You won't find a 6 speed 2005 M3 with a non salvage/rebuilt title for this price. Has some dings, and some spider cracks that aren't too bad, but are there. A little rust bubble forming too. What matters is that mechanically it is sound. Passed emissions last month, all monitors ready, no lights on. Original key with fob plus valet key included, along with owner's manual and tow hook. During cold mornings the check engine light sometimes comes on and goes away, it's a code for the efficiency of one of the catalytic converters, it's a common issue and can either be tuned out by tuning the DME at the dealership, or most upgrade to headers with no cats and a tune. Doesn't bother me since I pass emissions just fine and only happens during the cold weather. I haven't seen any other SMG to 6 speed converted cars being for sale yet. This means the parts are about a year old so no smg issues or clutch jobs to worry about for a very long time. It's not a cheap swap, prepare to pay between $4,000-$5,000 for the conversion depending on brand of parts used and region of where it's done. Also have a loan on it, but I'll pay it off ahead of time if it sells. Obtaining my title will take about 5 days from my bank. Shipping arrangements etc. can be done while I wait for the title. Just a refundable $500 deposit has to be paid within 48 hrs of winning to assure buyer is serious. ***over $6,000 in receipts during my ownership of maintenance done within the last 8,000 miles or sooner. Up for consideration is my mint 1988 BMW M3, with a Clean, Clear Illinois Title in hand. When I purchased the car it was already in pretty good condition spending the majority of its life in sunny Florida, NEVER HAD ANY RUST .... Although the original paint clear coat was starting to fade and delaminate. What started out as a paint job became a full blown restoration to this BMW classic, I have listed everything done to the car in detail below. When the car was brought to the body shop the front and rear bumpers, trunk, hood, sunroof, mirrors, side skirts were removed and stripped down, as well as the rear side glass/side sills and the windshield being removed (anything that could be removed from the body to improve the final job was done) before proper prep and paint. After the exterior was fully completed, I started with the interior and down the line with electrical and mechanical. All with the main goal of making drive and stop as good as it looks. Rear tire tread is low, and ready to be replaced, because I'm barely driving it (2mi round trip to work) I'm not looking to toss on new tires with winter around the corner. Brakes are the other area of to note as the rears have about 20% life and fronts are about 60%. With the car sitting often, I've felt a bit of a vibration which has been diagnosed as a bit of a warp in the rotors. However, with them being ready for replacement on the rear, I recommend identifying the axle where the vibration is occurring and swap them out. I believe my price is reflective of the areas that need to be attention. Most Recent Maintenance:Control arm bushings replaced at 60k. Belt replaced at 60k Alternator Replaced at 60k. Water pump and thermostat replaced at 60kBanjo fitting for power steering pump replaced. Last serviced around 60k for oil, fluids, updated inspection.Extras:I have a set of 17" winter wheels and tires that I slapped on this winter. They may have ~500 mi on them, if that.
