Dressed up in bright trim, flashy paint jobs, and with that dramatic cantilevered roof and gullwing tailfins, there was simply nothing else like it on the road, then or now. With a few smart upgrades, there's no doubt that this first El Camino is destined for great things. Chevy's styling was all-new in 1959, and they didn't hold back, even on their first foray into personal-sized pickups. Available with any color combination, this one looks '50s spectacular in Roman Red with Snowcrest White on the side trim to highlight the car's most dramatic styling features. Painted several years ago, it still looks good with a wonderful period-perfect shine, great panel fit, and super straight bodywork, this one will unquestionably be a hit everywhere it goes. El Caminos received Bel Air trim, including the side strip with white insert, and 'El Camino' script on the front fenders where 'Bel Air' would ordinarily live. The massive wrap-around rear window is unique to this model and is in excellent shape (fortunately), and the bed features a spray-on bedliner so it's still happy to work on weekends. Trim, chrome, and stainless all shows in great shape, and even the rubber bumper tips are excellent. Experts will note that the interior is also done to Bel Air specifications, with two-tone red and black upholstery on the bench seat, plush black carpets, and color-matched door panels, but nobody is going to complain after they see how awesome it looks in person. The instruments are all laid out ahead of the driver, each gauge living in its own round pod, with the auxiliary gauges flanking a large centrally-mounted speedo, and all the markings are sharp and crisp and a set of auxiliary gauges hang underneath. The original AM radio lives in the center of the dash, although it's been supplanted by an AM/FM/CD stereo head unit with a separate amplifier powering speakers throughout the interior. There's also a neatly installed A/C system with vents under the dash and new components under the hood. Sitting behind the wheel, it is easy to forget you have a full pickup bed behind you that's capable of hauling more than a half-ton of gear. The engine is a 350 cubic inch V8, but thanks to the ubiquity of the small block Chevy, it slid under the hood of the Elky without issues. It's got a chrome air cleaner and matching valve covers as well as Chevy Orange on the block, so there's no disputing what it is. There's also a high-output alternator, factory-style A/C hardware, power steering and power disc brakes, and long-tube headers dumping into a new dual exhaust system. The transmission is a TH350 3-speed automatic and the stock rear end still hangs on its original coil springs, making this one of the best-riding pickups you'll ever drive. It runs and drives extremely well and the upgraded powerplant moves the classic El Camino with effortless ease that not even the top 348 could manage in 1959. Polished American Racing wheels add a sporty look and are wrapped in recent white-letter radials. Rare, beautiful, and still quite practical, the 1959 El Camino is an American icon with a devoted following that continues to this day. Sure, we all love their unbeatable combination of performance and practicality, but to take one to this level, give it a wicked stance and a bright red paint job, well, that's something you don't see all that often and certainly not at this price. This car attracts a ton of attention, and suspecting that would be the case, the guys who built it spent a ton of extra time on the details. This isn't your average, run-of-the-mill beater Elky, this one was a super-clean original car that was taken to the next level by guys who seemed to really care about their work. Gaps are excellent, and the two-stage urethane paint is about a mile deep, even up close. Look closely and you'll appreciate the traditional appearance upgrades like the cowl induction hood and hard-shell tonneau cover and the stainless trim that outlines the fender arches looks fantastic. Nice chrome bumpers, a stock grille, and tinted windows blend stock and modified seamlessly and the bed is protected by a heavy-duty rubber mat, so don't be afraid to use it as intended. It's still pretty stock inside, where a clean factory style Saddle Tan interior is the ideal complement to the fabulous red bodywork. That's the original bench, now wearing two-tone seat covers that are a twist on the original setup. The factory dash was retained, including the stock instruments, but there's a full array of auxiliary gauges stashed underneath. Those are probably the original door panels, but the carpets are newer and protected by a set of heavy-duty rubber mats. Entertainment comes courtesy of a Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo head unit, and you'll note that this is a factory A/C car, whose system blows cold thanks to an R134a refrigerant upgrade. A 350 cubic inch Chevy crate motor is the right choice, since it bolts right in and makes big power without a lot of fuss. Nicely dressed with chrome valve covers and a matching air cleaner, it's a great way to bring everything up to date. It isn't over done and it's obvious that the focus was on functionality, but nobody will complain after they take a drive. One look underneath will convince you that this has always been a clean truck, and the 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission is brand new. A new dual exhaust system gives it a great voice, recent air shocks out back allow it to still haul anything you can throw at it, and the lowered stance looks right. 