This old car has been waiting for someone to adopt and give it a “forever home”. Being sold for parts or restoration, but it does have clean paper. It has been languishing around long enough for a tree to try to attach itself; so it could not leave as you can see from the door handle on passenger rear. The straight 8 decided to be with a different family years ago. I believe I still have the trans somewhere. I tried to air the tires up when I wrestled it from its resting spot and the tires blew out with very little air. Surprisingly enough, all the wheels rolled and steering is loose. As you can see, the rear window is missing but all the rest of the glass is there although most of it needs replaced. Flat glass is cheap and easy to have cut. It does have a title. The car is listed for sale locally and this listing may end at any. This car does not run and will have to be transported on a trailer.Per Ebay guidelines, this car is inoperable and must be towed or trailered.

You don't see many '30s Buick rods, and this handsome Special sedan provides style, comfort, and performance in equal doses. The bright blue paint certainly makes this Buick a real attention-grabber, but the good news is that it stands up to the scrutiny. The build is a few years old so it's got some mileage on it, but the handsome Buick shape and tall, narrow grille make it one of the best-looking cars of the era. Long, sweeping fenders, those cool bullet-shaped headlights and matching running lights atop the front fenders, and the narrow grille bars make it look fast just sitting still. They removed the hood sides for a genuine hot rod look and some of the trim has vanished along the way, so it looks clean and sleek, not frumpy. The bumpers were also shaved, so it looks compact and muscular, and the stance is just about perfect. The two-tone interior is simply extraordinary, combining artistic craftsmanship with high-tech entertainment systems to make it truly one-of-a-kind. The cream seating surfaces give it a luxurious feel, and the orange inserts and trim are actually the same color and material as a basketball, so it gives it a very unique look that actually works very well. The driver gets a full array of VDO gauges that look suitably vintage, and a custom center console was fabbed up to hold the A/C controls and one of the five TV screens inside the cabin. A tilt steering column with a pretty wood-rimmed wheel has a traditional look and the low-key tan carpets and sisal mats work well to keep it all tied together. The AM/FM/CD stereo system is augmented by speakers throughout the interior plus two giant subwoofers in the trunk, so it's easy to fill the interior with sound. There are TV screens in the dash and built into the head rests for back seat occupants, so it's ideal for road trips if that's what you're into. Everything works and the attention to detail is impressive in every way. The engine is a smooth-running 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 that's detailed enough to look great through the open hood sides, but not so over-chromed that it's a part-time job keeping it clean. Standard upgrades like an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, aluminum intake manifold, and long-tube headers mean that it's plenty powerful to move the luxurious Buick sedan, and it's been upgraded with R134a refrigerant in the A/C system, power steering and brakes, as well as a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission. The front clip offers disc brakes, while the 10-bolt out back packs highway-friendly gears for effortless cruising. A custom dual exhaust system uses resonators and mufflers for a unique sound that never gets annoying on the highway (no need to fight with the entertainment system, right?) and the stance is exactly right. Beautiful chrome Boss wheels fill the fenders and carry giant 245/35/20 performance radials. A unique car that gets everything exactly right, this big Buick is big time affordable fun. Thanks for looking. I am selling this vehicle for a retired relative who is liquidating their assets. I hate to use the word rare in any of my listings but from what I understand this is truly a rare factory 3 speed standard column shift 1955 Convertible Buick Special with the factory V8 (nail-head) engine. It has 30,220 original miles and there are two blown valves. The engine turns. The original colors were black and white with red interior. All of the trim, chrome, bumpers, interior, panels are all included and are in boxes. It was a restore that never happened. It was a one owner vehicle. The interior is probably in 55% to 65% in good shape. I have many pictures, too many to list. The glass is all there and in good to great shape as well. Needs a top as shown and ready for a restore. It's all there so feel free to ask questions. Buyer is responsible for all transport costs. A $1,000.00 deposit is due within 24 hours of auction end. Do not have a title (yes auction says clean title bc it is, just don't have one) but can provide a NH registration.

