Great opportunity for the first generation shoe box Chevelle enthusiasts. 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport. Real 138 code SS. Built in the Fremont, CA. plant. Partially restored over a decade ago. Lifetime California car until purchased and shipped to Illinois in late 2007. Underwent a complete, extensive mechanical and interior restoration in 2008. Built into a modified street machine. Everything in the drivetrain is new. The complete interior is new. Basically, everything was redone except the exterior. The paint was done sometime in the early 2000’s. Paint is still in excellent shape. This beauty is fast, dependable enough to cruise anywhere, and even show worthy. 383 Cu. In. stroker engine custom built by AR Racing Engines in Virginia. Tremec TKO 600 five speed transmission. Twelve bolt rear differential. 2,468 miles on the complete rebuild. As stated, everything was restored in 2008, with the exception of the paint. Completely refinished in the early 2000’s, so it is approximately 10-12 years old. Paint is still in extremely good condition, still has mirror gloss shine. There are four minor flaws in the finish, three of which are small driving chips that can be remedied with a brush of touch up paint. The fourth is a small crack and blister on the hood. These minor flaws are clearly shown in photos. Dual sport mirrors. Rear antenna. Grille is in excellent condition. Bumpers, door handles, emblems, and remaining chrome are all in very good condition. All stainless trim is in very good shape. Due to all new suspension, the ride height is nice and level. Fit and gapping on all the panels is very good. 17” five spoke alloy wheels in excellent condition. Ventus Sport directional radial tires on the front, P225/45ZR17. Nitto Drag Radials on the rear, P225/45R17 on the rear. As only a few thousand miles have been logged since, the interior appears as new. Both front and rear seats were removed and completely disassembled. All springs and framework were repaired. All new cushions. New OEM style seat covers. Headliner is new, as well as interior light. New package tray. Carpet and sill plates are new. All cranks, handles, and interior trim are new. New door panels. New dash pad. New woodgrain three spoke steering wheel with Bowtie horn button. Full set of GM seat belts. Custom spun aluminum dash panel with speedometer, odometer, tachometer, fuel, volts, water temperature, and oil pressure gauges. The Chevelle was born from the factory with an automatic transmission. Please review the restoration photos of the conversion from automatic to five speed. OEM style clutch pedal and components were installed. A new tunnel was fabricated for the console and five speed shifter. This is not some hack job, as is common with poor restorations. The old tunnel was cut out and a complete new one was fabricated, using specifications from the transmission manufacturer. Console, Hurst shifter, and transmission fit perfectly. Holley 750 CFM four barrel carburetor mounted on an Edelbrock Air Gap intake manifold. Air Research aluminum heads. Comp Cams custom grind hydraulic flat tappet cam (.600 lift) and lifters. Eagle forged crank. Eagle I beam rods. Forged pistons. 10:1 compression. Delco HEI ignition. Hedman Headers connected to custom fabricated dual three inch exhaust. Exhaust fits snuggly in the undercarriage, no clearance problems. Flowmaster mufflers. Aluminum radiator. Ram clutch. Tremec TKO 600 five speed transmission. Hurst shifter. Rebuilt GM twelve bolt rear differential with 3.73 gears and Posi-Traction. This is a UNRESTORED ORGINAL 1969 CHEVELLE!! This is an all original 1 owner 1969 Chevrolet Malibu Hard Top. The car was purchased in May 1969 from Pine Belt Chevrolet in Lakwood, New Jersey. The car is black with white interior. It also has the factory removed landau top. It is a 2 door hard top with power steering and manual brakes. This car has never been restored and never been taken apart. Everything is original except the battery tray, which was purchased from Original Parts Group. Included with the sale is the original metal plaque warranty book, original order form from dealership, the salesmens notes from 1969 and the owners manual.(see pictures) The car has all original interior with a couple of small tears in the seats, a small crack in the dash, the headliner is split and coming down and the package tray has been removed. The car was originally undercoated in 1969 straight from the dealership. The floors,frame, doors, rocker panels, fire wall inner fenders, hood and trunk are solid. With the exception of one small hole in the trunk. The car does have some rust. The lower front fenders, the lower rear quarter panels, rear wheel wells, and around the rear window. ( see pictures) All the glass in the car is in great shape as well as 90% of the trim pieces on the car. Bumpers are in GREAT shape as well as the grill and tail piece. The car was last on the road in 1994 and was stored outside until 2006. It has been stored in a garage from Dec. 2006 til now. The car last ran in spring of 2012. The doors open and close with no sag. Truck and hood open and close perfectly. The windows go up and down. The passenger rear window needs a little help going up. This would be a perfect 1 owner all original car, with paper work, to restore or make a project this spring. I was going to restore the car myself , but unfortunately , I will be unable to. The car does roll and steer. Brakes are not working. The car does have snow tires on the rear , but does come with 2 more rims and tires with the sale. The original spare and jack also included.
