Alpine White 1988 BMW 325is - Texas car and completely original - one owner! Working odometer shows 155,949 miles. This car is all original and runs like a top. 5 speed manual transmission. Had been sitting in storage for years so we went completely through the car and did all the fluids (oil, transmission, differential, power steering, coolant and brake), changed spark plugs and wires, new battery, changed control arm bushings, guibo disc, transmission mounts, thermostat, replaced rotors and pads, replaced all four calipers, changed out ABS relay and converted AC to 134A and it blows cold. Has original radio that works as well as original on board computer that works. The radio LCD display has some bleed-through on the panel but still works fine. Original dash with no cracks whatsoever. Drivers side seatbelt retractor sometimes will not pull the belt all the way in. Leather on the drivers seat has some wear and cracks but no tears. Passenger seat is in good shape and the rear seats are like new. Power windows and locks, cruise control, sunroof and power mirrors all work - sometimes the passenger side window switch gets touchy. The body is in excellent shape with the exception of a dent in the front left fender near the headlight (see pictures). Tons of service records, all original manuals and paperwork, original Bentley service manual, original untouched toolkit, inspection/service light reset tool, lots of spare parts and more. Original 14" BBS wheels with Goodyear tires. This is an exceptional example and would be great for a collection or as a cool daily driver. 1989 BMW 325iS, Alpine White on gray vinyl sport interior, with 177k miles on (working) odometer. That’s correct, odometer is working on this E30! In great condition inside and out, I get countless of complements on car’s condition anywhere I drive. Mostly southern car (AZ, CA and TX) with only 1 year of northern residence with zero rust anywhere on the car. Vehicle has no accident history and all but one VIN tag are present. Passenger front fender is missing a VIN tag and therefore may had been replaced at some point, though tag on the hood is there. Paint is mostly original, mirrors had been recently resprayed due to rock chips. Paint is very shiny but reasonable wear along with normal dings should be expected. Clean history with clean Texas title. Mechanically speaking, this is probably as best as it is going to get. All maintenance is up today, including all new hoses, timing belt and pump in the last year. Bilstein sport shocks with H&R sport springs all around, providing tasteful/reasonable ride quality and drop in ride height. A/C works, blows ice cold and had been converted to R134. Automatic transmission shifts good with no issues. Lucky owner will also receive a full 5-speed conversion kit to go along with the car. I can also offer full conversion at a reasonable shop rate. Original exhaust had been replaced with Ansa exhaust. I do not have the original wheels. Previously owned by adult enthusiasts and a BMW certified tech. All pre-purchase inspections are to be performed/scheduled before auction end. I will only accept cash or cashier’s check. This is my personal car and I will not finance it. This is my five year long project. I had a vision and it's now complete. I brought this car home from Dallas Fortwoth in 2011 with about 300 miles less than it now has on it. I don't drive it, hense one reason I am selling. It has the original M42 engine in it. It was rebuilt at 130,000, I have the work order from the previous owner who had the work done. It has a Mark D Chip, not really sure what that does for this engine but it's a 4 cylinder engine. Limited slip rear diff. as well. If I was to keep it I would be looking into a V8 or S54 swap (BMW of course). The car runs great. Brakes are brand new all around. Flowmaster exhaust. I did some of the mods like a short shifter, which is very short and feels very solid. I put the Sparco seats in as well (I still have the stock leather sport seats). When I first brought the car home I gutted the interior and cleaned everything and put any fasteners that were missing by the previous owner back where they belonged. Some new parts here and there. The exterior was pretty much like you see it as far as paint. Body is dent free. I painted the rear lip spoiler. New euro light grills, they look a bit more evil (some pictures were taken before I put the light grills in), low beam lights are HID converted with Hella lenses. The lower chin spoiler is wrapped in 3M carbon fiber material, it was pretty pitted up and it was to see if I liked the look with carbon before painting. Needles to say, I liked it so stayed with it. I made the splitter from 3/16" aluminum and polished it to match the look of the wheels, very brite! Rear license plate black euro plate panel. I de-badged the deck lid but still have them if wanted. Plus lifetime window tint all around, no it's not window "tints", it's window tint. I know there are a few I'm forgetting.Now for the wheels, these are classic HRE 535 3 piece wheels. These are 16x9 out back and 16x7.5 up front with KDW BFG tires, also brand new. I bought the HRE's from a friend who had them mounted on his '79' Porsche 911. I had to have them and then I had a vision to have these on an E30. I had them completely gone over by one of the best wheel guys around and they look great. How they fit; rear hubs are M3 hubs machined down and drilled to 5x130 with drilled out rotors. The front is simply a 4x100 adaptech adapter to fit 5x130.Air-ride; The rear suspension is a Monroe shock and simple air bag, front fully converted strut housing with double bellow setup. I have done a lot of work to make this setup work and look good without sacrificing ride and bodywork. The wheels do not rub anywhere even when tucked under the rear