This is a rust free car that has been professionally rotisserie restored up to this point at a cost of over $70K. The reserve is much less than te total investment...somebody is going to get a great deal on this Chevelle. The Chassis is completely restored, new disc brakes and suspension. Brand new GM performance ZZ 454 440hp, munci 4spd, 12bolt rear. The body has been restored with the best new body panels available and done correctly. This car is listed as a "1970 SS Chevelle Convertible clone ". By this I mean it is not a real SS or Super Sport. It is also a 2 door hardtop that was professionally converted to a convertible with all the correct convertible parts in our shop: woottonsredlineclassiccars. The only way to tell that it started life as a hardtop is by the vin#...You can not tell looking at the car. The car has all the original Chevelle #'s on it including the vin and cowl tag. The Chassis is an original GM A body convertible chassis. The car is currently registered in Connecticut as a 1970 Chevelle & all papererwork will transfer to any state. We specialize in converting Hardtop Chevelles, Camaros & 55 56 & 57 Chevys to convertibles. We also do Mustang coupe to fastback conversions. This build started with a very low mileage, (55K) rust free Super Sport Chevy 2. The car has a $10K custom metal flake paint job. It has a BZ Rodz complete gasser front tube chassis, (the best money can buy) not a cheap speedway axle conversion. It has a vega steering box and chevy disc brakes, new skinny 3.5 inch Crager SS wheels & repro tires. Chassis was $5,000.Sold as a roller, no engine or transmission. I have the matching painted hood, new bumpers, new grill, headlamp bezels and some other trim. All glass is in the car. The dash is in the car and in excellent condition. I have front bucket seats for it that should be re upholstered.The car is set up for a big block or small block with 4 speed. I have many engines and transmissions available if wanted at an xtra cost to buyer. It has 93K miles and appears to have had one repaint in its original color, Adobe Beige. The car runs and drives like new. The interior is in very good condition but needs a headliner. The body and undercarriage are very solid with only a few minor issues. The paint looks great from 10 feet away but upon closer inspection shows signs of it's age. You can use this car as it is or it would be a perfect candidate for a V8 4spd swap.I drive the car often on nice days and have never had any issues.
