2001 BMW 530i Auto 4 Dr SedanPrior to acquiring the vehicle we had a Carfax preformed and confirmed it was never involved in an accident or any other issues. We recently inherited a new vehicle allowing for the sale of the BMW Unlike many of these BMW 5 series cars we have detected no serious mechanical issues regarding the engine or transmission. The car has an excellent body with not major dents or scratches outside of some rock chips on the front of hood and small scuff on the right edge of rear bumper.. There is no fading of the paint on the body or bumpers. The interior leather have some soiling but no rips or tears nor is there any damage to the dash or rear deck. The tires are good. The brakes are good. The sunroof operates properly and doesn't leak. We have had the oil changed and front end aligned. All the blinkers and lights operate correctly with exception of a fog lamp. The sun roof operates properly and doesn't leak. The car is a joy to drive to the point of being therapeutic. Be leery of anyone stating their BMW not having issues. Owning and driving one of these great cars comes with a price. The vehicle has some many accessories, gadgets and amenities that over time many will need attention. Owner have two options 1) take the vehicle to a BMW dealer and pay a king's ransom with no guarantee they will install the correct item necessary the first time 2) Access one of the many forums and member sites such as Bimmerfest for help. These sites provide owners the ability to communicate with many other owners who have tackled the exact problem and provide their insights and alternatives to repair the issue themselves usually for a fraction of the cost. Anyone with a mechanical or analytical skill set can greatly benefit from this vast wealth of information. We intended to go this route in repairing our issues when our garage was completed this spring had we not decided to sell it now. We want to be as accurate as possible in describing the cars issues because the car is being sold as is without any warranty implied. You are welcome to call us at 360 628-1526 to ask questions, request an inspection or additional information or photos. Know Issues: The self adjusting headlights need rebuilt and have been set in a fixed position for now. There is a very small oil leak from the passenger side valve cover which drips onto the catalytic sensor. This produced an error code once. The speedometer works occasionally. We have the new sensor to repair this. The cruise control doesn't work and also needs a sensor. ABS and traction lights are lit and need replacement or cleaning of sensors. The windshield is cracked but the automatic wiper system still operates. The passenger front window is off it's track. The motor seems good but the door panel will need to be removed to correct. We have taped and added a piece of molding to eliminate noise and moisture from entering the cabin. The floors are soiled as is the truck floor and should be shampooed or heavily detailed. The lettering and number on the radio controls in the cabin are garbled. The radio's amplifier and Yamaha multi disc player are intact in the trunk but will need to hooked up. The car came with the ADS amps shown in trunk but were not wired. The amps are to be removed from the vehicle The new owner may offer to purchase them however their condition is unknown at this time. The finish on chrome wheels are peeling which is common were told. When we installed new tires we were told the the wheels' and their beads are in good condition outside of their cosmetic issue. When we had a front end alignment done we were told the passenger rear suspension needs to be adjusted. It isn't in need of parts but they would require a two hour shop fee to correct. Anyone smarter than us with a spot to perform them could have all these issues resolved corrected by Christmas for five hundred dollars including the windshield we were quoted 220 to install. CONDITIONSOptions such as power windows, cruise control, air conditioning etc. are not guaranteed however we will do our best to mention any items that are not working. Check engine lights and others will be mentioned if they are showing. We will not under any conditions guarantee the check engine lights or any dash warning lights and we do not do a diagnosis to see what it is because they can come on at any time for any number of reasons so these lights are not guaranteed if they come on for you. I am selling this 2008 2008 BMW 535XI AWG sedan. It comes with a full package, including all leather seating, heat seat front and back, parking sensor and satellite GPS. It has 86600 miles and I've being taking good care of the car. The wheels are changed 2013 and so are the brake pads. Never had an accident except scratched another car in the parking lot, and the scratch is already fixed. Please also note that this car is my boyfriend's car. He graduated and left the car to me.