15-inch steel wheels with spinners are fitted with 215/70/15 Yokohama radials that fill the wheel arches nicely. You won't find a cooler El Camino anywhere, and you need a dose of practicality with your V8-powered weekend toy, they don't come much more useful or stylish than this. 1968 El Camino, early model crate engine 350 w/ 2 speed Powerglide transmission.  The car cranks right up, it does have a little miss in it at idle, but runs good and strong.  It seems to be geared pretty low as I turn about 3000 rpms at 60 mph. The car shifts quick and gets on out there.  The car is driver quality, looks good but is not perfect.  I just had the seat recovered and windows tinted and new heater core installed.  The bed is rhino lined.     The car had a battery leak at one point eating into the frame.  Structurally it had no effect on the car as it was infront of the frontend in between frontend and bumper.  I had it repaired and you can see it in picture painted black, the rest of the underside of the car appears to in good shape as seen in pictures.  From back of driver door to rear of car has scratches as seen in pics.  There is yellow road marking paint splashed on lower drivers side, this yellow paint will and does come off but will take some work in doing so.  Chrome and satin are in pretty good shape over all, it is missing the two side emblems.  Above the doors in the drip line there are small rust bubbles as seen in pic.  The car is in pretty good shape and would make a great driver, I just try to list everything I see wrong so there are no surprises after purchased.    The car is located in Fort Worth, Texas and will need to be picked up there, if you are having the car shipped I can drop it off at your shipper in the Fort Worth area.  All shipping charges and fees will be buyers responsibility. Car is for sale locally also.   Please email any questions.  Thanks.

With pickup trucks selling in record numbers, maybe the automotive buying public would appreciate a utility vehicle with the performance and comfort of a car and the utility of a truck. It worked in 1964, giving the mid-sized Chevelle a blue collar stable mate, and went on to sell successfully for more than two decades. With a recent repaint in black and orange and the big blower hanging out of the hood, it's hard to miss this El Camino, but you'll be struck by just how right it looks. There isn't an awkward line anywhere on the car, and the grafting of the pickup bed onto the Chevelle's front clip is seamless, a testament to the stylists at GM. The paint and bodywork remain in good condition throughout, with decent panel gaps and straight sheetmetal that has apparently never been rusty. The paint is two-stage urethane, so it'll be easy to maintain and the cool airbrushed Harley Davidson graphics on the bed sides give it a unique identity that looks familiar (even though today's H-D trucks are from the Blue Oval). The bed has obviously seen some use, but then what's the point of having a truck if you can't put it to work now and again? I guarantee you'll be the only one at the Home Depot with one of these carrying your supplies. Thanks to its Chevelle DNA, the El Camino benefits from the myriad of interior choices available to Chevelle restorers, including the two-tone bucket seats found in this Elky. A subtle contrast to the bright paint, the interior is so pretty you're almost afraid to sit in it. Using two-tone L.L. Bean leather and a factory look surely help maintain the upscale feel, but a few smart upgrades help make this a car that can be driven daily. The dark tan door panels look great and the orange accents and black dash pad carry the exterior look into the cabin. The carpets are a little dingy and might be the first thing to need attention, but you'll be pleased with how much room the bucket seats create. A four-spoke steering wheel works with the B&M shifter on the transmission tunnel to make it feel racy and there's a pair of auxiliary gauges under the dash. Familiar can also describe the powertrain, which is comprised of a 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 topped by a Weiand supercharger. Although it wasn't intended to look stock, it does have an awesome look with the big Demon carb and air cleaner sticking through the hood. Chevy Orange paint and polished aluminum valve covers look right and it's equipped with power steering and brakes so it's still easy to handle on the street. It's a great runner, properly tuned to run