does hold a place of distinction. But add in a Corvette-sourced LT1 under the hood, an athletic suspension, and that distinctive monochromatic paint job, and you have a slam-dunk of a collector car that STILL sells for sticker price 20 years after it went out of production. Special? You'd better believe it. It's probably safe to assume that the guys who bought these cars new realized that they were buying a piece of history. As a result, cars like this 51,335-mile 1996 example are often beautifully preserved. This Black Cherry example is 100% original, with no accidents or panel replacements, and the finish is amazingly well preserved. Credit the car's wonderful condition to clean living with an owner who never used it as a daily driver. Black Cherry is arguably the most desirable Impala SS color and aside from a few signs of age that could be erased with a proper buff, it's in awesome shape. Heck, there are barely any marks on the nose, which often takes a brunt of the abuse. Even the blacked-out grille is in great shape, the chin spoiler doesn't show many scuffs from driveway aprons, and all the Impala emblems are factory original. Impressive. The only interior available with the Impala was gray leather with buckets and a console. This one shows only minor signs of use, certainly in line with the mileage, and the leather remains supple and smooth. The back seat still looks brand new, and if there have been more than a handful of passengers back there over the past 20 years, it would be a surprise. The gauges are 100% functional, and it even retains the original Delco AM/FM/CD stereo. The carpets show a little discoloration, but again, nothing that seems out of line for its age and mileage and it would be a mistake to do anything but give them a good cleaning. Of course, everything was included with the SS such as A/C, power windows and locks, and cruise control. And as the last of the full-sized sedans, the trunk is positively massive, still carrying its original spare and an unmarked liner. Power comes from GM's indestructible 5.7 liter LT1 V8, which makes 260 horsepower in the Impala. Mated to a 4-speed automatic, it's the same powertrain that struck fear into the hearts of motorists living inside black and white police cruisers. Properly maintained from new, the engine bay looks fresh off the showroom floor, and drives like it should. And unlike many Impalas, this one has not been modified in any way, right down to the air intake and exhaust system, which were easy targets if you wanted a little more punch from your Imp. The unmodified condition also suggests that this one has been gently driven and never abused, and it drives like a much younger car. 4-wheel discs were included, as well as a heavy-duty suspension, giving the Impala moves that belie its size and comfort. Four 255/50/17 BFGoodrich radials have been fitted to the gorgeous 5-spoke alloys, making this car ready to rock immediately. The Impala SS is a rare machine, not just in terms of production, but in that it is a car that instantly created and destroyed a niche market, defined an entire market segment, and signaled the end of an era. That alone ensures collectability, but the fact that it is also a party to drive makes this one to own for yourself. With a half-dozen V8 engines, a dizzying array of performance-enhancing options, and styling that still turns heads today, the 1963 Impala delivers. This one is remarkably stock and retains the timeless character that makes these cars such popular collector's items today. Silver Blue was an original color on the '63 Impala, and it never goes out of style. On this car, it looks to be an older repaint that was done well, and it's always refreshing to see a period Impala hardtop that hasn't been dressed up like a fake SS. The cool, clean paint also emphasizes the Impala's length, and someone spent the time to get the bodywork right, so it looks extremely trim and sleek, especially with the contrasting white top. It's a few years old, so it's not perfect, but the impact is there and everyone will notice this big Imp pulling into the parking lot. The chrome and bright pieces remain in place, and have been nicely polished to bring out the car's shape and both the front and rear bumpers are new. Out back, the Impala's traditional six-taillight arrangement remains, set into a silver panel that looks great against the silvery blue paint. It also wears the right badges on the quarters, including IMPALA block letters in the white rub strip that's a cool, yet subtle, touch. The look is elegant, but carries enough performance to make them fair warning to potential competitors. Like the exterior, the upholstery is very nicely done in the original style, with patterned blue cloth and vinyl stitched into the correct factory patterns. Generous bench seats make this a true 6-passenger cruiser, and the workmanship on the interior is first-rate. The dash features a wide instrument panel that's dominated by the speedometer, with a lower panel with bright trim