1973 Z/28 RS-LT with factory A/C. The original owner bought it with every available option except the vinyl top (power windows were late availability). The dealer installed dual-point ignition, an Edelbrock intake, Holley carburetor and a local muffler shop installed Hooker headers. It was a second vehicle for him, so he only put 13,000 miles on it between 1973-1982. The person that I bought it from was searching for a Corvette in 1982 when he stumbled across an ad in the Wheeler Dealer magazine for this car. He fell in love with it and took it home. It was also a second car for him, and like the first owner would only drive it in sunny weather. He put an additional 48,000 miles on it between 1982 and when I purchased it. I have it listed at 62,000 miles because I still drive it frequently so it might go over the 62,000 while this listing runs. I was very skeptical when the person that I bought it from told me that car had never been driven in the rain until I looked under the hood and read the original paper oil change sticker from the selling dealer on the radiator support from 1973. Any rain under the hood would have destroyed the sticker. The car was maintained by the same shop for the past 33 years. It has received hoses, belts and other general maintenance items, but it was never altered beyond the original dealer-installed components. It still has the entire original interior down to the floor mats, with the exception of the rear seat back that was professionally recovered using factory fabric. The carburetor, ignition and headers were replaced in 2008 instead of restoring the old ones, and the car was repainted in a base/clear version of the dark red metallic. The owner hated to repaint it, but the original lacquer paint was starting to checker badly from age. He turned it over to one of the best painters in his area for a year and told him to take his time and do it right. He took the liberty of removing the LT badges from the car when it was repainted, but they come with the car if you want to have them reinstalled. It is a no-excuses, unrestored and lightly dealer-modified car. It is one of the best 2nd Generation (1970 - 1973) Z/28's that you will find. The original motor and transmission have never been removed or rebuilt, as the car was adult owned and never abused. The original Firestone Wide Oval spare tire has never been removed from the trunk. The car still has all of the original glass, including the windshield. It is very hard to find one that hasn't been modified with a different radio, speakers, drivetrain, etc. It still has the original center caps and trim rings on the wheels, which have the correct rough textured paint instead of ones that you commonly see that are restored with darker grey and too much sheen to them. Putting my baby up for sale. This truck was bought new in july 2014 with 10 miles on it. truck has been babied ever since garage kept and never smoked in. this truck look new inside and out, there are two spots letting you know up front as alot of people will try to hide stuff, there is a small chip on passenger front door from where the lawn mower guy got me and there is a small dent in the back bumper on pass corner. I have included pictures of both. Front Tires are 70% with some wear on outside edges truck has been aligned with no problems, rear tires are also 70% and in great shape. truck is completely stock mechanically. This thing has all of the options available when this truck produced. I will include picture of new vehicle window sticker that list options. I have added under the rail led bed lighting which is hooked to the factory aux switches and installed with a factory like custom wiring harness so no wiring problems down the road these lights are led strips about 120 leds per side of bed and super bright white light. truck will also include husky liner floor mats front and rear those alone were $185 for the set. I will also throw in the mopar gooseneck ball kit which includes removable 2 5/16 " ball and safety chain hooks which install in seconds as this truck has factory gooseneck and fifth wheel prep which also gives you a 7way trailer plug in the bed. Truck comes with all the factory floor mats owners manual 2.5 to 2 inch hitch adapter. tailgate blocks for camera of you need to remove it and all other paperwork and aux/pto wiring that came from factory. Truck has camera on tailgate which displays in rear view mirror and a cargo camera in third brake light both of these make hooking to any trailer a breeze. towing capacity is 29,700 lbs I think no exact but really close, trick has 4.10 rear gears and had pulled anything with ease that i have ever put behind it. Other than the things i listed above this truck looks and drives like new inside and out.