lips. As far as driving you could still catch the front fenders if our not carefull with your ride height. The V2 controller has 8 programed settings or you can set it manually everytime you get in, up to you! It's all tucked up in the trunk between the shock towers with a brackett I made to accommodate the V2 air ride control computer, tank and compressor. I made the existing ashtray fit the V2 controller and seconded the ashtray to accommodate an iPhone, also integrated into the alpine head unit (see pictures). I HAVE TO WARN YOU! People will want to look at this car, it's weird but cool! I like cars and love how this car sits, but it will attract attention!This is a very nice and clean car but not perfect. It has rock chips in the front, it's original paint. There is no rust in the body of this car. There is one spot on the car that does not look stock. The drivers rocker has different orange peel to it, not factory and if you wanted perfection it could be addressed. I've never worried about it because it doesn't look terrible just the perfectionist coming out in me, anyway full disclosure. The car runs and drives exceptionally well. Not a harsh ride at all, firm like an expensive coil over setup. Handles very well. Very good gas mileage to go along with it!I love this car but I've always wanted a 911, so I'm selling this to get closer to that dream. 1989 BMW E30 325is with Mtechnic II kit and Hartge accessories Year: 1989 Make: BMW Model: 325is Mileage: 166,250 Color: Silver Interior: Black/M tech 044 cloth This car has been my passion project and pride and joy for the past 13 yrs. I spent a good 3 years looking for a perfect E30 until I found this 1989 325is. A real “is” with receipts for every single oil change every 3-4k miles. It was extremely clean and very well taken care of with no stories whatsoever so I bought it after looking at probably 20-30 other E30’s. The car was sold new on March 1989 by Reeves Imports BMW in Tampa, FL to Mr. Marvin Alexander. The second owner Mr. John Glasscock from St. Petersburg, FL then bought the car from Mr. Alexander in 1992. At some point he resided in TN and the car was registered there in 1998 and was then registered back again in St. Petersburg, FL when he returned back in 2000. I then purchased the car from Mr. Glascock in St. Petersburg, FL on March of 2003 with 163k Original miles which were easily verified by the extensive maintenance receipts and history. So I am the 3rd owner, the car has a clean carfax and no signs of any accidents. The previous owner commuted heavily between FL and KY racking up the 163k miles but he did religiously changed the oil and didn’t neglect the car of any maintenance which gave me full confidence on the car’s condition. He gave me all the receipts as proof so I have a 3” binder with all service records and parts invoices since the car was new including the original window sticker and purchase invoice! First oil service was done at 1,200 miles! I also have all registrations dating back to ’89! Soon after I bought it, the car received a re-spray in BMW Silver Grey metallic and a brand new Factory Original BMW M technic II body kit was installed. (For those who don’t know this is a factory BMW body kit, not an aftermarket bolt on special) Over the past 13 yrs I have also sourced and installed at an incredible expense and difficulty pretty much every original period correct Hartge accessory that was offered for these cars making it very rare and special. Altough not a Hartge built car this car has more Hartge parts on it than any real Hartge built car I’ve seen advertised in the US in the past 10 yrs. The interior was also upgraded with SRD style seats and an E30 M3 rear seat both re-covered in ridiculously expensive and impossible to find REAL M Tech 044 cloth as seen in the E30 M3 Sport Evolution. Car is beautiful and has been very reliable due to it’s extensive maintenance, oil has been changed every year regardless of mileage in my years of ownership! All upgrades and maintenance are less than 3k miles. The car has everything going for it as you will see, the paint shows very minor imperfections, just a couple chips in the front valance, some bubbling in the front bumper and a chip in the rear bumper from incorrectly removing the tow hook cover. The car has NO rust! Only rust you’ll see on this car is surface rust on exposed metal parts like exhaust bolts, the exhaust connections/welds etc, etc. All VIN tags are present, the ones on the front fenders are coming off but you can still see that they were there as you can see in the picture I took. The car runs super strong, it’s super tight with no strange sounds, shifts smoothly, feels really nice to drive and it sure pulls as strong as a stock e30 M3. Interior is also very nice, crack free dash, Original headliner professionally dyed black (looks awesome!), no stains on carpet and absolutely clean! The seats are clean with no rips, no burns, no stains. Being an “is” it also comes with the Premium Sound Speakers, full On Board Computer, Lighted Maplight Mirror and the 3.73 Limited Slip Differential. Nothing is missing from the car. All tools, jack, wrench and tow hook are there, even the white flashlight is in the glove box! This is definitely not your average E30, far from it, this has been a collectible of mine and has always been kept garaged, never daily driven under my ownership and a car that has always been very well taken care of by owners who have never cheap out on maintenance or cleanliness. I have only put about 3k miles in my 12 years of ownership, I have 4 other cars so this one only gets driven on short weekend drives or to shows only when the weather is nice. I hate rain! I like to wash and wax the car myself every time I take it out, I usually use Mothers carnauba wax with a regular mist of Showtime