This car was purchased from the original owner in 1994 with approximately 40,000 miles on it. The car has a well-known local history. The original owner purchased the car in March 1973. This car has never spent a night not inside a garage and has never been driven in the rain. The car still has its original factory paint job, never been restored or repainted, with the original paint showning very well. The fiberglass hood was made custom for this car in 1975. The original hood, with the original paint, is the same condition as the rest of the car and is included in the sale. The original owner informed us that he had to blend the top of the fenders with lacquer because he waxed through the corner in the early 80s. The trunk lid had some issues shortly after purchase in 1973 that required a minor touch up. You will notice at the front of the car, on the nose "RB77". That was the signiture of the pin stripper, Rick Brown, 1977. The car was purchased in 1994 and driven to a few shows. A few years later, the car was moved into storage in California. in 2008, the car was brought out of storage and over the next several years , a GM ZZ571 620HP motor was installed, along with current wheels and tires. Front springs and adjustable shocks replaced the stock units. The car has new suspension componets and body mounts. A complete 4 wheel alignment was preformed in July 2016. You will notice the original paint, glass and interior on this car, It could not have been in an accident. The condition of the vehicle speaks to the amazing well-kept history of the car. Custom 1969 Protouring Camaro. The goals of this build was to build the world's best 69 camaro, and make it drive and handle like a late model viper or corvette. We exceeded those goals over a two year process. As you can see, this car is literally one of the best Camaro's in the world. You won't find another 69 Camaro with these details. No-where. It had 100's of little one-off details that make it the best. Chip Foose saw it at Sema and loved the car so much he drew a rendition of it on the air-cleaner and signed the car. He said some elements of the engineering was the best he's seen. Here is a bit about the car. This car is a brand new car. This is not a 40 year old car. We did start with a $15,000 1969 donor car. That's pretty much where 1969 ends. It was gutted and everything except the body thrown away. The body was taken to metal and a new frame hand built. Plenty of build pics available of the build i can send that prove the takedown to metal and rebuild. Every car component was purchased new and is either protouring or hotrod. There are no stock 69 parts on this car other than bare metal of the body. Every single detail of this car is personalized and custom and that wasn't cheap.
