Translation: road miles vs. city driving, reduces the wear on the engine and drive train less 20,000 miles = 86,000 miles. Factor in I've used Amsoil 100 % Pure Synthetic lubricants in the Engine, Transmission and Rear end since 5,000 miles, further reduces the wear to yield 65.000 mile engine, transmission and rear end if I'd been using petroleum lubricants. The inside of the engine, transmission and rear end is as clean as the inside and outside of this Avalanche!. I've only had one check engine code, it was the hose and canister from the filler neck to the gas tank. $35.00 part from Napa, changed it myself. Have current CAR FAX also. Original tires lasted 80,000 miles. Replaced tires with exact same make & model. I check mileage tank-to-tank. Before Ethanol, 17miles per gallon. Now, 15.1 overall average. If owned numerous vehicles, this is the nicest, quite road machine I've ever owned.