with boost, and with a huge aluminum radiator up front, the blown engine never makes you sweat in traffic. It's backed by a sturdy TH400 3-speed automatic transmission and the original 10-bolt rear end, which is plenty given the lightweight bodywork. The underside is pretty original so it's not show-quality, but it looks as if this truck has lived someplace warm most of its life. The long-tube headers and dual exhaust sound great and classic chrome Torque Thrust wheels and 205/70/15 Goodyear radials are the right choice for a traditional look. With all the goodness of a Chevelle and the practicality of a truck, perhaps it's time to revisit the El Camino. Better yet, take this supercharged Harley Davidson tribute home instead. It's still a car willing to work, but at the same time, you can show up at the local cruise night and everyone will agree that it's a very cool muscle car. It just might be the ultimate dual-purpose hobby car. The charcoal gray paint gives this El Camino a subtle look, but there's no denying the muscle that lives underneath. It's led an easy life because the sheetmetal is in great shape with no signs that it was ever a work truck. The gray paint is probably two-stage urethane, so it's durable and easy to maintain, and if you really want to make this car pop, a professional wet sand and buff will pay big dividends. It was finished about six years and less than 1000 miles ago, so there are a few very minor marks but overall this car makes a great first impression that stands up to a closer look. The chrome and stainless trim in particular is in excellent condition, especially the trim around the bed, which always gets beat up when folks use the El Camino as trucks. And speaking of the bed, it has been finished with a spray-in bed liner that's not only durable but very professionally done with few signs of use since it was completed. It's really hard not to like this car. The black interior features a bench seat and a beautifully finished instrument panel that uses contrasting blue paint to make it stand out. The seat covers are virtually new with zero wear, and most of the other soft parts were replaced at the same time, including the carpets, door panels, and dash pad. The three-spoke steering wheel and bright metal on the dash makes the El Camino feel upscale from behind the wheel, and the dash offers a comprehensive array of gauges that all have crisp markings and clear lenses. Factory A/C is a great find in a car like this, as is the tilt steering column. A modern AM/FM/CD stereo system with speakers stashed behind the seat really fills the compact cabin with sound and heavy-duty floor mats mean that you don't have to worry too much if you actually do take this one to the hardware store on the weekend. The engine is a 327 cubic inch V8 with a casting number that decodes to a correct 1966-1968 small block engine. Equipped with a GM intake and Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, it's a very strong runner with a lot of enthusiasm. Fully rebuilt, it starts easily and pulls the relatively lightweight Elky around with ease. Detailing is quite good with Chevy Orange paint, a bit of chrome, and fresh components throughout, including a new alternator and master cylinder. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission feeds the original 10-bolt rear end, which we believe has 3.42 gears inside, a nice compromise between performance and comfort. A recent Flowmaster dual exhaust system sounds awesome and fresh air shocks out back help fine tune the ride, even with a load in the bed, which is really what this El Camino does best. Chrome Torque thrust wheels give it a racy demeanor and are wrapped in big 225/70/15 blackwall tires for an industrial look. This is one of the best running and driving El Caminos we've featured in a long time, and at this price, it's impossible to go wrong. Styling was a high-water mark for the 1971 A-bodies and many find them to be the most attractive of all. With a recent restoration that looks and drives extremely well, this El Camino belongs at the top of your shopping list if you're looking for inexpensive, practical fun. Looking extremely handsome in basic black with bright red SS stripes, this El Camino was repainted not too long ago and it's holding up very well. Thanks to limited use and great care by a hobbyist, its working days are probably over, so shining up the paint on a Saturday afternoon is routine. Panel gaps are pretty good considering that this is half truck, and the cowl induction hood gives it an aggressive look. Red SS stripes were added, along with appropriate SS badges in all the correct locations, completing the transformation. All the chrome and stainless, including the trim around the pickup bed, is in very good condition with few signs of hard labor behind it. A blacked-out SS grille up front looks correct and is in excellent condition. And just in case you do have a few errands to run, the bed was coated with a spray-in bed liner that looks great and