and all the auxiliary controls. The seats show very little wear, the carpets are excellent, and the highly ornamental door panels have to be seen to be truly appreciated. The only possible demerits are some light cracking in the dash pad and a missing fan switch knob, but those are pretty small nits to pick. It does have a later AM/FM stereo radio in the dash and factory A/C which is a fantastic find in a vintage Imp. Also be sure to have a look in the trunk where you'll find a very clean cargo hold with a full-sized spare tire up on its own little shelf. Power comes from a 327 cubic inch V8 that's been dressed in Chevy Orange so it looks period-correct. In addition to the aforementioned A/C system, this one also carries power steering and power brakes, making it as easy to drive in traffic as your modern iron. It's completely stock, so it's smooth and torquey thanks to a Rochester 4-barrel carburetor and factory manifolds. Even the air cleaner is vintage 1963. Underneath, there's a recent Flowmaster dual exhaust system, which snakes through the chassis to maximize ground clearance, and you'll be impressed by the clean original condition of the chassis itself. A column-shifted automatic transmission feeds the original rear end, and again, it's all pretty much the way the factory intended so it rides and handles quite well. Classic factory Rally wheels wear 235/70/15 BFGoodrich T/A radials that seem to emphasize the Impala's sporty stance. Look at the condition and presentation on this car, then take another look at the price. This is one heck of a lot of car for the money. How about this sleek 1966 Impala hardtop, which offers a 283 cubic inch V8 linked to a 3-speed manual transmission? Still one of the best-looking designs of the mid-60s, the big Imp delivers a grown-up muscle car experience that's just a little different from all the Camaros and Chevelles out there. The color is Barrier Blue, which looks fantastic on the big Impala coupe. Thanks to some pretty serious time and effort, it looks fantastic with an understated elegance that belies the performance car living within. Good gaps and smooth quarter panels (which are among the largest ever created) make it look like it should cost thousands more than it does. The original color was code E Danube Blue, so the color change wasn't as big a challenge as you'd think and coverage is uniform thanks to a full disassembly for paint. Coming from North Carolina certainly helps and this 66,579-mile car wears all its original sheetmetal, which is always reassuring. Reproduction emblems look crisp and sharp against the blue paint and both the bumpers have been re-chromed to really make it sparkle. 1966 saw the Caprice replace the Impala as Chevy's top-of-the-line, but the Impala never lost the triple-taillights that were a styling feature from the very beginning. The attractive bench seat interior is almost all new, including seat covers from CARS, along with new carpets and a taut headliner overhead. There's just enough brightwork inside to remind you that this is a high-end Chevy, and the ornate steering wheel combines popular features from previous years to give it a unique look. The linear instrument panel covers only the basics, with a wide speedo and a fuel gauge on the end, with the auxiliary controls in a bright band of trim just underneath. It's always cool to see a clutch pedal in a full-sized luxury car, and with traditional 3-on-the-tree shifting, this heavy-duty cruiser is a lot lighter on its feet than you'd expect. The factory AM radio remains in the dash, suggesting that the builder had a dedication to getting it right, and all the weather seals are new so it seals up well and feels like a much younger car. And given all that sheetmetal, it shouldn't be a surprise that the trunk is massive, and even with a full-sized spare tire, there's room for, well, just about everything. The engine is a 283 cubic inch Turbo Fire V8, which was a step up from the six and delivers the kind of reliable V8 torque that you'd expect. Recently and correctly detailed, it runs smoothly enough to pass muster in this luxury liner and looks ready for show. Chevy Orange paint, a correct air cleaner, and none of the usual modifications are more proof that the restorer cared about getting this one right. Correct GM hoses, clamps, and belts are the little things that make an engine compartment sparkle, and a recent tune-up and battery ensure that it continues to run right. The aforementioned 3-speed manual transmission is a rare find in a car like this, and is backed by a 10-bolt rear end supported by recent shock absorbers. A new dual exhaust system gives it a polite burble that's exactly right, and ultra-rare Chevrolet accessory wheel covers add a sporty look, especially when paired with those 7.75-14 redline tires. Documented with the original title, delivery paperwork, Protect-O-Plate and warranty book, and an accessory brochure, this is a car with no hidden secrets. This incredible ragtop is beautifully restored and