A little history on the car; This car was order from a small dealership in Hutchinson Minnesota, Frank Motor Co. by a Father and son ( the son worked at the dealership) Both of there names are in the Owners Manual and on the Certicard in the back of it. A small break down on the VIN... C-Chrysler H-High (Price Class) 41-4 Door Sedan L-440 1-4bbl 8 Cylinder RB engine (High Performance) 8-1968 C-Jefferson Michigan (Assembly Plant) This car remained in this area of the State until I purchased it. I talked with the Son recently and he told me the car was never driven in bad weather (his words) this is very apparent by looking at the vehicle. This car is the cleanest High Performance Chrysler product (Dodge, Chrysler, Plymouth) I have ever seen and or owned, and I have been in this hobby for about 35+ years and have been to a lot of the big shows. Also, I have Never seen another Chrysler New Yorker with this engine option, (other than in a Chrysler 300) This car must be seen to be appreciated, it is a true survivor! Original paint, bright work (bumpers, grille, door handles) interior, seats, carpet, dash, steering wheel, all looks like new! This car just turned over to 49,000 miles. I have the original window sticker, owners manual with the owners name in it (one of the 2 original owners is still alive and is willing to talk about his old Chrysler) certicard , build sheet (still under the back seat where Chrysler put it) I have a picture of it. The spare tire has never been on the car, it still has the factor markings on it. a lot of the pencil marking are still in place in the trunk, door jams and under the hood. This car is the ultimate sleeper and the only one (New Yorker) I have ever seen with this engine option. Has always been stock. Unmolested Grand National with 33k miles. Factory paperwork when purchased new with all books. Every option special ordered, which was available on the rare new 3.8SFI intercooled Turbo (same car as the 1987) only less made, and comes factory with a chrome grill. Options as follows: t-tops, power seat, concert sound stereo, trunk carpet lined, power windows, power locks, power antenna, Cruise, tilt and Air conditioning. Original paint. The only few things not original are as follows: Tires, which are new, plugs, wires, oem air filter, battery and mass air. Everything else on this car is and always was right where it was when built in 1986. (No bad weather ever, undercarriage proves it) Many of these cars have been performance enhanced and put back to stock; this is not one of them! No rust ever. No dents or dings. Grand Nationals were not known for the best paint (lacquer) this car shines exceptionally well and only has two very minor touched up scratches on the passenger door. (Wound not show on pic’s) I was advised not to fix them and leave the factory paint (Keeping with the “They are only original once theory” I was only quoted $600 by a highline local facility to blend with the factory lacquer. (I’m not touching it) Flawless interior. Everything works, even the factory air conditioning!! Runs and drives down the road like it did in 1986. NOTE: I am NOT the original owner, he lives less then 2-miles from my house. I bought this car from him 2-years ago and have yet to title it in my name.