It has the perfect premium feeling without being too flashy, and this one has been locally kept that way for nearly half a century. This A-body General Motors coupe carries plenty more curves than its more common Chevelle cousin. Plus, it's hard not to stare at the great two-tone Saddle Mist paint with a Regal Black painted top. That's probably because it's a respray of this Buick's factory-correct shade that occurred a few years ago, and now this coupe is up to concours quality. Buicks are always known for tasteful chrome, and it looks spectacular on this metallic brown car. This is the Deluxe trim, so there was even more brightwork than on the standard model, and this one has been preserved so nicely that all of it is present. Possibly the best part of all is where the roof color and chrome appear to come together on the iconic Buick Rallye wheels. The interior takes its cues from the roof, too. The vinyl seats are glossily, black, and look brand new. This fresh color extends to the door panels, carpets, and even the dashboard. But what really makes this Buick attractive is the interior trim. There's plenty of brightwork, from the badges embedded in the doors, to the strip of trim that stretches across the dashboard. As a Deluxe model, this also gets a special steering wheel and armrests. Plus there are some great factory options such as the AM/FM radio, and ice cold air conditioning that has been converted to R134a for easy servicing. Under the hood is Buick's 300 cubic-inch V8 the Wildcat 310 name on the original air cleaner is a reference to its torque rating. This is the correct motor for the car, and all signs point to it being the powerplant this coupe had when it left the the Flint, Michigan factory nearly 50 years ago. The five bearing motor is both smooth and powerful, which is everything you want in a Buick. Combine this with power steering, power brakes, and an ST-300 automatic transmission, and this Super Deluxe is a true all-day cruiser. This is a thoroughly documented Buick that includes the original window sticker, dealer invoice, service booklet, and owner's manual. We know this coupe was sold less than an hour from our showroom in Kannapolis, NC, and the car has lived all of its life in that suburb. It's rare that you will ever find a cool cruiser with a full history like this for under $20K. My grandfather bought this car new, and I wish I could restore it, but don't have the money. It was last driven in 1977 and the motor was last turned 3 or 4 years ago. The body is solid, with some surface rust; no major damage. The interior is rough. The speedometer had been taken apart but I believe the parts are all there..A new motor was installed in 1951. I'm asking $3250 and hoping someone local gets it so I can see it restored!

What I have up for sale is a beautiful 1954 Buick Special 2 door sedan with the original 264 Nailhead V8 and the Dynaflow automatic transmission. Car has quite a few new parts and was given a moderate restoration back in the 1980s. The vehicle has 92,560 miles which have not rolled over. To give the right amount of detail I'll break down into separate categories regarding this fine automobile: 1. Body: Body is in amazing shape. There are no signs of rot or cancerous metal. All body panels line up as they should and are free from major defects. The paint on the roof is new as of 2013. The body was painted sometime in the late 80s with a lacquer paint which still has a lot of luster. There are some minor spots where the paint has chipped and I've touched it up with paint that came with the car when I bought it. Undercarriage is clean and the floor boards are solid. All stainless steel trim and chrome fit the way they are supposed to. 2. Engine/Transmission: Engine currently has 92,560 miles on it. The miles have not rolled over and the engine runs smoothly. The Nailhead series of engine are known for being robust and this engine has plenty of life left in her (a friends 322 V8 lasted without modification for 255k mi). I have never taken the valve covers off so I cannot confirm if any work has been done to the engine. I change the oil every 2500 miles and I've only driven the car 6,000 miles since I've owned it. Many of the solenoids, ballasts, wires, relays, etc have been replaced in the engine compartment with either NOS parts or quality reproduction parts. The radiator was replaced only a few months ago with a exact reproduction of the factory one (from Cap-A-Radiator in NY). The carburetor is a rebuilt Stromberg 2 bbl which is factory correct for this model. The vacuum starter is present on the carb but its not hooked up. Instead a push button has been allocated under the dash for starting purposes. All someone needs to do is relocate the wires to the solenoid to utilize the floor start feature on this car. The transmission is the correct 1954 Dynaflow and it has been rebuilt. I have receipts from the previous owner for the rebuild. This car will start in temperatures from 18 degrees to 100. It will cruise quietly and smoothly up to 75 MPH (cars of this era weren't designed to go much faster). 