highly correct, offering everything an investor would want and everything a hobbyist can love. Painted brilliant code 923 Rio Red, this big ragtop definitely has the right look. In 1958, the guy who ordered this car new seemed to understand that there was just no point in going subtle, not with all that chrome and the tri-tone interior. And when it was restored, they spent extra time to get it right, because this is a car that attracts a lot of attention. There's a lot to absorb on the '58 Impala, but even if you look closely, you'll see that every detail is razor sharp, from the unique fins to the cool jet-like outlets on the lower quarter panel. Gaps are exemplary and the doors close with ease, the trunk lines up just right, and the giant hood lines up neatly with the grille surround. And speaking of the grille, the massive chrome bill on this car delivered spectacular results, as all the jewelry is in excellent condition. All the wonderful details that make the '58 Impala so special are here, and all of it got the restorer's touch before it was bolted into place. This car is simply off-the-charts nice. I mentioned the tri-tone interior and it has also been expertly restored to as-new condition. New seat covers, fresh carpets, and gorgeous door panels with red anodized inserts accurately re-create the factory look and this is one of those cars that you can drive every day for a month and not notice all the details. Check out the two-tone steering wheel, the neatly accented floor mats, and accessory tissue dispenser under the dash. The gauges are in excellent condition, with a wide speedometer up top and auxiliary gauges in the bright metal dash panel below. There's also a factory AM radio, which is the only component on this entire car that's not functional. Overhead there's a power convertible top that seals this big ragtop up without effort and it comes with a red boot for warm weather. And thanks to the continental kit out back, the trunk is positively massive and is finished with a correct mat and jack assembly. The biggest engine you could get in 1958 was a 348 cubic inch V8, and the top performer was the tri-power version like this, featuring three 2-barrel carburetors. The uniquely shaped valve covers make it easy to spot in the engine bay and the trio of carburetors hides neatly under a large, round air cleaner. Chevy Orange paint and correct hardware, fasteners, and fittings make it look very correct. It still generates electricity with a generator and it's fitted with a reproduction Delco tar top battery, so they obviously cared about making it look right as well as run properly. Remarkably, this big luxury cruiser is fitted with a 3-speed manual transmission, which makes it a great performer with that muscular V8 under the hood. It also sounds great with that dual exhaust system with glasspack-style mufflers offering a classic '50s soundtrack. Beautifully detailed chassis components, shiny red floors, and all-new hardware make this a car you can drive and show with confidence. And those gorgeous 15-inch chrome wire wheels make a high-impact car even more appealing and carry proper 7.50-14 Firestone wide whites. Cars restored to this level are obviously quite rare, and when they're the iconic 1958 Chevrolet Impala convertible, it all adds up to a blue-chip, #1 investment car that's a joy to drive. The last of the rear-wheel-drive Impalas were genuine cult cars the day they hit the showrooms, and today they've achieved what only a select minority of cars can claim: they were NEVER just used cars and have ALWAYS been worth at least as much as their original sticker price. The only other car to pull that off recently is the Ford GT supercar and maybe the Enzo Ferrari. This lovely Dark Cherry Impala SS is a very nicely preserved specimen that comes from the collection of a passionate owner (don't they all?) and shows an astounding 9985 original miles! Clearly treated to a life of privilege, the sleek 4-door sedan looks every bit as good now as it did more than 15 years ago when it hit the showrooms, and perhaps even better thanks to a decade of hand washing, polishing, buffing, and waxing. The Dark Cherry was one of three colors available in '96, and arguably the most attractive. It definitely gives the big Imp a Q-ship rating, because nobody's going to see this one coming until it's too late, even with those giant 17-inch alloys. Fortunately, everything on this one is neatly preserved and in excellent condition, from the urethane bumpers to the slick body-colored "Impala SS" badges that subtly adorn the flanks. This sucker is NICE! Inside, the Impala got a nice upgrade over the standard Caprice in the form of gray leather buckets and a center console. Apparently, GM was using some high-grade leather back then, because it wears like iron and in this car, it has been carefully maintained and shows only the most minor comfort marks on the driver's chair. All the gauges are fully functional, and the Impala came only one way: loaded. A/C, cruise