The 1994-1998 original Audi Cabriolet is the forgotten highway cruiser. It was such a nice car that it was even owned by Princess Di in British Racing Green. The 2.8 V6 is a great car for cruising the boulevard or road trips and is from a time when an Audi was truly a unique car and not just based on a VW chassis. This is a rare color 1998 Audi Cabriolet with 115,000 miles on it that just had the following work done: timing belt, thermostat, water pump front and rear brake pads and calipers, serpentine belt, 2 new tires. The timing belt and thermostat is over an 8 hour job and is worth knowing if it was done before you purchase one of these. This is my third Audi cabriolet from 1994-1998 that I have owned. I am only selling it because I just bought an Audi TT Quattro Roadster AKA a chopped and lowered Golf/Beetle with a bigger turbo. :) From a famous car magazine when the car was new... "Above all, this is an effortless car executing the routine chores of steering, braking, shifting gears and soaking up lumps and ulcers of antique asphalt without bothering its driver with such labors.The car is nice, in the nicest sense. Polite, without being the least bit boring. Relaxing, as in being one of those rare convertibles capable of carrying occupants any distance, day in and month out, without leaving them limp, element-blasted and travel bitchy." This car is a dream to drive on the highway. It is in super shape and has a great paint job. All options work except the radio is not working. It has rare super comfy gray cloth seats and a great condition top. The A/C works perfectly and the roof goes up and down quickly in manual mode. The temperature gauge and fuel gauge work perfectly when you fill it up but they work intermittently after that. I have many more pictures that I will load up. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly. The check engine light is on, and upon scanning reveals only a small evap leak (emmisions related) and does not affect the way this car runs or drives. Up for sale is a rare audi cabriolet in the rare british racing green with the 2.8 SOHC motor that was made from 1994-1998. It has only 90,000 and just had a tune-up plus the timing belt done as well as the power steering flushed and the power top fluid flushed. I just went on a 1500 mile trip and it was a champ! On the trip I discovered it needs a new driver side CV axle as it is making the usual clunk when it needs to be replaced. The cruise has never been tested but it has the cold weather package which is heated front seats that worked the last time I tested them. (Never needed in Florida) The following work was just performed: new battery Timing belt, AC is ice cold, Brakes all around, new soft top installed with perfect rear plastic window. The power top goes up and down flawlessly. The radio is a CD player. the driver lock is not working but the alarm is. The odometer works but the Temperature gauge works when it wants to as well as the right portion of the cluster does not light up. All 4 windows work great. The tires are in great shape. Please note the car has a slight crack in the front bumper and a few dings in the rear quarter panels. Please see pics. I would drive this car anywhere and it is a dream on the highway.
