It is obvious that it was garage kept and the previous owner took pride in their vehicle. The car starts right up, and runs and drives perfectly. The transmission shifts as it should. The brakes stop well. And it runs down the road straight. It is in excellent condition compared to most of the cars of similar year I see come through my shop. We are a wholesaler and make our living buying and selling cars through the dealer auctions. We only retail the best, cleanest units we get to the public. This BMW is finished in a beautiful and classy silver paint that still maintains its shine. The beautiful grey leather interior looks to be well kept tidy and clean. This particular BMW Convertible has only traveled 81k miles in its pampered life. That’s only 7300 miles a year! These BMW 3 series cars are extremely desirable cars. They consistently win car of the year and best sports sedan awards. They have an awesome open top driving experience, yet the driving characteristics of a sports car. This particular example is absolutely loaded. The owner ordered the sports package with the upgraded suspension and 17” wheels and the more aggressive front fascia and the sports seats with adjustable bolsters and thigh support, the premium package, which adds HID headlights and front parking sensors, and the cold weather package, which adds heated seats and mirrors. The full list of features includes, Power convertible top, Power windows, locks, mirrors, power seats, heated seats anti lock brakes, cruise control, front parking sensors, Harman Kardon stereo with optional aux input, and climate control with Ice cold air. The power top is in great shape and it goes up and down as it should. Another great feature of these BMW convertibles is that they have a glass rear window, which includes a rear defroster they do not suffer from the aging that convertibles with a plastic rear window inevitably experience. We ran the car through our shop, which does a thorough 100+ point mechanical and safety inspection. We do this with all the cars that we retail. The shop gave the car a clean bill of health, and we had them do the following repair / maintenance stuff before listing the car for sale: When we got the car the tires were marginal so we had a set of brand new tires installed for the next owner! I have personally driven this vehicle and it rides smooth and tracks straight at 80 mph +. The car had an intermittent check engine light for the secondary air injection system. We replaced the secondary air injection valve and vacuum line to address this. This is a very common BMW 3 series issue but we have already taken care of it for you. The air conditioning was not blowing as cold as it should so we had the system evacuated and charged and now it can freeze you out of the car. You may notice in the pictures that the center armrest is missing. Like all BMW 3 series cars the leather tends to wear prematurely on the armrest, so we sent it out to our upholstery shop to have it recovered in the matching leather, significantly detracting from the otherwise wonderful appearance of the interior. It will be back in the next day or two and be reinstalled in the car. There are no check engine lights, strange noises or fluid leaks. The engine is quiet, smooth and powerful. The transmission shifts as it should, and the car feels very planted and sure footed on the road. This particular car will make a great family car, commuter car, summer cruiser, or a safe and reliable first car for your new driver. Now every used car has its flaws – otherwise it wouldn’t be used! Here is what our inspection has revealed: The lower sideskirt on the driver’s side is starting to come a bit loose on the edge behind the front wheel. It may need a clip or to be reglued to the body. It’s barely noticeable but going over the car with a fine-toothed comb like we do it’s there. The driver’s seat is starting to show the typical BMW wear on the left bolster due to getting in and out of the car. Due to the low mileage of this particular example the wear is minimal. It’s not torn up like most 3 series cars with sports seats are. The rear driver’s side seat bottom has a small stain / possible burn a bit smaller than the size of a dime. The wheels have some scratches / curb marks. They are still straight and not bent like many BMW wheels, and our tire shop had no issue road force balancing the new tires. I have tried to photograph all the flaws as best I can so there are no surprises. Overall it’s a VERY nice car especially for the year. I would rate it an 8.5 /10 overall and I’m VERY picky with cars. I tend to be overly critical and under describe cars, but I’d rather you be impressed when you get your new car rather than disappointed due to the unrealistic descriptions that many dealers offer. Out of state residents must pay their own taxes when they go to register the car in their local municipality. All purchasers (including dealers) must pay a $150 documentation fee, which covers the cost of overnight mail and title transfer, ebay fees etc. Temporary vehicle tags are available to both in state and out of state residents, they cost $25. Non-resident temp tags are valid for 20 days from the date of issuance. Resident temp tags are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance. All cars are sold as-is where is with no warranty expressed or implied. All retail customers will be obligated to sign an as-is where is acknowledgement as part of the purchase paperwork.
