This is what you get after a 6 year build full of all sorts of customization and aftermarket performance parts. The build was done by Pottstown Street Racer Company from beginning to end. All said and done, this build totaled well over $150,000, I'll let that speak for itself. The car was finished in House of Kolors Candy Tangerine on both the topside and underside; literally every angle of this car was painted to match! This Camaro is powered by a Dave Bruetsle 454ci V8 engine, made up of ARP fasteners, Eagle rods, and Manley valves and timing chain, making about 700 HP! The TH400 automatic transmission was built by JG Transmissions in Pennsylvania and included ALTO red clutches, an extra deep sump pan, and Transmission Specialties 3800 4000 stall converter, rated to 1000 HP. This '69 Camaro was built with a custom engineered and designed chassis by one of the premier chassis builders on the east coast, Larry King Race Cars, who fabricated a three quarter tube chassis with custom configured interior roll cage, complete with a back seat inside the passenger compartment. Just listen. The original owner of this vehicle, Al Pincus, purchased the DMC-12 new from a dealership in Florida, but just a few short months later that dealer closed. However, Pincus was determined to learn the history of this car, more so than most other Delorean owners at the time. So, by tracking down the owner of the dealership, he was able to get in contact with John Delorean himself. At the time Mr. Delorean was living on a large property in New Jersey, alone and in rough shape, due to the recently concluded court case, which was investigating various federal charges. Pincus visited him multiple time and continued a friendship with John for years. Pincus decided to invite Mr. Delorean to be the Grand Marshall at the Buckingham Auto Show. Mr. Delorean accepted and drove this very DMC-12 into the opening ceremony of the show, as well as to a personal breakfast before the show. Sadly, Mr. Delorean passed away a few years after the two became close friends, but the DMC-12's legend lives on. This DMC-12 was driven, signed and used as a feature car by Michael J. Fox in his T.V. show Spin City. Even cooler, Fox himself mailed the original owner "a large box" filled with the original "non-destructive" props used on HIS Delorean to be used on this very one. We have what remains of those props and various other pieces of memorabilia. Additionally, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, and John Delorean himself sign this car!
