Keeping it cool is a combination of electric water pump and a Griffin Aluminum Radiator. The transmission is a Turbo Hydramatic 400 3 speed automatic, which as many builders know, is one of the best options to use behind a big block for its overall strength and durability. The rear end is a GM 12-Bolt fitted with 4.56:1 gears, so although maybe not the best highway driver, this little beast can get you where you want to go pretty quick. The interior is very basic and race inspired, from the switchboard dash to the race bucket seats. The interior is also mounted with a 6-point roll cage with swingout bars. Up for sale in our Tampa Showroom is by far one of the most iconic American Sports Cars ever made, the 1954 Chevrolet Corvette. These cars were built in very limited production during its early years with a total of 3634 total Corvettes built in 1954, 3,230 were built in the Polo White, 300 built in Pennant Blue, 100 built in Sportsman Red, and a mere 4 built in Black. The one you see here is originally a Pennant Blue car but has since been repainted. The color could not be matched perfectly so it does appear a few shades darker than the original. The Pennant Blue Corvette\'s were only available with Beige interiors, which gave the car a very classy look. This Corvette has had a slight upgrade from the original with the addition of AM/FM radio with digital tuner. The current owner/builder made sure to install a RetroSound radio so as not to take too much away from the car during this upgrade. Now one major iconic aspect of this car, is that it does come with the original Blue Flame Six, 235 cid Inline 6 engine, which was used in a lot of cars during this era, and although not the most popular engine Chevrolet ever built, when you install this engine into a lightweight fiberglass body with an astounding center of gravity, a car like this can outrun any other American built car during the 1950\'s. One thing a lot of restoration shops do on a car like this, is to gut out the original inline 6 and replace it with a 327, 350 or even a big block because they feel the car lacks in power. The fact that this builder actually kept the original engine actually shows a love for the car as it was sitting on the showroom floor in 1954. The trunk is quite large on this car as well, with special pockets sewn in to hold the side windows up when you want to go cruising with the top down. True to the Corvette standard, this car, as many others after has an easy to use manual convertible top, which folds under a special fiberglass tonneau cover behind the drivers seat. This 1954 Chevrolet Corvette is a truly rare car indeed, with only 300 of these made it is hard to imagine how many are actually left, so don\'t miss on your opportunity to own the car that began the American Sports Car Craze. One of the rarest Shelby\'s on the market, even more rare than the original AC Cobra, is the 1965 Shelby American 427 Cobra. With a total market of only 500 produced, and only 10 produced in Carbon Fiber, this is the ultimate collector car for any kind of collector. If you are into some of the best drivers, some of the best horsepower to weight, and by far one of the most iconic sports cars to ever come out of the 60\'s, this is the one for you. Each one of these Cobra\'s are serialized in sequence of 10, with a signed dash plaque from Carroll Shelby himself. On top of that, each individual vehicle had painted in vintage race fashion, which serial number each one was, this one of course being Number 2 of 10 Carbon Fiber models made. The rarest Shelby ever made needs to be fitted with the best Ford engine ever made, so of course it was an easy choice to produce each of these with a 427 cubic inch Side Oiler V8, boasting 409 horsepower, 462 lb/ft of torque all on 11.5:1 Compression ratio, which means you are getting all this amazing power out of standard pump gas! To make this car even more incredible, is the transmission is a 4-speed toploader manual, one of Ford\'s best manual transmissions produced in this time, and incredibly precise between gears. When these cars were produced, with only 500 in total production, the options were seemingly endless, the other 490 were produced with high quality fiberglass, but were optioned with either the FE Big Block, 351W, or 302 Headers, depending on your preference. These were all equipped with Four Wheel independent suspension, rack and pinion steering, Baer Brakes with Shelby inscription, 15\" Halibrand Pin Drive Wheels, Painted side pipe exhaust, and a Shelby Aluminum Differential with Dana 44 gears with a 3.54:1 gear ratio. The exterior is painted in one of Carroll Shelby\'s favorite colors, Guardsman Blue with Wimbledon White racing stripe running the length of the car. This style was made iconic from his original Cobra made during 1965. The interior is very high grade vinyl seating over sport bucket seats, as you sit down you can tell no expense was spared from Shelby American when it came to ultimate drivability. Carpeting has been laid throughout the entire car, from the front to the trunk. The series included the MG TA, MG TB, MG TC, MG TD, and MG TF Midget models. This 52 MG TD roadster was originally restored by the MG club of New England and was driven in the Circuit of Great Britain in 2000.