3. Brakes: Work as they should. This car is equipped without power brakes. It currently has the standard brake setup with drums. This system is quite effective and it'll stop in a hurry if you need it to. I find stopping with this system is more responsive than other power brake units in cars of todays make. 4. Electronics: Everything works on this car. Every light bulb from the headlights to the backup lights. Even the trunk light still works as well. The original radio (vacuum tube) is installed with a Redi-rad which is a device that converts MP3 tunes from a smart phone or Ipod to the 1000 AM bandwidth. This allows you to listen to whatever tunes your heart desires without any modification to the original radio. You can use the dials and switch to other stations in your area if you prefer sports talk or news (which is typically on AM these days). 5. Suspension: Everything has been replaced as of 2013 in regards to the suspension. I've installed new coil springs all the way around and I've replaced the shocks with the correct type for 1954 (including the rear lever action shocks). The kingpins were replaced by the previous owner and are only about 5 years old or so. Other bushings are older but they are still holding up well and show no signs of dry rot. 6. Glass: All the glass is factory OEM with the EZ-EYE markings from the factory. This is a special tint that was applied at the factory for customers who ordered it from their respective dealership. All windows crank up and down without issue. 7: Interior: Most of the interior is original or its been replaced with correct interior material. The headliner is a beautiful grey mohair and the seats are a combination of cloth and vinyl. Dash is in good shape but some of the paint isn't as lustrous as it could be. And now for the extra parts: 1 NOS Buick hood (was preserved in dry storage for 60 years...it is literally brand spanking new), 1 set of rear lever action shocks, various solenoids/relays, original Buick advertisement, NOS dash plate, extra horn ring, etc (I have quite a bit of stuff for this car!) That about covers it. If you have any questions please let me know before bidding. The winner for this auction is responsible for all transportation costs. This car can be driven home without an issue as I've taken this as far as NYC from DC. Winning bidder is responsible for payment within 10 business days of auction close unless other arrangements are made. Failure to do this means you forfeit your bid and the car will be relisted. She's a beautiful and strong girl....with plenty of enjoyment to give to a new owner. I hope she finds a fun new owner who'll enjoy her as much as I have. Only selling to purchase another classic car. Thanks for looking!

For many, the appeal of the smallest Buick can be explained by its big car comfort and power and Chevy-sized package, making for one formidable factory hot-rod. The "CMC" paint code on the cowl tag is for the tri-tone combination that was popular on '50s Buicks, sandwiching code M Seminole Red between code C Dover White top and side coves for a truly dazzling effect. No paint job in 1956 ever looked this good, which we can credit to modern paint technology, and the finish will probably look this good for years to come thanks to durable materials. It's clear someone did their homework, because this sucker fits together extremely well. And talk about chrome! That massive grille is composed of dozens of separate pieces, each of which was stripped, polished, plated, and reinstalled to create the grinning countenance that is the Buick front end. Impressive! Of course, it also includes the three "venti-ports" signifying a Special, plus the famous Buick sweep-spear whose shape is still seen in Buicks built today. The brand-new two-tone interior is nothing short of artwork. GM designers in the '50s were the best in the world, and this car shows you why. The black and red seats are wide and comfortable, of course, with flashy door panels to match and both the carpet and headliner are new. And as long as we're looking at the doors, note how the exterior paint wraps around the door jambs, a sure sign of a high-quality job. The red steering wheel is a nice touch and the wrap-around dash embraces chrome just as much as the front-end of the car does. The gauges are showing a bit of age but they do give you a complete view of the engine and the original Sonomatic AM radio still lives in the center of the dash with that incredibly ornate speaker grille below it. The trunk is obviously quite original, and reproduction trunk mats are widely available, so it would be easy to push it to the next level without a big investment. Buick's 322 cubic inch "Nailhead" V8 was standard across the line for the first time in 1956, meaning that the Special finally had the horsepower to match its big brothers. Nicely detailed when the car was restored, the engine wears Buick Turquoise paint and a stock air cleaner with a factory 2-barrel carburetor underneath. Still running its original generator, the car sticks to the factory specifications throughout and the radiator up front is new, so it runs nice and cool. Buick's Dynaflow transmission was a bit more sophisticated by 1956, but it's still impossibly smooth out on the road, where speed creeps up on you without anyone noticing. The suspension is commendably supple, and even with drum brakes all around, braking is confident. Optional full wheel covers are a nice upgrade, and it rides on G78-15 wide whites, just as it did when new. The Special gives you all the style of the Century at a fraction of the price. Like I said, if you like chrome, there aren't many better choices than this.
