Having to list my BMW again because of a SECOND PERSON that is unable to read. Perhaps some of the words were to complicated so here is a description in all capital letters and small words so every one will be able to understand. Please read the description carefully. ATTENTION: THIS CAR IS NOT RUNNING. YOU WILL NOT BE FLYING IN AND DRIVING IT HOME TO VIRGINIA. IF YOU THINK YOU CAN BUY A CAR LIKE THIS AT THIS PRICE IN RUNNING CONDITION KEEP LOOKING AND GOOD LUCK. THIS IS A BMW 4.8 is. IF THE CAR WAS RUNNING I WOULD BE SELLING IT FOR TWICE THE MONEY. This car was my baby. Purchased for me by my wife. We have had years of enjoyment with this fun and powerful Ultimate Driving Machine. We have had the car for about four years. Now the bad news!!!! The car was perfect until my mechanic, while test driving the car after some routine service, hit a shovel and construction debris on the road that bounced out of the back of a pickup truck. The shovel damaged the hood and cracked the windshield. We had a new hood and a new windshield installed on the car. On the way to the paint shop to have the hood painted my painter said that the car started running rough and then shut down. He was unable to re-start the car but it was turning over. We had it towed to the paint shop and had the hood finished. The car was then delivered to the mechanic to have the non start issue resolved. He checked compression, fuel injection and ignition. Installed a couple of new sensors. All systems were in great shape. My mechanic who has all of the latest BMW factory scanners was puzzled because the scanners showed no code. He changed the spark plugs and still would not start. He then cleaned the fuel tank and put in fresh fuel thinking that the fuel might be bad. Still no start even though it had fuel pressure. At that point he checked the oil level and found the issue. The damage to the car caused by hitting the shovel had caused damage to the oil filter. My mechanic tells me that the car ran low on oil and damaged the main bearings. He has informed me that the main bearings need to be replaced and perhaps the crankshaft may need machining. I am not going to repair the car so my loss is your gain. If you are a BMW mechanic this is a great opportunity for you to repair and enjoy. This was the fastest SUV in the world in 2004. This car has every option. Heated seats, memory seats, electric tilt and telescopic wheel, leather sport seats, cold weather package, sport package, panoramic sun roof, navigation, CD changer. The body is perfect and the paint is like new. One new front air strut installed last year and an almost new strut in a box in the back of the car. Rear tires have 85% tread left. Front tires about 45%. Alloy wheels in great shape. Dashboard and wood trim are in good shape. Some very small cracks in the wood trim in a couple of places. NOTE: I have started working on the car again and am going to get a second opinion about he bearing repair. If I get this automobile running I may decide to keep it or re-list at a higher price.
