Audi discontinued the MK1 in 2006 with the last of the v6 models. The 2005 225 I4 quatro was a much better balanced car and easily chipped to exceed the V6's torque and power. So this iconic beauty is one of the latest you can buy. I'm only the second owner and I purchased it in 2007 and now has 74,500 miles. I've since upgraded the engine, suspension, audio and lights and it's become my favorite of all time car. Always garaged or under covered car port and fed Mobil 1 every 5,000 miles. You just won't find a better TT. The TT's wheel-centric curves are further enhanced by wheels spaced out a little to perfectly fill out the wheel arches. 235 tires on SSR brand 19" 3-part forged aluminum wheels with 15mm spacers complete the look. Also included are snow tires on their own 18" rims. (While most of the photo's are shot with the 19" summer wheels, you'll notice that the last 2 photo's are taken in the car port with the snow wheels.) The heated seats with baseball stitching are more eye candy. I broke the back window glass so the entire hood is now new. The motorized hood has a heated glass back window. I have an S4 and wanted the TT to equal the S4s breaking and acceleration performance. With StopTech big breaks and Miltech 3" down pipes all the way to the tail pipe, this high pressure K04 turbo equals the S4 and far surpasses it in cornering. (at 63, I'm no racer, I just like the rock solid stability under all conditions and the feel of that turbo power surge). The 6-disk CD changer is still in place but I have used the AUX port for a blue tooth hands free kit so I can use the audio system to play digital quality music wirelessley from my iPhone and answer the phone hands free. The standard 225 quatro comes with zenon HID low beam but I upgraded the brights with 55w HID and fogs with 30w HID. They really light up a dark road. The center section of LED dashboard is mottled and hard to read (see photo) and there some snow scratches to the sill under the drivers door immediately next to the under-body (see pictures 5 and 6). Absolutely no sign of rust anywhere. Audis in general carry their age very well and this 2005 TT still looks almost new. I''m getting the car detailed again this weekend so you can only be delighted when you drive it away.
