Pickup trucks are the Next Big Thing in the collector automobile world, and the ones that you can use and enjoy every day are at the very top of the heap. With a recent repaint in high-gloss black, this truck looks absolutely fantastic in person. The cool thing about the color is that it both looks appropriate on the truck's 1987 sheetmetal, as well as contemporary, since black never really goes out of style. Of course, adding things like the cowl-induction hood gives it a whole different attitude, and you can tell even in photos that the workmanship is first-rate. It appears that this has always been a clean, southern truck, and with black paint, there's really no place for shoddy workmanship to hide. It was treated to a frame-off restoration two years ago, which cost more than $30,000, so you know this isn't some beater. Heck, even the beautifully finished bed looks fresh out of the stamping press with no signs of forced labor in its past, although it now has a spray-in bedliner and stainless bed rails to keep it in top shape. The chrome and brightwork is in good shape, including the bumpers and oversized side mirrors, and fresh stainless fender moldings were installed once the paint was dry. The all-black interior is the ideal complement to the bodywork, and offers a fresh vinyl seat cover on the original bench seat, so it's comfortable no matter what time of year it might be. OEM-style components like the door panels and dash pad are in excellent condition with minimal wear and the factory gauges are in excellent condition; they're so nice that we strongly suspect they've been rebuilt. Fresh carpets were fitted and the shifter on the floor manages the 2-speed transfer case for the 4-wheel-drive system. In the center of the dash there's a high-end AM/FM/CD/iPod/satellite stereo that powers a set of subwoofers behind the seats, so this sucker really rocks. It's also loaded with options, including A/C, a tilt steering column, and a sliding rear window for those days when you just don't need A/C. Just get in and go have fun! Under the hood, a rebuilt 350 cubic inch V8 from a K10 Blazer has been nestled between the wheel wells, and someone obviously took their time dressing it up. There's a chrome air cleaner lid and Chevy Orange on the block and an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor has been fitted to an aluminum intake, so it's plenty stout. The motor makes wonderful sounds thanks to a set of long-tube headers and a pair of Flowmasters with outlets just under the bed. This sucker snarls! The ultra-clean chassis is neatly finished with no signs of abuse or even aggressive off-roading, and all the suspension modifications are quite nicely done, including the lift kit. Everything has been restored, replaced, or rebuilt, and the vast amounts of cash that went into the build are obvious everywhere you look. Heck, those custom black powdercoated wheels and 38.5-15 Super Swamper tires probably cost 20% of the asking price! This is one of those trucks that needs nothing to hit the trails, and looks great even on pavement. There's a ton of cash invested here, and it makes a lot of sense to take advantage of someone else's investment. Made to withstand all the punishment that a commercial vehicle needs to tolerate, this 1994 Chevrolet Silverado pickup appears to have led a very pampered existence. There may not be a nicer one, leading us to wonder if it's time for the Silverado to become a genuine collector vehicle. With a great look, V8 power, and remarkable originality, this low-mileage (6,052 actual miles to be exact) survivor deserves your full attention. Black will always be the toughest finish to maintain but year in and out it is always one of the top color choices when you want to impress. Combined with the regular cab and stepside bed, the truck has a sporty demeanor and a great look. It remains in outstanding condition for being more than 20 years old, and the shiny paint has weathered the years far better than most GM products of the era, needing nothing more than a buff to really look great. There are no notable blemishes, no major road rash, just a few signs of use here and there, and it's obvious that someone really loved this truck. There was never a great deal of chrome fitted to these workhorses but what is there remains in good condition. Few trucks wear the stepside bed better than the C10, and I would happily trade the reduced capacity for the awesome look every time. Slip inside and have a seat. Twin captain's chairs make this a first-class way to haul your gear and the gray cloth upholstery looks immaculately maintained. Because this is a Silverado it is optioned with several creature comforts, including air conditioning which still blows ice cold, plus an AM/FM/CD stereo, cruise control, power windows, locks, and seats, and a tilt wheel are all at your fingertips, further blurring the line between blue and white collar transportation. And we haven't forgotten that this is a truck with a half- ton load capacity and so power steering and power brakes make it all manageable. The dash pad isn't cracked, the carpets are protected by heavy-duty mats, and the center console offers plenty of storage for a few extra items along the way. Given the condition of the interior, we're thinking the mileage shown is pretty likely to be original. Open the hood and inspect the nicely detailed engine bay. This Silverado is equipped with the 350 cubic inch V8 that has been fitted to everything from Camaros to, well, pickup trucks. There are plenty of aftermarket performance enhancements for those of you that like to modify your ride's performance, thanks to the longevity and the multi -model placement of this motor. Still, more than enough power available if you choose to leave the motor bone stock like this one, which looks like it just rolled out of the showroom. The 4-speed automatic transmission is also performing without complaint and there isn't a better transmission available to mate to the 350; after all, nobody really wants a manual transmission in their truck, do they? Have a look at the super clean undercarriage, where you'll find no secrets, thanks to a lifetime in a warm climate, and again, it offers more proof of this truck's remarkable low mileage promise. Chrome wheels add some flash to the black pickup, endowing it with a sporty demeanor, and it carries 235/75/15 Toyo radials all around, perhaps only the second set of tires this truck has ever worn. Is this the nicest 1994 Silverado in the world? I wouldn't bet against it! Vehicle Information VIN: 1GCDC14HXNZ132359 Stock: 2058-ATL Mileage: 5,500 Color: Maroon Trans: Automatic Engine: 5L V8 16V MPG: Drivetrain: RWD Description Someone forgot to remind this 1992 Chevrolet C1500 that its