This is a unique and very fast Caterham 7 SV (wide body) first sold in 2007 in Delaware. It is now registered in California and is smog exempt here. Unlike the standard body, it is easiy to get in and out and has leg room for a 6’+ driver. This is a great alternative to 620R if at least that level of performance is important and do not want to spend over $100K. About 4000 miles ago, its original 2 liter Zetec engine was rebuilt with forged rods, pistons, ARP studs, and CNC ported big valve rare SVT head for boost application. Turbo installation, intake, and exhaust are all custom. Factory computer was upgraded to more capable Electromotive engine management. No carburetor here. Now it can spin the rear wheels at will in the first 3 gears with treaded tires even with the current modest 11-12 lbs of boost, generated by Garrett GT28RS turbo. It is making about 305 HP (260 wheel HP) and is capable of quite a bit more. Wide 245 section Maxxis tires have minimized the wheel spin under the full power.
