As we enter a new chapter in our lives, "Retirement", we will be selling some of our pride and joys. Saying good bye to this rare Nomad is going to hurt! It is a pristine Arizona native that arrives with clear Arizona title from a private seller. We looked very hard for many years to find a clean, quality Nomad and believe this to be one of the best in the world. It was a no issue west coast Nomad that received a no expense spared frame off restoration. As you can see by the honest photo's taken the day of this listing, it is incredibly solid and an investment grade classic. It's never had the need in life for any replacement floor pans nor body mounts. They're All Original and painted, no undercoat, nor black spray bombs. Pure honest quality throughout! It boasts the original 265 CID V-8 attached to the original Powerglide automatic. They both have been rebuilt professionally and are with low mileage, in excellent condition. Some upgrades from original are: Tubular upper and lower control arms with disc front brakes for excellent stopping. Edelbrock 4BBL carburetor and manifold. New "Special Edition" American Racing 17" wheels. A quality aluminum radiator and dual exhaust with resonating glass pack mufflers. The beautiful original style Ciadella interior along with headliner and the exterior fit and finish are excellent. Clear glass, roll and slide like they should. $5000 has been spent on chroming the original metal, rather than installing after market bumpers and trim parts. New wiring. New brakes. This beautiful Nomad was owned by the first owner until 1969. Afterwards owned for 43 years by the second owner, an excellent professional mechanic. The odometer was turned back to zero during the restoration. Today, 840 driven miles since, driving smooth and remarkably on the highway. Extremely well cared for within our collection in a climate controlled environment. All working gauges and lights. A high end frame off restoration, on a pristine rust free Arizona native. It has been in a climate controlled environment for all its life and has been a top favorite within our private collection. Same second owner since 1978. Clear Arizona title, with 100,245 original box "A" miles. An extremely high quality tri-five Chevrolet Bel Air, retaining the "Old school original" look, while sporting incredible and reliable performance. Only 2300 driven miles on the car, subsequent to the complete and total restoration. HP 350 CID, AFR heads, roller rockers with guide plates. Hooker headers. Edelbrock air gap dual quad manifold. We're currently running only one 4BBL carburetor. The smooth and desirable Tremec 5 speed transmission for very comfortable driving. 9" Ford rear end with 350:1 posi-traction. Just under 10K was spent on the drive train parts alone. Large aluminum radiator with an electric thermostatically controlled fan. Runs at 180* here in Arizona. Coil over rear springs, easily adjusted to the height your liking, with ladder bars. "IDIDIT" tilt steering column with a brand new steering box. Box tie rods and tie rod ends. Front suspension is totally rebuilt. Disc front brakes, drum rears. SS 20 gallon gas tank with a Holley electric fuel pump. A brand new complete Ciadella interior using NOS fabric...It is absolutely gorgeous! This wonderfully built "Shoe box" is detailed in every aspect, well planned and done to perfection. All new glass. All new electric wiring and fuse panel. As with true west coast Arizona natives, it will need a wiper motor if you plan to drive it in the rain. The heater is intact and operable. It will need the rubber hoses re-attached to function...Another way that determines a true Arizonan native. Wheels are 15X4 front, 15X8 rear. Tires are excellent. The undercarriage is exceptionally clean and honest. No black spray bombs nor paint to hide anything. True quality throughout! It is a great opportunity for the "BIN" price. Over double has been spent in this 1955 Chevrolet Belair build. Paint is of excellent, remarkable quality. A deep two stage, burgundy over silver, with excellent panel fitment and shine.
