This is a 1981 CJ7. KINDA! I did not build this.The engine is a 1986? Jeep Cherokee 4.0. carbureted. it was fuel injected engine before but it has a conversion on it now.It is an automatic Cherokee transmission and transfer caseThe Frame and all surrounding parts that make up the rest of the running gear and suspension are 1981 Cj7It has a winch not sure who made it, it does work.new set of Dolphin gauges installed last year.Seats only have lap belts. the seats and belts are lightly faded.It has 2 battery boxes and a boat style battery switch. Only one battery is currently in the jeep. Why are their 2 batteries? Good question.A really cool feature is that it has a Keg for a gas tank!All 5 tires are like new.This is street legal. it has turn signals, stop lights, windshield wipers, mirrors and high and low beams. (their is a dent in one of the mirrors). the 4 wheel drive works the buggy runs and drives very well.the body is a Dune buggy body that was converted to fit the frame of the CJ7. the Radiator is in the rear in front of the spare tire. it has 2 cooling fans on the radiator. this buggy was well thought out when they built it. If you wanted an attention getter this would be it. If you to be covered in mud while mudding this would be perfect. I used this buggy to run around my property and drive it on the Beach (not in the salt water). it is a lot of fun but it doesn't get used like I thought it would. This is an 08 CAYMAN S purposed TRACK CAR up for sale. One previous owner, CARFAX Clean that I did an Interseries Spec build for the most part. +/-. You can see from the build sheet. (Still has Air Conditioning) I have had the car for about 2 years and used it as a track purposed DE car. I put around 1k miles on it since its been in my possession. No accidents and garage kept. Although the car has 76k miles it is in very good condition and LIKE brand new as I just had a dealer purchased NEW OEM Short Block from PORSCHE installed w/ 2 year warranty. I can provide the receipts from Porsche. Vehicle has NOT been driven or Tracked since the install last month. It is still considered street legal here in FL and can be registered like a normal passenger car. I left the radio/electronics/air conditioning so that it "could" be driven to and from the track or to the mechanic, gas station etc. This is a commodity with close to zero miles on the motor.. Most all these cars have either high mileage engines, swapped used ones with unknown conditions or tracked/hard driven miles...... It is a perfect DE car. As most people know this is a perfectly balanced car on the track and I have had the most memorable time in. If it was a PDK I'd be keeping it. Attached is the build sheet probably close to $50k aftermarket invested before the new short block last month. Add another approx. $18k for that. So approx. total invested included what I paid for the car is around $100k. Asking $55k obo no insults please. Reason for selling I have been taking my 458 to the track lately and really prefer to get a new gen with PDK. I do have most of the OEM parts that were taken off with the exemption of the seats, and wheels. Those are included in the sale. SAVE your TIME and your MONEY and get on the TRACK NOW without the wait. It took me 3+ months to build this car and a considerable amount of cash.. Sourcing, waiting on parts and finally building it seems like it takes forever. I had a 997.2 GT3, most recent 991 GT3 and by far this car is more fun to drive on track than either of them. At close to $100k total invested $55k is a very fair price point considering the engine is like new. Like I said this cars set up is very close to an Cayman Interseries Spec Build. I build it off their spec sheet for the most part.
