Finding a Corvette you can drive and enjoy is sometimes easier said than done. So many have been cut, hacked, or just abused that finding a tight, clean, unmolested C3 with no needs can be daunting. But this Mille Miglia Red \'71 Stingray is the right car at the right price, offering a lot of originality in a package that\'s just right for driving. Repainted a few years ago, this \'Vette shows only minor signs of being driven, which means that someone was absolutely fanatical about maintenance, because Corvettes are made to be driven. The bodywork was nicely done, not so perfect you\'re afraid to touch it, but nice enough to get a second or third envious glance from the guy in the Honda next to you at the red light. Gaps are good all around, and if you prefer the chrome bumpers, the \'71s are a great choice. Factory T-tops are the next best thing to a convertible you\'re going to find, and they\'re a great choice if you\'re the kind of guy who likes to take his Corvette on long road trips because you won\'t arrive at your destination feeling like you just went five rounds with Mike Tyson. There are a few touch-ups here and there, which are perfectly OK on a car that is being used as intended, and this one offers bright paint and enough bright trim to get noticed. And speaking of chrome, everything is nicely finished and polished, including the side pipes, which transform any Corvette into an intimidating street predator. The black interior appears to be largely original and shows a nice, authentic patina that should make traditional Corvette fans smile. The seat covers offer textured inserts that are both grippy and comfortable if you\'re cruising in the sun, and the center console puts most of the secondary controls at your fingertips. The original gauges look remarkably crisp and bright, showing off what you got in 1971 if you were lucky enough to take a car like this home. A newer AM/FM/cassette stereo has been fitted, but otherwise the controls are 100% factory, including the 4-speed manual transmission, which makes a big difference in the driving experience. 1971 was also the final year for the cool fiber-optic light monitoring system in the center console. There\'s decent storage space behind the seats, again showing lots of originality that should be preserved rather than erased with new pieces. The original and strong-running 350 cubic inch engine is a great choice if affordability, reliability, and great handling are on your wish list. Chevy Orange paint was applied to the block while it out of the car and it uses a stock-style chrome air cleaner with twin snorkels on the intake side. The engine bay is pretty darned clean, suggesting that this car has led a good life in a dry climate, and while this car isn\'t heavily optioned, it does have a lot of authenticity, including the chrome ignition shield. Cast iron \"ram\'s horn\" exhaust manifolds are both durable and efficient, and feed those glorious side pipes that give this Corvette that fat sound that\'s been intimidating other cars since the \'60s. Power steering, power brakes, and what appear to be a fresh set of shocks give it pleasant road manners that are good for either around-town driving or a cross-country jaunt. Factory Rally wheels with fat 235/70/15 BFGoodrich radials fill the fenders perfectly, making this car look fast just sitting still. Every once in a while, a spectacular car lands in our showroom and everyone sits up and takes notice. This gorgeous 1965 Corvette carries its original, numbers-matching 327, a 4-speed, air conditioning, and a gorgeous leather interior. An extremely high-quality car, this Rally Red coupe is the mid-year Corvette to own if you appreciate the virtues of a lightweight small-block\'s handling. Corvette restorers know that getting a mid-year Corvette to look right is a balancing act. They have to be nice to compete at high levels, but they can\'t be too perfect, so they are among the most challenging cars to restore properly. This one has super straight fiberglass, great panel gaps, and superb fit and finish, but it\'s more like it\'s brand new rather than over-restored (you Corvette guys know exactly what I\'m talking about). The Rally Red paint is in great condition and totally nails the performance look that we\'ve all been dreaming of since we were kids drawing cars in study hall. With sharp details, correct badges, and that fantastic Stingray profile, this is arguably the best looking car to come out of GM styling studios in the 1960s. In addition, the chrome is excellent, the badges are beautifully rendered, and bumpers were refinished just a few months ago, so they look crisp and bright. The code 402 black leather bucket seat interior is a wonderful contrast to the red bodywork, and presents in outstanding condition with restored components throughout. Sure, it was originally black \"standard\" vinyl, but if you\'re going to restore a car like this, why not add a factory-correct upgrade? The soft, inviting seats have been fully restored using exact reproduction seat covers, the door panels have been finished to match, and brand new carpets were installed in 2013. The dash pad hugs the dual cockpit dashboard more tightly than when new with gauges that appear to be very nice originals, suggesting a car that has always been cherished. And yes, the mileage of 69,826 is believed to be authentic. There is, of course, a 4-speed manual transmission, the right choice for your Corvette if you love to drive, and it\'s housed in the original center console, which was standard equipment. This car also includes a rather rare AM/FM radio, which was cutting-edge tech in 1965. The original, numbers-matching 327 under the hood snarls through the dual exhaust pipes some kind of caged animal. With prodigious torque, it\'s the ideal companion for cruising, with the ability to humble some pretty serious machinery in the stop light grand prix. Details under the hood include Chevy Orange paint on the engine itself, the original chrome ignition shield and air cleaner, and correct finned valve covers with Corvette script. A Vintage Air Gen V A/C system was recently installed and uses R134a refrigerant. Underneath, it\'s sanitary for a car that gets driven, there\'s a new reproduction exhaust system, and 1965 is a great year to own because standard 4-wheel discs arrived on the Corvette. Beautiful knock-off alloys wear correctly sized 215/70/15 redline radials for a correct look with a modern feel. Blue chip investments don\'t get much better than a matching-numbers mid-year Corvette that you can actually use and enjoy without guilt. Call today! Few cars capture the spirit of the muscle car hobby quite like cars like this 1971 Chevrolet Corvette. With a storied V8, a beautiful color combination, and a convertible top...it\'s a great buy! If you\'re looking for a great place to park your money then take a look at this low mileage, NCRS documented Stingray. Red is certainly one of the best looking and best selling colors on a Corvette, and this one wears its correct Mille Miglia Red finish very well. Walking around this car, it\'s obvious it has lived a very pampered, and well maintained life. The bright work shines and the traditional vette crossed flag badges still present vivid colors. The fiberglass panels line up evenly and show smooth surfaces. When you need protection from the elements, a white vinyl top folds up, and fits snug all around. With the top up or down, this car has a classic and muscular look that sits on clean rallye wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich Radial T/A rubber. When the selection box for the red vinyl interior was checked on this Stingray, it was certainly the right choice. The great looking interior you\'re greeted by when you open the doors on this Corvette is just plain cool and fun! The bucket seats wear the vinyl covers tightly. The door panels are also covered in red and so is the crack-free dash. That dash holds clear gauges, including the center gauge pod that hosts a clock, fuel, water temperature, oil pressure and amperage gauges. The three spoke steering wheel adds a nice contrast that tops a tilt steering column. Other amenities include power windows, an AM/FM radio, air conditioning, heat, and defrost. Tilt the hood forward and cradled in the clean engine bay is the original 350 cubic inch V8 that twists out a solid 270 horsepower. Everything remains stock, but the carburetor was rebuilt two years ago so you can be sure this engine runs well. Mated to that V8 is 4-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the factory rear end. Components also remain stock underneath with power disc brakes all around supplemented by power steering. With fresh hardware throughout, this car is ready to provide its new owner with many more miles of great sunny day cruises. It doesn\'t get much better than a clean and original Corvette that sports less than 31K miles for an addition to any collection. Add in the NCRS documentation, and a reproduction window sticker that also comes with the car, and you have a Corvette that is poised to be a great investment. This is an opportunity you don\'t want to miss. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Charlotte showroom. For more information, please call (704) 598-2130 or toll free (866) 542-8392.
