For sale is a 2000 C5 Chevrolet Corvette. The car has minor scratches and paint chips due to everyday driving from original owner, otherwise, it is great condition. It has a modified exhaust system (sounds really good!), but due to mounting I'm unable to identify the manufacturer. I'm selling it because I do not have the time anymore to enjoy owning a Corvette. FOR SALE Like New 1973/2015 Corvette Stingray Resto-Mod Powered by a New ZZ 454 Fuel Injected Big Block, dyno'ed 525 hp @ 5200 rpm Black on Black Leather, A/C, PS, PB, PW, Tilt & Telescoping Steering Not your average Corvette Stingray Professionally built by Bill Dehimer, owner of Full Throttle Performance, Rome, Ny. Bill, found this slick 73 while visiting sunny Florida, about 3 yrs. ago. It was a solid, rust free car that fit perfectly in his plans to Resto-Mod (restore-modern) a classic Vette for himself. His plan was to retain the classic look, but dramatically improve it's reliability, performance, & handling. An all new, fuel injected big block, mated to a new high performance 200-4R automatic overdrive trans was the plan. Cruise 70 mph all day at lower rpm's with less engine wear & improved fuel mileage. To insure a quality build, Bill stripped the car down to the frame, the rear end housing & the body. The restoration started by installing a new wiring harness. Then every nut, bolt and screw used and the parts they mounted were new. A certified mechanic with over 40 yrs. experience, Bill spent most of his spare time, the last 2 1/2 yrs, restoring every detail of the car. During the restoration, the latest technology was used everywhere possible and still retain the original classic styling. Some of the upgrades over original equipment are the engine, trans, front & rear suspension, exhaust system, brakes, steering, shocks, wheels & tires, seats, insulation, lighting & A/C components. This car has all the amenities like Power R&P steering, Power 4w disc brakes, Power windows, removable solid T-Tops & removable rear glass. (rare) All systems of the car have been gone thru. Any part that couldn't be restored to new condition, was replaced Besides the cost of the car, and the high end paint & body work,.............. another 25K in new parts were installed. This professional restoration took approximately 500 hours. The average builders rate is $60 - $100 hr As you can see there's easily another 30-50k in labor here. For more info, contact Ken 6624291108 Interior The Interior was completely stripped and redone starting with a new wiring harness, dynamat insulation, new carpets, door panels, dash, storage boxes, steering wheel, console, shifter, heat & a/c controls, interior lights & switches, seats, door handles, door locks, weather stripping, windshield, emblems & badges, all vacuum hoses, new vintage looking stereo & speakers. All factory gauges professionally restored. Clock was changed to trans. temp gauge. Tach was change to electronic type, steering column was also sent out to be professionally restored. All new, the interior is nothing short of immaculate. The attention to detail is stunning. Engine Compartment Spotless is the word to describe under the hood where again, everything has been replaced with the latest high tech components. The foundation of the engine is a brand new, GMPP crate ZZ454, 4 bolt main, rotating assembly. Dart Pro I Aluminum heads, Comp Cams hydraulic roller valve train, custom serpentine acc. drive. 525 HP. Holley High Performance Multiport Electronic Fuel Injection, Ceramic coated long tube headers, new 2 1/2" MagnaFlow dual exhaust system with stainless tips. All components under the hood are new, from the radiator, to the firewall, including the hood itself, the wiper motor, a/c system, latches, hinges, alternator, compressor, you name it. Underside Front & rear suspension is all new, including sway control, VBP power rack and pinion steering kit. Hydroboost power brake system. Rear suspension has new van steel offset trailing arms to make room for the wider 285x18 rear tires. Rear spring is upgraded with a new VBP fiberglass unit. Bill says the new electronic tach has a switch on it to set it to 8 cylinder, 6 or 4, I couldn't locate it by feeling for it. The tach works, but isn't showing the correct rpm.