control, power windows and locks, and a powerful stereo were standard equipment, and it all works like new. In addition, this one sports dual power seats, automatic headlights, and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, which were part of the Preferred Equipment Group. The original carpets are the only part that might give away the car's age, but they have been protected with a set of matching gray mats. Pop the trunk and you'll find commodious storage that looks factory-fresh, complete with original spare tire and cargo net. The Imp's real claim to fame was a Corvette-derived LT1 V8, a version of which was also shared with taxi cabs and police cruisers, so it's powerful as well as virtually indestructible. And as a small-block Chevy, it's so easy to modify that finding an all-stock example like this is almost unheard-of. From the air filter to the exhaust system, this Imp is totally original, and that either means it's just waiting for you to get busy with the upgrades or take it to the show and blow them away with its preservation. Either way, the LT1 barks to life easily, idles smoothly, and it pulls like a freight train. The 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission is smooth and always seems to be ready to leap into action, and the suspension is an ideal combination of ride and handling thanks to expensive DeCarbon shocks that were original equipment. Iconic 5-spoke wheels were a big part of the Impala's look, and wear 255/50/17 Kumho radials that were installed only because the original BFGs were old, not worn out. The last of the rear-wheel-drive American performance sedans has no equal, and like when they were new, this incredible survivor won't be around for long. With perfect specimens trading hands for well over sticker price, they're one of the most stable Chevrolet investments you can make. And if you're just looking for a clean one to drive and enjoy, you won't do better than this clean, unmodified, 48k actual mile 1996 example. Wearing its factory black paint, you can see how straight this Imp really is. Original sheetmetal, straight doors, and very little road rash all contribute to this car's incredible preservation. Having spent its life in the warm, dry southern US, it's very clean underneath with the factory paint now showing some modest signs of living in the sun, which is probably inevitable. From the blacked-out grille to the unique quarter windows, to the body-color 'Impala SS' badges on the quarters, all the unique Impala features remain in place, giving it the same imposing, sinister look it had when it was new. And even though it's coming up on 20 years old, it looks quite presentable overall; not perfect, but offering a heck of a bargain at this price. The tinted windows add to the serious look and it's impossible to mistake these big cruisers for anything else on the road. When they styled this one, they got it exactly right. Gray leather was your only choice in an Impala SS, and like the exterior, the upholstery in this one is nicely preserved showing careful use, but no issues. The leather on the driver's seat remains supple with a few "comfort marks" but no split seams or damage, and everything works as it should. The carpets are original so they're showing their age, but replacements are cheap and easy to install. The SS offers a full array of instruments, but somehow the instrument panel's lens has gotten cloudy, so it should either be polished or replaced, something that'll remove years of age from the car's appearance. The back seat looks almost completely unused, with cavernous legroom and cool embroidered Impala SS emblems on the seat backs. And, as a full-sized American rear-wheel-drive sedan, you know the trunk is positively cavernous, offering correct mouse fur mats, a cargo net, and a spare tire with its own cover. The Corvette-derived LT1 V8 under the hood is one of GM's best powerplants, and this one shows just 48,930 original miles so it runs like new and will probably continue to do so for quite some time. Making 260 horsepower in Impala guise, the big car moves like a machine half its size. With meticulous maintenance by just two owners, you can buy this one with confidence, too, and know that it is mechanically excellent. The engine bay is exceptionally clean given the car's age and mileage, with factory-style equipment used throughout; there are no questionable aftermarket mods. The 4-speed 4L60E transmission shifts like it should, and it rumbles through a dual exhaust system that is neither too loud nor luxury car quiet. Most remarkably, this car has not been modified in any way, which is not only easy, but extremely popular with Impala SS enthusiasts. 4-wheel disc brakes are powerful and live behind some of the most beautiful factory-issued alloys ever made, which show no curb rash and wear relatively recent 255/50/17 performance radials. If you've been looking for an SS to drive or to serve as the foundation for a custom build, this is an awesome choice at a great price.