really cleans things up in the cargo bay. The black interior is as nice as the body, with a pair of late-model buckets and plenty of legroom up front. Accurate door panels and new black carpets and headliner were installed at the same time and give the interior a sporty vibe; from behind the wheel, you can't tell it's not a Chevelle. The dash is original, with functional gauges and a beautiful dash pad, and in the spirit of performance, there's a column-mounted tach and auxiliary gauges underneath, just ahead of the 4-speed Hurst shifter with cue ball knob. It's also got ice cold Vintage Air A/C, a powerful AM/FM/CD stereo system, and a small console between the seats so it's great for long highway trips. The steering wheel is a handsome wood-rimmed piece that fits well in the vintage passenger compartment, giving it an upscale look. The engine is a stout 396 cubic inch V8, fully dressed for duty in the El Camino. With chrome valve covers, factory open-element air cleaner, and original style exhaust manifolds, it could easily pass for an OEM installation. However, under the air cleaner lives an Edelbrock 454 Performance Package that includes an upgraded cam and intake manifold, all fed by an MSD fuel injection system. A full 3-inch X-pipe exhaust system with MagnaFlow mufflers gives it a fantastic big block bark, and the slick-shifting Richmond 4-speed doesn't mind the occasional hard shift in the heat of combat. A heavy-duty 12-bolt rear end doesn't mind the horsepower one bit and the brakes were recently overhauled and new shocks were fitted at all four corners. It rolls on a set of handsome 15-inch Rally wheels wearing 235/60/15 front and 255/60/15 rear BFGoodrich T/A radials. Look at the photos again, then the price. This is a clean, solid El Camino with big block power and a great paint job. For a fun, big block muscle car with enough practicality to work for a living, you could hardly do better than this great-looking '71 El Camino. This 1972 El Camino is like a Chevelle with a bed, and it's great news for muscle car fans because it puts you behind the wheel of one of GM's great machines with a trunk that'll carry anything you can buy at Home Depot. With so many of these being work trucks when they were new, finding a clean, straight, unabused example like this is no easy task. It wears recently-applied bright red paint that looks great, especially when combined with black SS stripes on a cowl-induction hood. The work was finished not too long ago, and you definitely won't need to make excuses at the next cruise night where everyone will be digging the fantastic look. Those massive rear quarters are not so easy to get lined up and flat, so you know someone really cared about this Elky while it was being resurrected. SS badges suggest more performance than utility is under this truck's skin and the blacked-out grille and no-nonsense bodywork make a great point about no-frills performance. Note that the bed has nicely been finished and carries a drop-in bedliner that fits well and means you can carry just about anything without worrying about banging it up. The bench seat makes the El Camino practical enough to carry three passengers, just like any truck, but it's beautifully dressed in a fresh black seat cover. Nicely detailed, the dash is nicely presented with original gauges, and a familiar GM steering wheel adds a sporty feel that makes you forget you're driving a truck. This one comes complete with an under-dash A/C system, but that's about it for creature comforts, because this is even a radio delete car! The door panels are standard black, but I like the vent windows, which do a fine job of funneling air into the passenger compartment and they're sorely missed on today's cars. In addition, the headliner, carpet, dash pad, and window weather stripping are all new, so it feels like a new car inside with a notable lack of squeaks and rattles. The engine is a rebuilt 350 taken from a later model, and fitted with standard hot-rod parts like a 4-barrel carburetor and a set of block-hugging exhaust headers. Dress-up is limited to a chrome open-element air cleaner, but it runs well and pulls the relatively lightweight Elky around with a great V8 burble. Chevy Orange paint makes it easy to identify and there are plenty of signs of proper maintenance, not the least of which is how well it runs. A TH350 3-speed automatic shuttles horsepower back to a 10-bolt rear with 3.08 gears inside, making this powertrain about as reliable as they come. The chassis is solid, the floors are clean, and the glasspack-style exhaust system sounds great. It's cool to see the Chevelle's coil springs under a pickup truck, but they endow the El Camino with wonderful road manners and a pleasant ride, and all the upgrades available for Chevelles are virtual bolt-ons. Finally, a set of classic Rally wheels wears a set of staggered 215/65/15 front and 255/60/15 performance radials. Old or young, El Caminos are just plain cool. Performance, style, comfort and plenty of practicality