or spray wax on top. On the interior I only use Aerospace protectant and nothing else on the vinyl. Carpet and mats get vacuumed every time as well. Bad things I can think of are the amount of original cosmoline still present in the engine bay, the few paint chips I mentioned that are pictured below and the front bumper paint has some bubbling (I WILL HAVE THEM REPAINTED THIS WEEK BY ONE IF NOT THE THE BEST PAINT SHOP IN MIAMI), the rear bumper tow hook covers paint doesn't match 100%, the A/C acts up sometimes but the system is fine mechanically (I’ve pinned it down to a weak relay/switch/connection and the perpetual ~100 degree FL weather), the windshield has a scratch caused by an old wiper (can be polished out but never did as I wanted to eventually replace the windshield which is the original), tires are somewhat squared from the lack of driving but are always kept with air and have no cracks (they are fine once they drive/warm up). I've documented the major parts of the build on the list below. Many other small parts have been replaced and are just too extensive to list. For Sale is my 1991 318is purchased back in 2003. NO RUST ANYWHERE !!!!! Keep in mind that I have only taken this out for test driving after any work that was preformed. I never intended for this to be any type of project car but i just kept upgrading and removing the old and putting in new. It all started because I purchased and gave the seller a deposit for the car to be picked up the following day . Turns out that evening the car ,parked on a corner street was crashed into slightly, hit and run, ( front drivers fender and damaged the hood as well). Well i got this car with no additional monies being exchanged. Purchased these parts and the project started. Remember over the course of the years i have done all the work myself.In finding out that this particular car had a problem with the profile gasket, i decided to change this out. Upon tearing down I figured why not go all the way to the head gasket , as it was leaking some oil. So I did change out also had head inspected ,pressure tested new valves were suggested and installed. The block was also inspected and cleaned, all corresponding parts were installed new(Timing chain,tensioners,water pump,radiator hoses,heater hoses etc.) Throttle Body gasket and hoses, While working on motor, trans. was removed cleaned and fresh fluid ,rear main bearing seal changed out. New motor mounts,exhaust gaskets. On intake all vacuum hoses, boot and MAP Control and added an aftermarket cold air intake. The original air box is included. The alternator,power steering pump and all belts have been changed. The Air Cond, is disconnected and no belt is on. I was going to change that out as well, (Condensor and Drier are new). While the engine was lifted I also changed the power steering rack (rebuilt) Oil pan was removed cooling fins were chipped, so new OIL PAN with a new gasket installed. Front end had new control arms with bushings, new stabilizer bushings, inner and outer tie rods with Wheel Alignment. New Front hubs, rotors, and brake pads. Rear end had half axels changed, were leaking grease, new shocks and upper supports. Rear rotors and brake pads done as well. 4 new faulken tires with original basketweave rims and new caps. Rear diff, was topped off and cleaned.Underneath New Center Bearing on driveshaft,New Guimbo Disc Exhaust is new, convertor removed new pipe and has SS flow thru with new OEM muffler all the way back.The fender and hood were changed out with aftermarket pieces. My fault there because they don't align perfectly. Even though it looks good. I had this car painted 08/02/2012 , over 1400.00 spent with receipt ( asked for extra paint on hand if needed). Have not washed or had any water touch it. Again I began putting bumpers and moulding back on and have caused some ting scratches and chipping at spots. My problem is Im doing this by myself. The interior is in excellent condition no cracks on dash or torn seats. There is some material peeling from the sides of the passenger seat, I have never tried to strech and repair, ( shown in pictures) The sunroof cranks works smoothly,all gauges on cluster are working as they should. The OEM radio was removed but is included, a new pioneer radio was installed .The shifter cover is used ok condition, but a new one is included but not installed. I also have the 2 side moulding pieces with all new hardware and drivers side window trim. Additional parts that were changedWater Pump & Thermostat ,Cam Sensor,Crankshaft Sensor,Electric Fuel Pump and Relay ,Starter,Good Used Wiper Motor,New IS Lip,Hold Down For Spare,New blubs for Fog Lights,Side Markers,Brake Light Items known to need attention, Drivers Door Lock non operable from outside,Pass Door Works all doors.Air Cond. As MentionedRear Ash Tray I tried to describe this car the best of my ability its a great gas saving 4 cylinder or a car for a engine swap. I took numerous photos of the work in progress.and will include as many as I can. I dont have any idea what I want for this car as is but have seen others go for at least $5000 to $6000 with no NEW PARTS. This is a break down of my expenses !Purchase Price $2200Parts Invested $1500Entire Paint $1400New Tires $ 400Plus Labor , Numerous Hours , Yes my Choice But Id Guesstimate At A Reputable Auto Repair Shop $3000 GRAND TOTAL OF $8500 But Im LETTING HER GO FOR $6000.00 ITS A STEAL ( Now $5500 )Had Sold But Buyer Never Followed Thru !!! Took Car out for nice 50 mile ride. Handles tight and very responsive,Yes its only a 4 CYLINDER BUT GREAT POWER ! I had it up to 90 MPH with no problem,so the mileage stated is now additional . I dropped the price because now the passenger window is intermittant(at times it stays down and need help pulling up) and Im not putting any more time and money.