a pickup truck. Somewhere along the way, it received a heart transplant that includes a supercharged crate motor and an athletic suspension that makes it more muscle car than utilitarian hauler. Finished in burgundy paint, this truck would ordinarily keep a low profile. However, that all changed with the addition of a cowl-induction hood and a set of custom silver SS stripes and a set of flames on the hood, all of which transform this former work truck into something special. Workmanship is quite good, with a fantastic shine to the finish and great attention to detail that includes the stripes on the roof and hard shell tonneau cover, all of which line up beautifully from panel to panel. The grille was borrowed from a 95 model and the rear bumper was ditched in favor of a custom roll pan that fits like it was born there. Shaved emblems give it a clean look, although custom ZZ430 emblems are on the doors, but well get to that in a moment. With just a bit of rake, this slick pickup will make you forget about your chores and instead encourages you to head out and have some fun. The interior is very much standard Chevy pickup, but its not like thats a bad thing. With handsome burgundy fabric on a split bench seat, it is comfortable and attractive for long hauls and given its condition, it has always been well-maintained. Original carpets and door panels reinforce that fact and its loaded with options: A/C, power windows and locks, a tilt steering column, and a decent AM/FM/cassette stereo system that still sounds good. A full set of Dakota Digital gauges replace the original dials and when you turn the key and see the dash light up, its pretty darned cool. Tinted windows give it a sinister look, and its probably safe to call the enclosed bed a giant trunk. And yes, thats a bottle of unused nitrous there in the back. The original engine was yanked in favor of a small block built into a ZZ430. Displacing 350 cubic inches and using fast-burn heads, 4-bolt mains, and a performance roller cam, youd think most guys would be satisfied. Instead, the fellow who built this truck added a Vortech supercharger, which pushes pressurized air through a custom Quick Fuel 4-barrel carburetor for instantaneous throttle response. The engine bay, even with the big blower, looks quite stock, which is always the hallmark of careful workmanship: preserving the OEM look and feel without going crazy with the shiny stuff. Dual electric fans on the giant radiator keep it cool even under boost. The 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission is a great complement to the boosted engine, keeping it in the sweet spot and pegging full boost with a quick downshift and the rugged truck rear end wont complain about the torque. The suspension has been lowered 2.5 inches in front and three inches in back to level it out a bit and the exhaust system is a great-sounding Flowmaster setup fed by ceramic-coated long-tube headers. Pretty polished Torque Thrust wheels add a performance look and carry 255/50/17 BFGoodrich radials that fill the trucks big wheel arches perfectly. A very neat truck with lots of power on tap and the suspension to use it. Yeah, itll still haul, but it would rather be chasing Mustangs. Call today! Vehicle Information VIN: 1GCDC14N1PZ126815 Stock: 1977-ATL Mileage: 30,627 Color: Black Trans: Automatic Engine: 7.4L V8 16V MPG: Drivetrain: RWD Description When Chevys big block debuted there was a need for larger engines with more torque for trucks. At the same time, engineers developed a performance version for what are now a slew of legendary cars built in the 60s and early 70s. Cost-cutting, emissions and downsizing killed that fun, though there was one last hurrah: machines like this 1993 SS454 sport truck. While not exactly a COPO Camaro, these short bed trucks have a look all their own and a very strong following. Outside, your color choice was simple: black or buy a different truck. Chevys Heartbeat of America campaign was in full swing, and red accents separated the sporty models from the mundane, and an all-black grille, fog lights, and an air dam are enough to frighten the heck out of the car in front of you. 454SS decals on the quarter panels and chrome wheels with matching center caps were package exclusive. Like most vehicles of this era, the paint failed to hold up due to the changeover in paint technologies (you remember Berettas and Cavaliers with sheets of color missing) and this one had dulled to the point of no return. In response, a full, high quality repaint was done a couple years back and its miles ahead of what the factory ever managed. This is a southern truck with only 30,000 one owner original miles so the body was just about perfect to start with. The headlights and taillights are in excellent shape. High quality tint on the side and rear windows as well as smoked covers on the front turn signals make the truck even more sinister. The bed is fully protected with a spray-in liner, and the spoiler on the tailgate gives off a great NASCAR truck series vibe. Inside, the medium gray velour interior split buckets with center console are in nearly perfect shape, and the lack of fading shows that this truck was stored indoors most of its life. While Chevy trucks are hearty vehicles its still nice to know that every switch, button and knob work as they should. You got full instrumentation with the SS package, complete with tachometer. Factory A/C, cruise control and delay wipers are on the turn signal stalk, while the unusual split radio and cassette deck are still in the dash. This is a large and comfortable truck, and its even better with big block torque under your right foot! Pop the hood and find the heart of the package: The big 7.4 liter, 454 cubic inch V8. With throttle body injection it makes 250 horsepower and a towering 385 pounds of torque, a number the small block couldnt hope to achieve. Its nearly stock in here aside from the throwback chrome air cleaner and yellow Accel spark plug wires and the power steering, power disc brakes and the A/C all work as they should. Connected to a TH400, heavy duty lock-up transmission and a 13-bolt rear axle with 4.11 gears and a Posi, this SS454 is no slouch, and the hardware is pretty much bulletproof. 1993 Was the last year of production as well as the leanest, with only 833 examples built. Underneath its again quite tidy and clean. A subtle dual exhaust system is a great addition to the great engine under the hood. Chevy opted to throw in Bilstein shocks at all four corners and fat 275/60/15 tires like the BFGoodrich rollers you see here. Big, black, and surprisingly fast, this is the truck that invented the sport truck revolution, and its a legitimate collectors item in its own right today. Call now!
