I am the third owner. This truck has lived its whole life in Marietta, MN. This truck is truly an amazing barn find. It is completely original and no-one has messed with or changed anything. It is about as complete as you could possibly ever hope for. Please look at every one of the pictures The body is totally original, virtually rust free and the greatest patina of the original factory paint I have ever seen. The cab corners, doorsills and running boards are near perfect with only patina and no rust. The rare long pickup box is near perfect. The tailgate was missing so I found another one that came off a truck a long time ago and stored in a shed. The wood floor has obviously rotted with age but all the metal is intact. The only flaw in the body is a small 1" hole in the floor to the left of the clutch pedal as you can see in the pictures. This truck still has the original 4 hub caps on the original wheels. The interior is as you see it in the pictures. Still all there but definitely showing its age. The windshield and back window are good but both rollup windows are cracked. I found an original GMC radio that would fit this truck. Needs total restoration but its a start. The engine is the original and I was told that it started to lose power and that's why the truck was parked over 30 years ago. I was lucky and found another engine out of a 51 Chev grain truck that only had 25,000 original miles on it. I am including that engine with the truck. No-one has touched or moved this truck in over 30 years. Everything needs to be gone over and I'm sure it will need grease and oil in a lot of spots. Transmission moves through all the gears. I have done nothing to it except move it so that there will be no surprises for the new owner other than those to be expected. There are a lot of junk trucks for sale out there, this is not one of them. With very little effort this truck can be restored to show condition or brought back to life with a magnificent original patina. I have a clear Minnesota title in my name including current license plates till September, 2016. I would be willing to deliver this truck anywhere in the lower 48 for $1 per loaded mile. 1948 Ford F-4 Cab and Chassis with a dump stake box. This is a fresh farm find, has not been driven in over 10 years. We put in some fresh gas and pull started it so it does run. Will need carb cleaned, new plugs and battery. The truck was owned by two local farmers since new and was used primarily as a grain truck. The truck was parked over ten years ago when the farmer retired. Truck comes with a clear Minnesota title and the mileage of 65,145 is original. Three of the six tires are flat. Should be able to get some air in them to load on a trailer. Engine and drive train are all original. Interior is pretty decent considering age. Body and floor are pretty rust-free, please check out all the pictures. There is a small dent on drivers side roof from a tree branch, door is not affected. The car has been repainted about 15 years ago and it does not appear that much filler was used. Except for a few spots the paint and body look pretty good. There is a new black rubber piece that fits under the grille included. True Crager Super Sport wheels and good tires. Trunk is solid with no rust. We just drove the car 80 miles with no trouble at all. Buyer should be able to pick it up and drive it home. This is a factory four speed car. We don't know how many were made but believe it to be very rare. Clutch and shifter work great. This car is not perfect and will need some TLC.
