Tailgate sill and door jambs are also solid as seen in pics. Spoked hubcaps are in good shape - one has some curb rash. INTERIOR: Interior of the car is in very good shape. Dash has no cracks. Cloth seating areas are in very nice shape. Carpet in seating area is very nice. Carpet in cargo area has a couple small stains. Headliner has a few small tears as seen in pics. Nice interior overall. Note that the blue basket on the front floorboard is Velocro'd in place, not screwed - easy to remove if you don't like it. ELECTRICAL STUFF: All inspection items work (lights, horn, wipers, etc.) The power antenna doesn't work but all other power options work reliably, including power windows, power locks, dual power seats, hot heat and cold A/C, tilt, cruise, am/fm stereo cassette, rear window release, rear wiper, intermittent wipers, and rear defroster. Beautiful American Classic that Runs, drives & stops excellent. Numbers matchting inline "Blue Fire" six cylinder engine w/ rebuilt Rochester carburetor (gets "good" gas mileage). "Three on the tree" smooth manual transmission. Lots of new parts in drive train, runs fantastic, needs no engine work. Great looking and newer two-tone gloss Emerald metalic green w/ Pearl white roof (see pictures). Rare OEM "ball cap" sun visor & "police special" spot light & siren horn. Professionally lowered ride w/ de-arched reversed eyed leaf springs & 3" blocks in the back. Body straight, no rust or bondo (door alignment still a little off). Wide "78s" white wall tires on 15" black steeliness w/ period correct Fiesta hubcaps. New carpet, trim & interior. Seats rebuilt & wrapped in "Ol'school white vinyl. Chrome in good shape w/ smaller trim pieces left off for that shaved cruiser look (most pieces are included just need to install). All orig glass less rear passenger windows. Dash gauges all there but only odometer and speedo "work". After market Pioneer CD/stereo w/ 6X9 rear speakers and 50's oldies CD included. The wife and I are classic car fans & this beautiful Chevy is her baby so you know it is clean and safe. We love and really enjoy cruising around in this car. 1969 Chevrolet Custom/10 shortbed pickup. Bought last fall locally in Charleston area as an investment. Intention was to "rat rod" it by lowering and clear coating then sell. Business partner in deal had to move away and he's the mechanical guy so I'm selling it and moving on. Has a 3 speed with a 350 short block. Short block may have been bored over (feels powerful). Has an aluminum Edelbrock Intake Manifold. I went ahead and put the wheels and tires on (almost no mileage). They are KMC 673 Skitch (20 X 8.5) wheels with General G-Max 255/45R20 tires. Body has rust but only a small rust spot on driver door in the cab itself. Patch panels and full replacements are cheap and easy to obtain if you want to fully restore. My father, who bought this car brand new in 1994, has fallen ill with heart conditions and a stroke. This was his baby, but we need money for medical expenses and on-going care - not to mention that he hasn't driven it much at all over the past decade or so - it has 67,500 original miles on it as it sits in my garage. It has lived in a South Carolina garage under a cover for all of its life. The car is Polo Green over tan leather with the 300 HP LT-1 and a proper six speed manual transmission. This is a low-option car (tape deck, manual seats). However, the A/C, power windows, cruise control all work as you'd expect. In order to freshen it up out of storage, I replaced the gasoline, cleaned the injectors, replaced the oil and filter, fuel filter, air filter, ignition wires, spark plugs, serpentine belt, and flushed the cooling system. Those last parts were done by Jamison's Corvette here in Charleston who gave it a clean bill of health - except he told me I need to "drive it more". I've driven it to work a few times and it runs clean, low, and fast. It gets complements wherever it goes, the paint is flawless for a 20 year old sports car and the color is fairly rare on any car, except some Jaguars. This is one of the last of the C4 Corvettes, and I'd challenge you to find a cleaner "driver" (that is, not cars that were put in bubbles for shows and storage). While the next generation (C5's) had better balance and sophistication, this generation is like a hair-metal power chord - the vehicular equivalent of Guns-N-Roses or pre-sellout Metallica. She is long, low, and loud. You look over a giant expanse of a hood and you snick through the gears with a purely mechanical gusto. No namby-pampy paddle shifters here. According to the magazines, it should run a 1/4 mile under 14 seconds - and I believe it. It feels just as fast as my BMW 335i, and faster than the last (2009) Mustang GT I have driven. You'll never mistake this for some fail-wheel-drive Accord, Jetta, Sonata, or Camry, though - when you turn off the traction control and 300 ft-lbs of torque breaks those fat rear tires loose, you feel it - because you are sitting right next to them. Clean, South Carolina title in hand, along with the original window sticker, bill or sale and every oil change and tire rotation it has ever had since 1994. Included in the price are four brand new meaty 315 ZR-17 BF Goodrich Comp T/A (fit the rear only) tires that he got as factory "Blems" from Michelin where he worked for 40 years. $9,995 or best legitimate cash offer - email or call/text eight four three, five sixty-six, thirty-six twenty-five.
