Up for sale is my 58 Olds Super 88. 4 door post.All original car, 371 V8 automatic. Unknown actual mileage, judging by condition of exterior of car id imagine its low mileage. Car is in great condition for its age- small, minor rust spots around headlights and rust on front bumper ends. Body is straight as an arrow no dents no holes no bondo. Back bumper is like new. beautiful, no rust no dents.All stainless is there, and on car. Its all near perfect except one piece on passenger side front fender is a little dinged up.Car runs and drives, all new fresh tune up, Brand new plugs, wires, points, plugs, condenser, coil, rotor, cap. 200$Brand new gear reduction starter. 200$Brand new brakes, shoes, hardware, wheel cylinders on all 4 wheels, power brake booster is newly rebuilt. 600$Carb needs some attention.Fresh oil change and filterNeeds tires, these are dry rotted.Interior needs to be completely restored. Its all there, all complete however has been beaten by years and the sun. Door panels and everything is here. Trunk is solid. ........as the car show season moves thru the last 3 years I have yet to run across another Studebaker Scotsman. This fine example has new body off paint job. The interior is also new. We have gone over all the mechanicals and replaced and fixed most issues. The underside is very clean. Motor is strong with no noise , exhaust is fairly new, new tires and all the braking parts inspected. The driveline is soliRecent new starter, engine mounts, universal joints and shocks. Installed new gauges and fuel sender unit. Fuel tank is spotless inside , very shinny metal. I have put 3000 miles ( since the restoration - total miles are about 80,000) this car in 4 months going to shows and getting all the small items repaired. I want the car to be ready for new owners so you don't have to deal with major issues. The engine compartment and trunk are color matched with new paint.This is a very good low # 2 car that can be driven on weekends to cruise nights and shows. I have all the receipts and workshop and body manuals.Most repair parts are purchased from Studebaker Internationals 300 page catalog. They have most parts for this car. Quick shipping from them. The radiator is currently out getting flow tested and cleaned .I am also getting ready to add new switches to the dash panel. Currently has an electric fuel pump with switch.I have new front arm rests in a box. There is a crack in the drivers side windshield to the far left. See pictures. No dings in the body. Little rock chip marks here and there but mostly no noticeable. Needs a parking brake handle assembly inside the car, all the other parking brake parts are in place. other parts are in place. Original car did not come with a heater or ac. I only drive in nice weather, no rain. Vacuum wiper motor needs attention. May be missing a small piece of the linkage and needs wiper switch. All the locks and keys work. Radio installed and tested . Will need a new speaker. . I have the correct cover plate for the dash that takes a speaker and a clock. Delete plate in place for now. Will need a spare tire and jack. A get a lot of compliments on the car and most of the other collectors at the shows have said they have never seen this model before. Lots of waves , smiles and thumbs up when this baby is on the road. Yes I would drive this car from New Jersey to California. Just remember there were no oil filter on this car so you change the oil every 1000 miles. No rust, no paint bubbles, no dents, no scratches, no bad body filler. Very nice paint job. No tears in the seats, carpet or headliner. New horns, horn wiring and relays. Perfect steering wheel. All turn, brake and headlights work. Glass widows work. Drivers window sticks sometimes. Driver vent glass has a crack.
