I bought this car to help a friend. He bought this car after he lost some of his classic cars to a fire,he took the interior out had it painted same colors got it home, stuff happen to him he's was 74 at the time, he put it in his garage and been there since 08 bought it about two months ago had the seat redone new rug New headliner put in. it looks good it a real head turner you don't see colors like this any more. It has new leaf springs on the back ,new coils with new shocks on front, the driver door has a couple of paint chips in the corner the old man said it has 58,000 mile on it I believe it by the way it drives it has a 265 v8 run like a clock I change oil, antifreeze, top radiator hose, heater hoses it looks great under the car. When you shut the doors you hardly touch them they close better than my new car. radio works,clock doesn't. here is the bad, gas tank leaks when you fill it up, half and below it fine, went under to look at it, it look like it could be the sending unit gasket, the good I have a brand new tank to go with it.the bad the heater controls up down are broke it still puts out great heat.The bad is, some body work over left rear wheel not much the body shop did a great job. The bad, the tranny like to pop out of park, but the emergency work great I have park it on hills and it don't move I have driven it a bout 300 miles and it drive great,looks great just look at the pics, all and all a great ride looks great for 60 years old It has new chrome head light rings ,New blinker lights,New bird on hood ,New Chevy emblem on front hood and trunk, new Chevy emblems on sides, New wiper arms and blades, New oem rug in the trunk .If you have any question feel free to ask I will answer to best of what i know about the car. It is powered by a 350, 4 bolt main block with flat top pistons and 461 Corvette fuely heads, Crane H 270 camshaft, Acel ignition , cooling with Aluminum radiator that keeps tis motor real cool . Polished air gap intake and a 750 Edelbrock Carb. Power goes into a NASCAR style Richmond 4 - speed transmission with Hurst Shifter . Stainless polished mufflers, Disc brakes , Interior is flawless with beautiful black and white custom stitch that shows the true quality of this car . It has a wonderful sounding sterio system that is remote controlled, to keep that stock look in the dash . It has a beautiful 1959 Impala steering wheel ,The Garnish molding around the windshield and all windows has all been Chrome plated , all door rubbers and window trim has been replaced, Glove box door and ash trey and Heater control panel, have been Show Quality Chrome plated. For Sale: 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air 4 Door Sedan. Solid car but needs needs work. The Frame, body mounts, floor and floor supports are all solid. The body is very good except there is a few places that do have filler. The amount of filler is minimal. The trunk floor has some rust at the part of the trunk towards the rear pan. This section is available for purchase and cost approximately $79.00 new. It is 10" deep and the width of the trunk. It has the original 265 CI engine but I have been unable to get it to roll, I feel anyone who wants to take the time could get the engine freed, so they could keep the original engine in the car. It has the original 2 speed Powerglide transmission that appears to be in working order. Also, included with the sale of the car is the original rims and hubcaps. At some point it had a new paint job but is not high quality in my opinion.
