I bought this car from the original owner with only 500 miles on odometer as the car was purchased new as for investment purposes only and was kept stored in climate controlled environment. I had the car for 9 years and only put around 2000 local sunny driven miles so as to keep everything preserved as should. I recently performed a fresh oil / filter change to include Mobil 1 full synthetic oil and the proper filter . This car has its original F1 Eagle P275/40ZR Tires which are still fine and no weather rot . Car is equipped with the SS and SLP package to include every available option . This is a ttop car with the high performance LS1 350 motor and 6 speed low throw hurst shifter. Car is 100% stock / factory with zero modifications and a stock 345 H.P ( 325 without the slp air intake )The undercarriage , interior and motor are all perfect and remain as did when new with zero leaks of anything . Trans and motor appear to both be aluminum . The SLP package also consist of dual straight exhaust and the car sounds awesome is the best choice . Very deep ,throaty and powerful . The only cosmetic issue I found at all is the drivers ttop panel has some scuff marks which occurred while ttop was off the car . I was planning many times over the last few years to repair it simple ( $125.00) just never actually ever remembered to do it.. There is a couple very hard to notice polishing lines in the gorgeous black paint other than that this car is Perfect all the way around as it should be with zero dents or dings ever. . these 35 Th anniversary Camaro SS cars are becoming harder to find not to mention one with this low mileage ! If you would like to own an affordable sports car, that gets an INSANE amount of attention, day OR night, please look at this VERY cool vehicle I wish to part with. Way back in the Winter of 1980, I purchased this 1970 Opel GT. My goal was to take the looks of this vehicle, "to the max". All new bodywork is fiberglass. The paint is acrylic enamel with hardener, plus an additive called "Color Blender". The finished product looks nothing like an orange peel, rough factory finish. It was wet sanded and buffed, after the proper cure period. It looks like glass. The motor was completely rebuilt by C & R Cars, an Opel dealer in Connecticut. The Block was painted green. Engine has new pistons, a new mild cam, new larger intake and exhaust valves, a new Webber carb, a new four into one header, Ansa exhaust, new water pump, and a new ignition coil and wires. It has always ran flawless. Car pulls strongest between 80-90mph. Also, since everything was apart, the clutch and pressure plate were replaced. Wheels are Enkei, with Fulda Y2000 tires. Adjustable rate Koni shocks handle the suspension duties. Front and rear heavy duty sway bars keep the car nice and flat, for superb handling. The heavy starting battery was moved from the radiator area, to behind the passenger seat, for improved weight distribution. The car has been garaged for almost twenty years in a controlled environment, and NOT used. I changed the oil with a synthetic blend, and added fresh gas, with a small amount of Lucas "Upper Cylinder Lubricant". I removed the spark plugs and cranked the engine until the low oil pressure light went out. I repeated this for a second time. I put the plugs back in and started the engine. The wheel alignment appears to be perfect for all four wheels, as the tires show no wear at all for 5-7k miles. Five to seven thousand miles have been placed on this vehicle since rebuild. Odometer reads 36,712 Rack and pinion is perfect. The steering is 100% tight. The interior has NO musty or mouse smells, since it has been in a controlled environment. In fact, there is a fabric/upolstery smell inside. Rubber door seals were replaced during the rebuild phase, and the drivers door still to this day takes more force than normal to compress the rubber. Not used in Winter, as road salt destroys vehicles. Body has no rust. Clear title in hand. . . Car has the following known issues: Both front brake calipers are frozen. (autoatlanta.com has calipers for $36.52 ea.) Water pump is frozen. Headliner and door fabric need to be redone. Paint has small chips, and small flaws here and there. Only one Recaro drivers seat comes with vehicle. Passenger seat is in my Winter salt car. Does not come with a starting battery. Speedometer cable, or right angle drive is broken. Rear end has since day one made a slight humming sound. Never changed in pitch or loudness. Noticeable when on the highway, not around town. Drivers window cranks up slightly crooked. Starter solenoid needs replacing, as sometimes it clicks. Interior has plenty of head and leg room. Width is the issue. My Honda measures 51" at the shoulder. Opel is 47". This 2" per side difference is noticeable. Front spoiler is low to the ground. (6") Need to be careful around town. Tires look brand new, but are 20 years old. I'd guess they are fine for around town driving, but are they safe for high speed driving? Stick shift feels loose compared to my Honda. I've spent around 10k for everything here. This does not count the zillion hours I spent doing the body mods, plus the paint which I completely did myself. Looking for a reasonable offer, so this fab project can have a new home. This truck is in good running condition,even with the mileage never abused . We used this truck for our moving Co. we no longer have the company .Thats the only reason why we are selling.has a fiberglass box there are a few scratches and and there is a 2 ft scratch on the passenger side nothing major . the hood has some rust spots on it .The A/C doesnt work .maybe just needs to recharged . we just never had it cked out. only had this truck since march 2013 been registered .took off the road march 2014 due to not having the Company any longer.there is a large ramp that comes out and a nice step rear bumper easy for loading . there is a pass through to the cab ,bucket seats driving side is a little worn and ripped. Cat removed, with flow master super 40 muffler. Sounds awesome,! Brand new radiator and thermostat. Pinion seal bearings, and rear axle seals and bearings all redone, have receipts . New sony stereo system mounted under rear seat, runs by remote. Set up for Pandora, has USB for iPods, ect. Jeep set up for Bluetooth . Frame in excellent condition, no rust. Underneath super clean. No play at all in steering wheel, which is usually a issue with bigger tires and lift.Under the hood is extremely clean.