make them as popular today as when they were new. EXTERIOR COLOR: ODOMETER READING: 8267 INTERIOR COLOR : VEHICLE FEATURES & OPTIONS AM Radio, Heat, Vinyl Interior, Seatbelts SELLER REMARKS This 1967 El Camino is one of those cars that brings a smile to everyone's face. Perhaps the El Camino's time has passed, but it represents one of the last truly new ideas in the automotive kingdom. A practical utility vehicle based on one of the most potent muscle cars of the era, complete with a matching-numbers big block and a 4-speed? Where do I sign up? This particular Elky sports a coat of Madeira Maroon paint, giving it an elegant look that perfectly contrasts with its sporty attitude. It's very straight overall, suggesting that this trucklet never had to work for a living, and there are virtually zero waves in those giant panels that comprise the bed sides. There are a few signs of use, and you really shouldn't be afraid to put this Elky to work now and then, it won't mind. With that in mind, the bed was given a spray-on bedliner that's both durable and practical, and fortunately the guys doing the work did an exemplary job of masking off the shiny bits, so it look crisp and fresh. You'll also note that the chrome and trim is bright and clean, proper badges have been reinstalled, and the overall look is very stock, without so much as a fake SS badge to be seen anywhere. From behind the wheel, you could easily imagine that you're at the helm of a big block Chevelle SS, because it offers bucket seats, a console, and a 4-speed stick right in the middle. The upholstery is older but correct, using factory style patterns and materials, and while it relegates the El Camino to a 2-seater, I don't think anyone will complain. The carpets, door panels, and dash trim are indeed replacements and look awesome. The wide instrument panel and 3-spoke steering wheel are pure GM performance in the '60s, and a set of auxiliary gauges have been added under the dash and complement the factory clock in the console. It's not too heavy on options, with the original owner instead focusing on performance, but there's a factory AM radio in the dash, although its inoperative status means this truck is ripe for an upgrade. There's also a modest storage area behind the seats and heavy-duty floor mats to protect the carpets. The engine is the original, numbers-matching L35 396 cubic inch V8 that has been well-dressed for duty in the El Camino's engine bay. Rebuilt about 350 miles ago, it's fresh and ready to rock, although with the lightweight bed out back, putting the power down is going to always be a challenge. Satin black inner fenders are a great background for the Chevy Orange engine which is further dressed up with chrome valve covers and a chrome air cleaner with reproduction decals. Power upgrades include an upgraded camshaft whose idle sounds awesome, and a set of long-tube headers dumping into a Flowmaster dual exhaust system. You'll also note a big radiator, heavy-duty cooling fan, and all-new hoses, belts, plugs, and wires. A 4-speed manual gearbox spins a set of 4.11 gears in the 12-bolt rear, suggesting that this Elky was built for combat, not service. It's quite clean underneath and sits just right on proper Rally wheels and staggered 225/60/15 front and 245/60/15 rear blackwall radials. In terms of clean, fun cruisers that are also immensely practical, this El Camino is an excellent choice. And with a big block, 4-speed, and matching-numbers, it could also be considered a smart investment. Now bear with me for a moment, but you can already see where I'm going with this. One, it has the same great looks as a Chevelle but with that bed, it can still carry anything you can throw at it: bikes, camping gear, skis, and even 2x4s for that new deck. Two, it packs a fresh 427 cubic inch V8 that makes all the right muscle car sounds with performance to match. And three, it costs a lot less than a comparable Chevelle would. How's that for a slam-dunk? The bright red paint simply looks amazing on any late-60s Chevy, and thanks to the ministrations of some talented guys this one looks ready to collect some trophies. Clean sheetmetal makes it look easy, but there's a good-sized investment in the gorgeous two-stage urethane finish, which also incorporates black stripes on the hood, roof, and tailgate, which, while not totally authentic, looks spectacular. Those long quarter panels are laser straight and haven't been bashed from the inside by years of hard work and experts will note that the side marker lights out back have been shaved for a smooth look. Just a glance in the bed will reveal that it's either been completely restored or this was a really nice Elky to begin with (or both). A blacked-out SS grille in great condition, bright chrome bumpers, and correct badges where needed give it a handsome look that will always attract attention at the local cruise night. Like its Chevelle siblings, the interior of the El Camino is a great place to spend some time. The black bench seat wears a recent cover that looks great and with red piping, it perfectly matches the bodywork. New carpets and door panels help give it a fresh look that's tasteful but clearly better than stock. The vent windows are a great part of the car's charm, with the ability to keep things breezy and cool, but if it does get too hot, it does have a powerful A/C system and power windows. An AM/FM/iPod stereo system has been stuffed into the original dash and powers a set of cleverly-mounted 6x9 speakers behind the seat. Dakota Digital supplied a full array of gauges that fit neatly in the original pods and a space-saver spare has been stashed behind the seats as well, just in case. Someone was clearly thinking carefully when this El Camino went together. Traditional horsepower comes from a freshly rebuilt 427 cubic inch V8 that's been built just for service in this El Camino. An Edelbrock carb and matching intake manage the fuel and for the most part they kept it fairly stock-looking under the hood, which means it's a strong runner that'll stay that way for years to come. A few chrome dress-up parts add a little flash, and there's a big aluminum radiator keeping everything cool. What that means is that you're cleared to take it for a drive without worries about the vitals. In addition to the modern A/C, there's power steering and brakes, so this truck is as easy to drive as any Chevelle. A TH400 3-speed automatic transmission and a 12-bolt rear make for a reliable powertrain, and handsome Torque Thrusts with 235/60/15 BFGoodrich T/A radials look great. Packing big horsepower, awesome bodywork, and a very comfortable interior, this is the El Camino that will be a joy to drive anytime and useful when you need it. No, this 1971 El Camino is a beautifully finished and severely potent resto-mod that keeps a pretty stock look and backs it up with a thundering 454 cubic inch big block that more than delivers on the promises made by the SS badging and stripes. You want the nicest El Camino we've seen? This might just be it. Finished less than 900 miles ago, this car is just stunning in person. The show-quality paint is absolutely jaw-dropping in person, the Silver Mint Metallic was expertly laid on the sheetmetal creating a finish that's absolutely stunning. For many, these later cars with their single headlight front ends are the most appealing, and this one carries all the right pieces to make it look great, including a cowl induction hood and a vinyl top for a bit of formality. Paint and bodywork are fantastic, with great gaps, super straight surfaces, and a deep gloss that goes beyond anything GM was doing on the assembly line. The stripes are painted on and we can't find a single mark on the car, even in the bed, which is covered with a more durable finish. Excellent chrome and stainless trim looks better than new and aggressive details like the hood pins and SS454 emblems suggest that these guys knew what they were building when this car went together. The all-new black ultra-leather interior is beautifully finished with a slight custom look thanks to upgraded gauges and a custom seat. The upholstery has a unique pattern and a cut-out between the seats for a trick B&M shifter, but there's also plenty of stretch out room for both passengers thanks to a lot of adjustability. New carpets, fresh door panels, and a taut headliner make it look brand new and the door hardware is factory stuff so it looks right. The gauges are by Auto Meter and fit into a custom panel that replaces the factory dials, but the dash pad is stock. The tilt steering column is topped by a trick aftermarket wheel that looks vaguely like a '57 Chevy's wheel but it works just fine here as well. There is no radio, but once you hear the cackle of that big block, you won't miss it a bit. There's a fully upholstered storage are behind the seats, so your gear doesn't necessarily have to wait out back. The freshly built 454 cubic inch V8 is beautifully finished. There are plenty of factory-like design cues, but the finned valve covers, Edelbrock intake manifold, a Crower cam, and 750 Holley carb suggest it was built for combat, not show duty. Lots of chrome and aluminum dress up make it worth taking your time while looking around and it's fully sorted with a functioning cowl induction setup and a giant radiator up front. It's backed by a freshly rebuilt TH400 3-speed automatic transmission feeding a 12-bolt rear end with 4.10 gears, 30-spline Moser axles, and an Auburn limited slip inside. Long-tube headers and a custom dual exhaust system give it plenty of attitude at idle and full roar and it doesn't have any problem hooking up all that power thanks to a set of trick ladder bars out back. 17-inch Torque Thrust wheels fit perfectly and carry big 225/50/17 front and 275/50/17 rear performance radials. Extremely well built and engineered to run, this show-stopping El Camino is a no-disappointments car available for a fraction of the build cost. Don't hesitate, because this one definitely won't last.
